A Heuristic Algorithm for the Vehicle Routing Problem (차량 경로 문제의 발견적 해법)

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a new heuristic algorithm for vehicle routing problem. The algorithm is composed of two steps. First step is to make a initial solution using sweeping algorithm. Second step is to improve initial solution for optimal solution using node exchange algorithm and tabu search algorithm. We have proven that our algorithm has produced better results than solutions obtained by saving algorithm and genetic in ten example problems with different unit size.

  • This paper proposed a linear time algorithm for a three-partition problem(TPP) in which a polynomial time algorithm is not known as NP-complete. This paper proposes a backtracking method that improves the problems of not being able to obtain a solution of the MM method using the sum of max-min values and third numbers, which are known polynomial algorithms in the past. In addition, the problem of MM applying the backtracking method was improved. The proposed algorithm partition the descending ordered set S into three and assigned to the forward, backward, and best-fit allocation method with maximum margin, and found an optimal solution for 50.00%, which is 5 out of 10 data in initial allocation phase. The remaining five data also showed performance to find the optimal solution by exchanging numbers between surplus boxes and shortage boxes at least once and up to seven times. The proposed algorithm that performs simple allocation and exchange optimization with less O(k) linear time performance complexity than the three-partition m=n/3 data, and it was shown that there could be a polynomial time algorithm in which TPP is a P-problem, not NP-complete.

  • This paper designs the ABC(Advanced Block Cipher) algorithm which is a 64byte block encryption algorithm, improves the performance of encryption process time, and makes an key exchange using EC-DH. The ABC algorithm reduces basic memory occupation rates using the original data position exchange method which is a data swap key without S-Box, IP-Box and etc. Also, it prepares the exposure of symmetric key using the unfixed encryption(decryption) key excepting the fixed encryption(decryption) key. Therefore, the proposed ABC algorithm in this paper is a proper encryption algorithm in lower memory environment and mobile banking.

  • A key exchange protocol using commutative subalge-bras of a full matrix algebra is considered. The security of the protocol depends on the difficulty of solving matrix equations XRY = T, with given matrices R and T. We give a polynomial time algorithm to solve XRY = T for the choice of certain types of subalgebras. We also compare the efficiency of the protocol with the Diffie-Hellman key exchange protocol on the key computation time and the key size.

  • As vehicles become more intelligent for safety and convenience of drivers, in-vehicle networking systems such as controller are network (CAN) have been widely used due to increasing number of electronic control unit (ECU). Recently, FlexRay was developed to replace CAN protocol in chassis networking systems, to remedy the shortage of transmission capacity and unsatisfactory real-time transmission delay of conventional CAN. However, it is difficult for vehicle network designers to calculate platform configuration registers (PCR) and determine a base cycle or slot length of FlexRay. To assist vehicle network designers for designing FlexRay cluster, this paper presents automatic field bus exchange format (FIBEX) generation algorithm from CANdb information, which is de-facto standard database format for CAN. To design this program, structures of FIBEX, CANdb and relationship among PCR variables are analyzed.

  • In this Paper, we develope an effective web-based learning contents using interactive genetic algorithms with modified mutation operation. In the interactive genetic algorithm, reciprocal exchange mutation is used. But. we modify the mutation operator to improve the learning effects. The new web-based learning contents using interactive genetic algorithm provide the dynamic learning contents providing and real-time test system. Especially, learners can execute the interactive genetic algorithm according to the learners' characters and interests to select the efficient learning environments and contents sequences.

  • This research deals with a task assignment problem to worker group which consists of one master and one assistant. Each task must be assigned to only one worker group and it is possible to make a pair of each master and each assistant to organize a worker group. A worker group may have more than one task assigned to it, but the workloads of each worker group must be balanced within the allowable range. This problem can be formulated mathematically using the Mixed Integer Programming(MIP), where the objective function is to minimize the total assignment cost. A two phase heuristic algorithm is suggested in order to find approximate solutions. The first phase is to obtain an initial solution, where the initial assignment is performed to follow the workload adjustment. In the second phase, the solution is improved through the repeated process of the exchange and the assignment adjustment. Numerical experiments have been performed to evaluate the performance of the heuristic algorithm.

  • Recently, many studies have been undergoing to reduce working time in field of machine tool. There are two ways of reducing working time to reduce actual working time by heighten spindle speed and to reduce stand-by time by shortening tool exchange time. Auto tool changer belongs to latter case. Fixed address type auto tool changer can store more number of tools in small space than magazine transfer Ope and can shorten tool exchange time. This study focuses on the topology optimization to reduce the weight of the fixed address type ATC. The optimization program using a real number coding genetic algorithm is developed and is applied to the 10-bar truss optimization problem to verify the developed program. And, it is shown that the developed program gives better results than other methods. Finally, The developed program applied to optimize the fixed address type ATC.

A Study on the Optimal Routing Technique for the Improvement of Voltage Stability in Radial Power System (방사상 전력계통의 전압안정도 향상을 위한 최적 라우팅 기법에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents a new algorithm for the enhancement of voltage stability by optimal routing (OR) technique. A new voltage stability index (VSI) for optimal routing is also proposed by using theories of critical transmission path based on voltage phasor approach and equivalent impedance method. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm automatically detect the critical transmission path to critical transmission path to critical load which are faced to voltage collapse due to additional real or reactive loading. We also adopt a improved branch exchange (IBE) algorithm based on a tie branch power (TBP) flow equation to apply the OR technique. The proposed IBE algorithm for the VSI maximizing can effectively search the optimal topological structures of distribution feeders by changing the open/closed states of the sectionalizing and tie switches. The proposed algorithm has been evaluated with the practical IEEE 32, 69 bus test systems and KEPCO 148 bus test system to show favorable performance.

  • This paper presents a new approach using an Improved branch exchange (IBE) technique to maximize the voltage stability as well as loss minimization in radial power systems. A suitable voltage stability index (VSI) for optimal routing algorithm is developed using novel methods both a critical transmission path based on a voltage phasor approach and an equivalent impedance method. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm can automatically detect the critical transmission path to be reached to a critical load faced with voltage collapse due to additional real or reactive leading. To develop an effective optimization technique, we also have applied a branch exchange algorithm based on a newly derived index of loss change. The proposed IBE algorithm for VSI maximization can effectively search the optimal topological structures of distribution feeders by changing the open/closed states of the sectionalizing and tie switches. The proposed algorithm has been tested with the various radial power systems to show its favorable performance.
