생분해 어구 보급 확대에 따른 경제적 효과 분석 (Analysis of economic effects of expanding of biodegradable fishing gear)

  • Recently, as the global problem of marine debris and marine plastics is getting serious, various ways to solve them have been proposed, and the use of the biodegradable fishing gear is proposed as an alternative. Currently, 13 types of biodegradable fishing gears are available, but their penetration rate is only 8.7%. However, the need for the use of the biodegradable fishing gear is growing as awareness of protecting marine ecosystems is growing. Therefore, in this study, the economic effects of the expansion of biodegradable fishing gear distribution in Korea's coastal areas were analyzed through the conservation of marine ecosystems, augmentation of fisheries resources, and augmentation of fishing efficiency. According to the analysis, the economic effects of 52,795 million won, 105,590 million won, and 158,385 million won was generated as the distribution of biodegradable fishing gear were expanded to 10%, 20% and 30% across all gill net and trap.

Minimum Distance based Precoder Design for General MIMO Systems using Gram Matrix

  • Assuming perfect channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter and receiver, the optimization problem of maximizing the minimum Euclidean distance between two received signals by a linear precoder is considered for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems with arbitrary dimensions and arbitraryary quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) input. A general precoding framework is first presented based on the Gram matrix, which is shown for 2-dimensional (2-D) and 3-dimensional (3-D) MIMO systems when employing the ellipse expanding method (EEM). An extended precoder for high-dimensional MIMO system is proposed following the precoding framework, where the Gram matrix for high-dimensional precoding matrix can be generated through those chosen from 2-D and 3-D results in association with a permutation matrix. A complexity-reduced maximum likelihood detector is also obtained according to the special structure of the proposed precoder. The analytical and numerical results indicate that the proposed precoder outperforms the other precoding schemes in terms of both minimum distance and bit error rate (BER).

  • Purpose: This study was performed targeted to paramedic and doctors, to examine the frequency, importance, and admissibility of the tasks of paramedics, and to establish as a basis for expanding their business scope. Methods: The subjects were 282 paramedics and 58 doctors, and the study was performed from October 20 to November 19, 2014. The statistical analysis was done by using SPSS/WIN 20.0. Results: The results showed the difference between the legal business scope of paramedics and the actually performed work. The frequently covered areas were trauma, cardiac arrest, and respiratory care; however, severity classifications were the most important. Concerning drug administration, epinephrine administration seemed to be the most necessary. Conclusions: The findings of this study can be used as basic data to broaden the capacity building and business scope of paramedics. Furthermore, to increase the resuscitation rate of emergency patients, the various tasks of paramedics must be incorporated, and these should be supported by laws and institutions.

Factors Affecting on Regeneration in 'WHANGKEUMBAE' Pear (Pyrus pyrifolia)

  • Combinations of plant growth regulators, darkness treatments, and the order of expanding leaves for explants were evaluated for optimizing in vitro shoot regeneration rate of 'Whangkeumbae' pear. In a MS medium, supplemented with $8.88{\mu}M$ 6-benzylaminopurine (BA) and $0.49{\mu}M$ indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), green foci were observed on the surface of the callus 8 days after culture initiation. Some adventitious buds were later induced from those green foci, resulting in the appearance of normal shoots. In a medium containing $22.20{\mu}M\;BA$, the surface of the callus became compact and greenish, and many adventitious buds were formed over the entire area of the callus surface. When comparing BA concentration via histological observation, the section which had been treated with $22.20{\mu}M\;BA$ exhibited closer cell aggregation than those with $8.88{\mu}M\;BA$. The darkness treatment enhanced the formation of adventitious shoots for up to 3 weeks. The youngest two expanding leaves, proximal to the shoot apex, were proved to be the most regenerative, and yielded the highest shoot number per regenerating leaf. A fourth strength MS medium, which was supplemented with $0.54{\mu}M\;NAA$, yielded good quality plantlets, with regard to root number and root length.

The Effects of Exercise Commitment of University Water Sport Participants on Re-participation Intentions

  • Purpose: Today, participation rate of water sport has been dramatically increased due to expansion of leisure time and concerns. The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of the exercise commitment of university water sport participants on re-participation intentions and to induce insights for expanding water sport industry. Research design, data, and methodology: Subjects were collected from undergraduate students who participated water sports class in University. The sample was extracted by purposive sampling of nonprobability sampling method. To achieve the purpose of the research, survey was processed to 281 subjects. SPSS Version 21.0 was used to analyze the data. All statistical significance level was set to p<.05. In terms of measurement, items of demographic information, exercise commitment, and re-participation intentions were utilized. Results: The results are as follows. Frist, in the difference in exercise commitment and re-participation intention according to the grade, only the re-participation intention was significant. The effects of the exercise commitment of university water sport participants on re participation intentions were statistically significant. Conclusions: The findings indicate the function of sport club participants' commitment towards water sports in promoting their intentions to re-participation. The study suggested insights and future directions for expanding water sport markets and related industry.

주거용 건물의 난방 에너지 자립을 위한 기초 연구 (A Fundamental Study On the Self-Sufficient Heating Energy for Residential Building)

  • Leading developed countries have studied energy self-sufficient houses such as zero or low energy buildings to reduce energy consumption for buildings since the early 1990s. Moreover, some developed countries have actually constructed self-sufficient houses and operated them for demonstration, expanding use of such houses. Korea has also established Zero Energy Solar House(ZeSH) and studied energy independence. Therefore, this study analyzed research result regarding ZeSH, self-sufficient energy house hold of Korea, found out technologies used for heating energy independence, used building interpretation program(ESP_r) to evaluate performance of each factors and analyzed energy reduction quantitatively. Results from the research are as follows: Reduction rate of actual detached house's heating load was also analyzed quantitatively depending on application of each technology. When each factor was applied step-by-step, annual reduction rate of heating load depending on increase in insulation thickness reached 6.6~22.2 %. Annual reduction rate of heating load depending on increase insulation thickness, and change in window heating performance and area ratio reached 31.5 %. Annual reduction rate of heating load through high-sealing and high-insulation depending on change in leakage rate reached 40.0~88.9 %. Annual reduction of heating load, when Mass Wall and attached sun space was applied were applied reached 28.5~39.2 %, respectively.

