분진 및 질소산화물 동시처리를 위한 1톤 중유 보일러용 세라믹 필터 집진기의 성능실험 (Performance Test of Ceramic Filter Collector for the heavy-oil boiler for Concurrent treatment Dust and Nitrogen Oxides)

  • The product developed in this study is a ceramic catalyst filter for 1 ton heavy-oil boiler that can simultaneously process dust and nitrogen oxides. This has been developed for simultaneous processing of nitrogen oxides and dust at high efficiency of hot exhaust gas (approximately $300^{\circ}C$) generated after burning 1 ton heavy oil boiler. Ceramic catalytic filters for 1 tonne heavy-duty glass display are technologies that remove 90% of dust and 85% or more of nitrogen oxides. This is an improved new technology to integrate exhaust ventilation and desiccation devices into one, thereby reducing the production process and improving the economy. To this end, the performance test of the catalytic filter for heavy oil boilers was carried out, and the durability of the PLC circuit was constructed.

  • Recently, various after-treatment systems, such as LP-EGR(Low Pressure-Exhaust Gas Recirculation), SCR(Selective Catalytic Reduction) and LNT(Lean NOx Trap), were developed to obey the stringent emission regulations of diesel engine. There are many researches on LP-EGR system because it has advantages of NOx reduction and low fuel consumption. But, condensation water is generated in internal of intercooler tube and it contains various types of anion that cause the corrosion of aluminium tube. In this study, it is examined that the condensation water effects on corrosion of aluminium tube. And method for improvement of corrosion characteristics is investigated using the dipping and electrochemical test.

  • Air pollutants nitrogen oxides are inevitably generated in the combustion reaction. Its amount trend is steadily increasing because the rapid modern industrialization and population growth. For this reason, NOx is controlled to reducing the harmful components in the exhaust gas. So Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) take effect 'Tier I', 'Tier II' of air pollution regulation in 2005 and 2011 respectively. According to NOx emissions are strictly regulated management of the vessel through them. In addition, since 2016 the regulation enter into force in the next step 'Tier III' was confirmed by MEPC 66th committee. It's 80% enhanced emissions limits than the 'Tier I' Alternatively these emission regulation, research is actively being carried out about exhaust gas after-treatment methods through the vessel application of Selective Catalytic Reduction(SCR). Therefore depending on the basic specification of cell density according to the Area velocity, Space velocity, Linear velocity is studied the effects of NOx removal efficiency

  • To meet the Tier-4 emission standard, a variety of combustion technology in the field of off-road engine has been applied in conjunction with the engine after treatment technology. In this study, as the basis study for applying VGT and HPL EGR to 3.6 L CRDi engine, exhaust gas characteristics and fuel economy characteristics are confirmed in accordance with VGT and EGR operating conditions. Consequently, in the EGR applicable conditions, 60% VGT vane duty condition was confirmed that the trade-off characteristics between NOx and smoke are advantageous. In addition, in view of BSFC, VGT vane duty is considered desirable to control at around 50%.

건설기계용 Urea-SCR 시스템의 촉매전단에서 암모니아 균질도 해석 및 DeNOx 성능에 관한 연구 (Study on Ammonia Uniformity and DeNOx Analysis in the Urea-SCR System for Construction Machinery)

  • In this study, the spray atomization characteristics of urea injector used in SCR system for construction machinery was analyzed, and the uniformity index at the front of mixer and NOx conversion efficiency were evaluated through numerical analysis. Spray visualization and droplet size/velocity measurement were performed and the measured results were used to verify the spray analysis model to calculate the uniformity index in the exhaust gas after-treatment system. For the flow analysis, STAR-CCM, a three-dimensional CFD, was used and the uniformity index of the SCR system at the front of the mixer was calculated using the droplet dissociation model and the wall collision model. Finally, the DeNOx performance for the average condition of the NRTC driving mode was calculated to understand the NOx conversion efficiency reflecting the exhaust gas temperature. The simulation results show that the uniformity index at the front of mixer was calculated as 0.862 and DeNOx efficiency was 75.9%.

  • 디젤 엔진은 가솔린 엔진에 비해 열효율이 높고 이산화탄소 배출량이 적다. 그러나 입자상물질(PM)과 질소산화물(NOx)의 배출량이 가솔린 엔진보다 많은 단점을 가지고 있다. 디젤 엔진의 연소 배출물 중 질소 산화물을 저감시키기 위하여 LNT와 Urea-SCR과 같은 후처리 시스템이 최근 활발히 연구되고 있다. Urea-SCR은 Urea 수용액을 공급하기 위한 2차 분사 시스템이 필요하고, 분사된 Urea 수용액의 분무 거동 특성과 균일도에 따라서 촉매의 효율이 크게 달라진다. 본 연구에서는 배기관에 분사된 Urea 수용액의 분무균일도를 향상시키기 위하여 인젝터의 기초 분무 특성을 파악하였고, 모사배기관 시스템과 가시화 장비를 이용하여 배기관내에서의 분무 거동 특성을 파악하였다.

