  • A simulation model has been developed to predict the performance of 5-valve gasoline engine by gas exchange process with combustion model. In this study, we simulated the intake flow characteristics and performance of 5-valve engine with entwine speed and we compared the 5-valve engine performance with that of 4-valve engine. As a result. the calculated value was in consistency with the measured value relatively. The performance of 5-valve engine was higher than that of 4-valve engine in high engine speed region.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the pattern of interactive learning in strategic networks. Interactive learning is defined as the exchange and sharing of knowledge resources conducive to innovation between an innovator firm, its suppliers, and/or its customers. The strength of internal knowledge resources can either hamper or facilitate levels of interactive learning. We assume that more complex innovative activities urge firms to co-ordinate and exchange information between users and producers, which implies a higher level of interactive learning. To test our theoretical claims, we estimated the level of interactive learning of firms in strategic networks with: (1) their customers, (2) their suppliers. Theses analyses allow a comparison of the antecedents of interactive learning of firms participating in strategic networks. Our findings suggest that interactive learning with customers is positively affected by company's capabilities and value-created activities, and with supplies is positively affected by value-created activities and technology innovation centers.

  • The separation and species of $MoO_4^{--}$ and $WO_4^{--}$ at the various PH value have been studied by the method of cation exchange chromatography. Elution curves of $MoO_4^{--}$ and $WO_4^{--}$ have been made with a 5 cm column of the resin, $Dowe{\times}50W{\times}12$(100-200 mesh), using solutions of various PH value as eluent. Complete separation of $MoO_4^{--}$ and $WO_4^{--}$ was obtained in each PH of 10% EtOH. According to the evaluation of peak position and number of peaks of elution curves, it is likely to exist cationic species of $MoO_4^{--}$.

  • The spectrum of values stretches from intrinsic value to practical value, consisting of exchange value and use value. Because of its own nature and perspective in assessing information, there are some problems of assessing its value. As a framework of assessing value of lnformation, Taylor developed the value-added model of information. Although the model has sl~ortcomings which do not apply measures and scales to mformation value, it can be a framework in assessing the value of mformation.

  • This study is to empirically analyze the relevance between ownership structure and corporate value. This Study took 285 corporations listed in Korea Stock Exchange from 1990 to 1994 as samples. The result of this analysis is summerized as follows: Insider-inquiry ratio of corporation in Korea has been positively corelated with corporate value while it has been negatively corelated if the ratio is over 25%. This study intended to present desirable implications for seperating the management from ownership in Korea.

  • The purpose of this research is to absorb and remove sulfur dioxide existing in the air by using ion exchange non-woven fabric. So we found out very appropriate condition of anionic exchange fabric scrubber by measuring amount of SO$_2$ adsorption under the atmosphere that concentration, velocity, and humidity was 100∼200 ppm, 0.6∼1.0 m/sec, and 30∼90 RH%, respectively. Ion exchange capacity of ion exchanger showed the maximum value, 3.75 meq/g at pH 4, and adsorption equilibrium time was the maximum value, 30 h when gas velocity was 0.6 m/sec, moreover, at 80$\^{C}$, adsorption equilibrium time tended to decrease more than 10 h. When concentration was 200 ppm, while reaction speed between SO$_2$ and ligand of fibrous ion exchanger was getting faster, adsorption break point had a tendency to get faster as well. In addition, when relative humidity in the scrubber was 90%, adsorption efficiency was 7.6%/h that seemed to be 30% higher than 4.6%/h coming from the condition that relative humidity had been 30%, and it was totally absorbed under 5 wt% NaOH solution in 5 minutes.

  • The application of extreme value theory to financial data is a fairly recent innovation. The classical annual maximum method is to fit the generalized extreme value distribution to the annual maxima of a data series. An alterative modern method, the so-called threshold method, is to fit the generalized Pareto distribution to the excesses over a high threshold from the data series. A more substantial variant is to take the point-process viewpoint of high-level exceedances. That is, the exceedance times and excess values of a high threshold are viewed as a two-dimensional point process whose limiting form is a non-homogeneous Poisson process. In this paper, we apply the two-dimensional non-homogeneous Poisson process model to daily losses, daily negative log-returns, in the data series of KBW/USD exchange rate, collected from January 4th, 1982 until December 31 st, 2008. The main question is how to estimate extreme quantiles of losses such as the 10-year or 50-year return level.

  • As the increment usage of Internet, the security systems's importance is emphasized. The current Internet Key Exchange protocol(IKE) which has been used for key exchange of security system, was pointed out a problem of efficiency and stability. In this research, we try to resolve those problems, and evaluate the newly designed Key Exchange protocol in the IPsec interaction test bed system environment. In this research we implemented the new Key Exchange Protocol as a recommendation of RFC proposal, so as to resolve the problem which was pointed out the key exchange complexity and the speed of authentication process. We also designed the defense mechanism against the Denial of Service attack. We improved the key exchange speed as a result of simplification of complex key exchange phase, and increased efficiency as a result of reuse the preexistence state value when it's renegotiated.

  • This study was designed to investigate the difference of time weighted average(TWA) of noise levels and noise doses by the different operating parameter settings such as exchange rate, threshold level and criterion level for noise dosimeter in the field measurements of noise at industrial working environments. The time weighted averages of noise level and noise doses for noise working environments were determined by noise dosimeter on 80 workers employed at 20 industrial establishments of 8 industries. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The mean time weighted average(TWA) of the noise working environments by the operating parameter settings showed 93.4 dB(A) in 3 dB of exchange rate, 80 dB of threshold level and 90dB of criterion level 92.0 dB(A) in 3 dB-exchange rate, 90 dB-threshold level and 90 dB-criterion level, in 90.8 dB(A) in 5 dB of exchange rate, 80 dB of threshold level and 90 dB of criterion level, and 86.7 dB(A) in 5 dB of exchange rate, 90 dB of threshold level and 90dB of criterion level. 2. ln group of noise level less than 90 dB(A), mean TWAs of 80 dB of threshold level were significantly higher than that of 90 dB of threshold level in 3 dB and 5 dB of exchange rate. 3. The case exceeded threshold limit value of noise was 49(61.3 %) in 3dB, 80dB and 90 dB setting, 44(55.0 %) in 3 dB, 90 dB, 90 dB setting, 33(41.3 %) in 5 dB, 80dB, 90 dB setting and 26(32.5%) in 5 dB, 90 dB, 90 dB setting. Above considerations in mind, it is suggested that exchange rate and threshold level be specified in related laws and regulations in the evaluation of working environments noise.
