  • A porous material with a surface layer was fabricated from glass abrasive sludge and expanding agents. The glass abrasive sludges were mixed with expanding agents and compacted into precursors. These precursors were sintered in the range of $700-900^{\circ}C$ for 20 min. The sintered porous materials had a surface layer with smaller pores and inner parts with larger pores. The surface layer and closed pores controlled water absorption. As the expanding agent fraction and the sintering temperature increased, the porosity and pore size increased. The porous materials with $Fe_2O_3$ and graphite as the expanding agents had a low absorption ratio of about 3% or lower while the porous material with $CaCO_3$ as the expanding agent had a higher absorption ratio and more open pores.

  • A porous material with a surface layer was fabricated using glass abrasive sludge and expanding agents. The glass abrasive sludges were mixed with expanding agents and compacted into pellets. These pellets were sintered in the range of $700-900^{\circ}C$ for 20min. The sintered porous materials had a surface layer with smaller pores and inner parts with larger pores. • Online financial counseling services are increasingly expanding with the rise of artificial intelligence-based chatbots. It is very important to examine the effects of emoticons noted as alternatives for communicating emotions in online communication between consumers and companies. In this paper, we examine how the use of emoticons affects the consumer's response and investigate the moderating roles of type of counseling agents (human vs. chatbot) and the consumer's subjective financial knowledge. The results show that the use of emoticon in the conversation brings a positive effect on the consumer's intention to use of online chat counseling service. When participants had relatively low subjective financial knowledge, they had higher intention to use online chat counseling services with emoticons only when the agent type was chatbot. When the type of counseling agent was human, this positive effect of the emoticon did not occur. On the other hand, when participants had relatively high subjective financial knowledge, they had higher intention to use online chat counseling service with emoticons only when the agent type was human. This study contributes to providing practical implications to build online chat counseling service using chatbot in the financial industry by studying users' intention depending on the type of agents and the level of their subjective knowledge.

  • In the end of 2007, Korea Government promulgated the Rule of 'Basic Act of Logistics Policy' for improving international logistics forwarding business. The goals of these rules are to achieve the development of our nation's economics for providing the security and efficiency of logistics system and enforced competition of logistics enterprises. This is established the basic principles of the legal basis for expanding into the Logistics Hub Center of North-east Asia. However In May 1999 new licensing requirements for ocean freight forwarders and NVOCCs operating in the USA were established by the US Federal Maritime Commission(FMC). Due to these regulations, each ocean transportation service provider in the USA acting as ocean freight forwarder, NVOCCs, or NVOCC agent must obtain a license to operate as Ocean Transportation Intermediary(OTI) before it begins operations. Only licensed OTIs may act as US transportation agents or receiving agents of other NVOCCs, on both US exports and imports. In this context, I think this study will be contributes for the development of korean freight forwarding system by analysis and comparing with between the Rule of the Basic Act of Logistics Policy of Korea and OTI freight forwarder & NVOCCs of USA.

  • This paper is a study on information Quality of Domestic Call Center Information System; recognized the importance of information quality and analyzed the impact on use and satisfaction of users following information quality which is a success element and ultimately the impact on user's performance by expanding information quality evaluating model by Jeong-Woo Lee et al.(2003) who reflected domestic special corporate culture based on information system success model by DeLone and McLean(2003). This is meaningful in providing theoretical foundation for efficient information quality supply and building quality management system at call center in future and provides hints to be considered in raising understanding of consultants on provided information and arranging ground that can utilize it in a timely manner.

  • In the last decade, face analysis, e.g. face detection, face recognition, facial expression recognition, is a very lively and expanding research field. As computer animated agents and robots bring a social dimension to human computer interaction, interest in this research field is increasing rapidly. In this paper, we introduce an artificial emotion mimic system which can recognize human facial expressions and also generate the recognized facial expression. In order to recognize human facial expression in real-time, we propose a facial expression classification method that is performed by weak classifiers obtained by using new rectangular feature types. In addition, we make the artificial facial expression using the developed robotic system based on biological observation. Finally, experimental results of facial expression recognition and generation are shown for the validity of our robotic system.

  • Disk galaxies abound with intermediate-scale structures such as OB star complexes, giant clouds, and dust spurs in a close geometrical association with spiral arms. Various mechanisms have been proposed as candidates for their origin, but a comprehensive theory should encompass fundamental physical agents such as self-gravity, magnetic fields, galactic differential rotation, and spiral arms, all of which are known to exist in disk galaxies. Recent numerical simulations incorporating all these physical processes show that magneto-Jeans instability (MJI), in which magnetic tension resists the stabilizing Coriolis force of galaxy rotation, is much more powerful than swing-amplification or the Parker instability in forming self-gravitating intermediate-scale structures. The MJI occurring in shearing and expanding flows off spiral arms rapidly forms structures elongated along the direction perpendicular to the arms, remarkably similar to dust spurs seen in HST images of spiral galaxies. In highly nonlinear stages, these spurs fragment to form bound clumps, possibly evolving into bright arm and interarm H II regions, suggesting that all these intermediate-scale structures in spiral galaxies probably share a common dynamical origin.

  • Recent trends in deep reinforcement learning (DRL) have revealed the considerable improvements to DRL algorithms in terms of performance, learning stability, and computational efficiency. DRL also enables the scenarios that it covers (e.g., partial observability; cooperation, competition, coexistence, and communications among multiple agents; multi-task; decentralized intelligence) to be vastly expanded. These features have cultivated multi-agent reinforcement learning research. DRL is also expanding its applications from robotics to natural language processing and computer vision into a wide array of fields such as finance, healthcare, chemistry, and even art. In this report, we briefly summarize various DRL techniques and research directions.

  • Although recent advances in molecular targeted therapy and immuno-oncology have revolutionized the landscape of lung cancer therapeutics, cytotoxic chemotherapy remains an essential component of lung cancer treatment. Extensive evidence has demonstrated the clinical benefit of chemotherapy, either alone or in combination with other treatment modalities, on survival and quality of life of patients with early and advanced lung cancer. Combinational approaches with other classes of anti-neoplastic agents and new drug-delivery systems have revealed promising data and are areas of active investigation. Chemotherapy is recommended as a standard of care in patients that have progressed after tyrosine kinase inhibitors or immune checkpoint inhibitors. Chemotherapy remains the fundamental means of lung cancer management and keeps expanding its clinical implication. This review will discuss the current position and future role of chemotherapy, and specific consideration for its clinical application in the era of precision medicine.
