The purpose of this study was to find the adolescents' use and satisfaction toward outdoor space of middle and high schools with excellent facilities in Daejeon area. Six middle and high schools in Daejon area and 423 students, who were attending 'Excellent Facilities Schools', were selected. Questionnaire survey was conducted. Main results were as following: 1) The playground was found to be the most frequently visiting space, and bench and piloti were found to be the second most popular spaces among adolescents. The visiting frequency of outdoor space was higher for the ㅁ-shaped by type of inner court, for the $2^{nd}$ by floor of classroom, for high-schoolers by grade. 2) Respondents were satisfied more when the inner court is ㅁ-shaped than the others, when it is easy to access resulting from low floor classroom, when respondents visited the space frequently and stay longer, and when the outdoor facilities were in good conditions.

This study analyzed the type of the teaming space of 84 elementary schools which were prized as excellent schools on architectural planning and design in Japan from 1985 to 2005. As a result of the study, more types of learning space appeared at different elementary schools, and there was a tendency to plan as one unit space which include class room, multipurpose space, and others, on the planning of learning space. They intended to be uses for the teaming and living activity as a group of a school year.

기후변화에 따른 지구 생태계의 변화와 에너지 및 자원고갈 등 전 지구적 대응노력이 절실한 상황에서 정부에서는 탈원전 정책 등 적극적인 정책을 수립하여 시행하고 있다. 특히 공공건물 중 적지 않은 비중을 차지하고 있는 학교시설은 학생수가 감소하는 반면 학교수가 증가하고 있으며 에너지사용량 또한 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 학교시설의 설계현황을 분석하여 에너지절약설계의 개선방향을 제시하고자 하였다.

In general, It is known that there are important concepts related with organization space of the elementary school in Japan. They are correspondence to various educational method, consideration of children's activity, consideration about use of the local residents, application of the concepts of house design, and introduction of the ecological concept and technology. But there is little report written concretely how to plan and design for above mentioned concepts and it is realty necessary to investigate about these for the future image of elementary school in Korea. For this purpose, we investigated by analyzing the plan, and the design explanation of the 84 excellent public elementary schools awarded by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology from 1988 to 2005 in Japan. As a result, we have found many examples about various spaces, methods and ideas to plan a school that is specialized and fit for a local peculiarity and user(children and local residents). The diversity of educational method and ecological concepts correspond to direction of future's society.

본 연구는 우수시설학교와 일반시설학교의 이용 및 관리자 측면에서 공간 이용만족도에 대한 비교 분석을 통해, 향후 일반고의 설계 개선에 필요한 기초자료를 마련하고자 하였다. 이에 2010년 이후 신 증축 및 개축한 경기도 소재 고등학교 중 교육부 우수시설 학교 3곳과 일반시설 학교 3곳을 연구 대상지로 선정하여 현장조사와 문헌조사, 교원 설문조사의 방법을 실시하여 분석하였다. 회수된 설문지는 교육시설환경 만족도에 대한 신뢰도 분석, 교원의 인구사회학적 분석, 전체만족도와 시설 이용에 대한 회귀분석, 학교별 만족도 차이검증을 위해 t-test를 각각 실시하였다. 분석결과, 시설에 대한 전체만족도는 우수시설 고등학교에서 높게 나타났고 일반시설 고등학교에서 낮게 나타나 참고해야 할 사항으로 판단된다. 또한 학교시설 이용의 전체만족도를 향상시키기 위해서 차폐되고 은밀한 장소가 발생 되지 않는 순환로 및 산책로의 조성 및 지속적인 유지보수가 필요한 것으로 사료된다.

The function and the role of school are changing according to various future-oriented education models such as open-ended learning cycle, community learning center, re-schooling, network system and de-schooling, which reflect recent social demands related to discussions on sustainability, low birth rate and ageing. what changes to our school buildings have been there? This study is aimed that shows the architectural change of school buildings and environments in 2000's. It reveals the architectural tendancy through some school buildings, 'the excellent facility school award' winner which Ministry of Education, Science and Technology have chosen annually since 1998. In the past decade, it is outstanding change that mass composition, window patterns and exterior wall materials are diversified greatly. The most of them have a opened main hall and multi-purpose spaces which give effective educational environment to students. Although visual changes are outstanding, we still need qualitative educational space program and improved school building design according to future-educational demands.

The purpose of this study is to provide the fundamental data to improve a school building through comparing and analyzing facilities of high schools located in Gyeonggi - do Province on the basis of the Design Indicator for the Korean Educational Buildings. Two types of high schools were examined for this study. Some of them are high schools selected by Korean Ministry of Education as a school equipped with superior facilities and the others are high schools equipped with general facilities. 8 items such as safety, comfort, the function of education, utilization, the public, eco-friendliness, technology performance, economical efficiency were examined by 5 point Likert scale. Findings showed that all facilities of both types of high schools received high ratings in terms of safety, utilization, and technology performance. However, the evaluation index on 'various used outdoor space' and 'public buildings harmonized with surroundings' of the education function of both types of high schools was low, which implies that the facility related to the education function needs to be improved. It infers that facilities are simplified and harmony with surroundings disappears when altering the design of the school building due to the convenience of building and the problem of the budget. Therefore, these need to be primarily controlled. Additionally, in high schools with general facilities, the evaluation index on 'aesthetic interior and exterior design of comfort', 'the responsive space to the demand for teaching and learning of the function of education', and eco-friendless were so low that these factors need to be considered when designing the school building.