유량 데이터 오차율 분석을 통한 최적의 유량데이터 취득방안 제안 (The Propose of Optimal Flow Data Acquisition by Error Rate Analysis of Flow Data)

  • Recently, application areas based on M2M (Machine-to-Machine communications) and IoT (Internet of Things) technologies are expanding rapidly. Accordingly, water flow and water quality management improvements are being pursued by applying this technology to water and sewage facilities. Especially, water management will collect and store accurate data based on various ICT technologies, and then will expand its service range to remote meter-reading service using smart metering system. For this, the error in flow rate data transmitting should be minimized to obtain credibility on related additional service system such as real time water flow rate analysis and billing. In this study, we have identified the structural problems in transmitting process and protocol to minimize errors in flow rate data transmission and its handling process which is essential to water supply pipeline management. The result confirmed that data acquisition via communication system is better than via analogue current values and pulse, and for communication method case, applying the industrial standard protocol is better for minimizing errors during data acquisition versus applying user assigned method.

OFDM 신호의 효율적인 PAPR 감소를 위한 적응적 Companding 기법 (An Adaptive Companding Scheme for Effective PAPR Reduction of OFDM Signals)

  • 본 논문에서는 시스템의 복잡도와 비트오율 (Bit Error Rate; BER) 성능을 모두 고려하여 OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 신호의 PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio)을 효과적으로 감소시키기 위한 적응적 Companding 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 OFDM 시스템의 변조 레벨에 따라 BER 성능과 PAPR 감소를 모두 고려하기 위해 송신단의 Compression과 수신단의 Expanding 함수를 적응적으로 변화시킨다. 또한 본 논문에서는 제안된 기법에 대한 스펙트럼 특성을 분석하고, 대역외 스펙트럼 전력을 감소시키기 위한 필터링 방안을 도입하여 적용한 후의 BER 성능을 확인하였다. 일반적인 Companding 알고리즘과 비교한 모의실험 결과, 제안된 기법은 PAPR 감소 측면에서도 효과적일 뿐만 아니라 스펙트럼 전력 측면에서도 좋은 특성을 넓이면서도, 필터링 사용 유무에 관계없이 BER 성능도 매우 우수함을 확인할 수 있었다.

A prospective study of fully covered self-expandable metal stents for refractory benign pancreatic duct strictures

  • Background/Aims: Fully covered self-expanding metal stents (FCSEMSs) are a relatively novel option for treating painful main pancreatic duct refractory strictures in patients with chronic pancreatitis. Herein, we aimed to assess the efficacy, feasibility, and safety of FCSEMSs in this patient group. Methods: This prospective single-center study included patients who underwent endoscopic retrograde pancreatography with FCSEMS placement. The primary endpoints were the technical and clinical success rates. A reduction in visual analog scale pain score of >50% compared with that before stent placement was defined as clinical success. Secondary endpoints were resolution of pancreatic strictures on fluoroscopy during endoscopic retrograde pancreatography and the development of stent-related adverse events. Results: Thirty-six patients were included in the analysis. The technical success rate was 100% (n=36) and the clinical success rate was 86.1% (n=31). There was a significant increase in stricture diameter from 1.7 mm to 3.5 mm (p<0.001) after stent removal. The mean visual analog scale pain score showed statistically significant improvement. At 19 months of follow-up, 55.6% of the patients were asymptomatic. Stent migration (16.7%), intolerable abdominal pain (8.3%), development of de novo strictures (8.3%), and mild pancreatitis (2.8%) were the most common adverse events. Conclusions: FCSEMS placement showed good technical and clinical success rates for achieving pain relief in patients with refractory main pancreatic duct strictures.

부동산금융 유형별 익스포저 이연 사례 연구: Loan의 왜곡과 Value의 과대평가 문제를 중심으로 (A Case Study of the Deferred Exposure by Real Estate Finance Types: Focusing on the Distortion of Loan and the Overestimation of Value)

  • 본 연구는 저금리 상태에서 부동산금융과 금융기관이 부동산 가격에 영향을 주는 구조를 파악함으로써, 익스포저의 이연에 따른 잠재 위험 확대란 관점에서 금융기관이 부담하게 되는 위험을 밝히는 데 주목적이 있다. 이를 위해 부동산금융을 위험관리 측면에서 자금조달 방식과 가치 측정의 유형에 따라 분류하여 각 사례에 대해서 분석한다. 분석 결과, 수익형 부동산의 경우 자본환원율(이하 Cap Rate)을 하락시켜 공정가치의 산출방식에 직접 영향을 미침으로써 부동산 가격 상승에 영향을 주고, 비수익형 부동산의 경우 투자자 또는 금융기관의 레버리지 폭을 확대시킴으로써 부동산 가격 상승에 영향을 주고 있음을 알 수 있다. 본 사례 분석을 통해 최근 10여 년간 지속적으로 부동산 가격이 상승하고 있는 것은 금융시장의 선진화에 따른 부동산금융의 성장, 10여 년간 이어져 온 저금리 기조의 지속 등의 환경 하에 금융기관의 손실을 막기 위한 잠재 부실의 이연 등이 그 원인의 일부라고 판단되며, 이는 금융기관이 부담해야 할 위험의 증가로 연결된다.