다양한 주행모드에 따른 천연가스(CNG) 및 경유 사용 대형자동차의 배출가스 특성에 관한 연구 (An Investigation on the Emission Characteristics of Heavy-duty Vehicles using CNG and Diesel Fuel According to the Various Driving Cycles)

  • The contribution levels of emissions from the heavy-duty vehicles have been continuously increased. Among the exhaust emissions, NOx (nitric oxides) have a ratio of 73.2% and particle matters have a proportion of 61.8% in the heavy-duty vehicles. Also, natural gas vehicles have the 78.9% of total registered local buses in Korea. Therefore, the investigation on emission characteristics of heavy-duty vehicles using CNG and diesel fuel according to the various driving cycles was carried out in this study. In order to analyze the emission characteristics, the five kinds of buses by using CNG and diesel fuels with a after-treatment devices (DPF, p-DPF) was used and five test driving schedules were applied for analysis of emission characteristics in a chassis dynamometer. To analyze the exhaust emission, the exhaust emission and PM analyzers were used. From this study, it is revealed that diesel buses with after-treatment had reduced emission of CO, HC, PM but NOx. Also, NMHC emission of CNG bus have a higher level and NOx level was similar with diesel buses. In addition, emissions in NIER06 with slow average speed shows lowest levels compared to other test modes.

  • 국내 외에서 대기 오염에 대한 관심은 높은 편이며, 자동차 및 연료 연구자들은 깨끗한 (친환경 대체연료) 연료와 연료 품질에 맞춘 새로운 엔진 설계의 구성, 혁신적인 후처리 시스템 등의 접근을 통하여 차량의 배기가스 배출을 줄이려고 노력하고 있다. 이러한 연구는 다음과 같은 다양한 주요 이슈를 가져오게 된다. PM 배출량이 디젤과 가솔린 차량에 대해 규제해야 하는지 여부와 가솔린 및 LPG 차량이 PM 배출가스 규제에서 무시될 수 있는지 여부이다. 마지막으로 온실 가스 (C$CO_2$, $CH_4$, $N_2O$) 규제가 자동차 배출 규제를 포함하여 논의 것 등이다. 자동차의 온실 가스 및 배출가스(PM)는 환경오염, 건강 악영향 등의 원인으로 많은 문제점을 일으키게 된다. 본 논문에서는 자동차 저온 시동성 및 배출가스에 대해 LPG 연료의 영향을 논의하였다. 또한 본 논문은 시험 온도에 대한 배출가스 특성을 평가하였다. 이때의 시험온도는 시험모드 상의 온도와 국내 겨울철 최저온도를 기준으로 나누어서 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 시동성 및 배출가스, 온실가스 배출의 상관관계를 분석하고자 하였다.

수소-CNG 혼합연료 차량에서의 후처리장치용 촉매기술 동향 (A Trend of Catalyst Technology for After treatment on H2-CNG Mixed Fuel Vehicles)

  • 대형경유차는 수량이 적음에도 불구하고 높은 운행 빈도로 인해 대기오염물질의 높은 비율을 차지하고 있다. 이에 대한 해결책으로 저공해 자동차인CNG(CompressedNatural Gas)버스가 대두되고 있다. CNG차량의 배출가스는 경유에 비해 PM이나 NOx가 크게 감소되는 경향을 보인다. 본 연구에서는 친환경 연료인 CNG에 수소를 혼합한 연료를 이용한 차량에서의 배기가스 후처리 기술에 대해 소개한다. CNG에 수소를 혼합함으로써, 엔진의 연소 효율은 올리고 배기가스를 감소시킬 수 있으나, CNG의 주성분인 메탄 역시 온실가스로서 이에 대한 저감도 필요한 실정이다. CNG엔진에서 배출되는 메탄에 대해 CNG산화촉매를 도입하여 저감 방향을 설정하였으며, 발생하는 NOx에 대해서는 urea-SCR 및HC(HydroCarbon)-SCR을 도입하였다.

디젤기관의 산화촉매에서 Pt 로딩량에 따른 배출가스 저감에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Experimental Study on Exhaust Gas Reduction by Pt Loading in Oxidation Catalyst of Diesel Engine)

  • Recently among after-treatment devices which have high possibility of utility diesel oxidation catalyst(DOC) is concerned over the world. DOC oxidizes pollutants by means of activate-reaction during by-passing in the catalyst in doing so conversion efficiency of PM, CO and HC is high and this device does not have an effect on engine performance because back pressure is not nearly increased, But as a small amount of sulfur content in fuel is oxidized it makes sulfate which is absorbed on the surface of catalyst. So in this study the experiment is carried out by means of using ordinary fuel(0.1wt%) and low sulfur fuel(0.05wt%) with DOC and the emission gas of diesel engine is measured.
