Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the prevalence and risk factors of colon polyps. Methods: The subjects were 180 adults enrolled from examinees who underwent colonoscopy at the health promotion center and OPD in Ulsan University Hospital. The risk factors were collected by a self-reporting standardized questionnaire and medical records. Data analysis involved chi-square test, and multiple logistic regression. Results: The prevalence of colon polyps was 41.6%. The risk factors for colon polyps were significantly increased by the cases of subjects more than 50 years old (OR, 9.213; CI, 3.291-25.789), subjects who didn't have any regular high-intensity exercise (OR, 4.762; CI, 1.387-16.351), subjects whose intake of fruits was less than once per a week (OR, 5.938; CI, 1.069-32.985) and subjects who showed irregular defecation (OR, 3.066; CI, 1.178-7.980). Conclusion: This study suggests that eating habits and proper exercise, which promote a normal habit of defecation so as to be helpful in preventing colon polyps.

This paper proposes a novel intelligent wheelchair vehicle system that enables upper limb exercises, lower limb standing exercises and rehabilitation training in a daily life. The proposed system, which can be used to prevent at least the degeneration of body movements and further atrophy of musculoskeletal system functions, considers the characteristics and mobility of the old and the disabled. Its main purpose is to help the old and the disabled perform their daily activities as much as they can, minimizing the extent of secondary disabilities. In other words, the system will provide the old and the disabled with regular and quantitative rehabilitation exercises and diagnosis using the wheelchair-based upper/lower limb rehabilitation vehicle system and then verify their effectiveness. The system comprises an electric wheelchair, a biometric module to identify individual characteristics, and an upper/lower limb rehabilitation vehicle. In this paper the design and configuration of the developed vehicle is described, and its operation method is presented. Moreover, to verify the tracking performance of the proposed system, dangerous situations according to biosignal changes occurring during the rehabilitation exercise of a non-disabled examinee are analyzed and the performance of the upper/lower limb rehabilitation exercise function depending on muscle strength is evaluated through a neural network algorithm.

In this study, the current status and the desirable ways for improvement of the examination system for the employment of the environmental education teachers in the secondary school were investigated. For the study, first, problems and reasons, and the counterplan of policy on the teacher connected directly with the examination employing secondary school teachers through exploration of the related literatures were analyzed; second, it was identified that the essential quality which environmental education teachers should have ready; third, the curriculum of environmental education teacher training universities and the seventh environmental curriculum were examined to provide a basis of discussion on the principle of setting questions for the employment of environmental education teachers; fourth, the number of recruitment, the number of examinee, the principle of setting questions, the composition of questions, and the distribution of scores of the examination which were carried out in the school year 2000 and 2001 were compared and analyzed; finally, the basis of the above analyses, recommendations to consider the examination system for the employment of environmental education teachers in the secondary school were presented as follows: first, the team managing the examination for the employment should reflect the aims and special contents of environmental education to discuss and decide the principle of setting questions on the environmental course; second, the proportion of subject matter education in the examination for environmental education teachers should be increased; third, the validity of questions for the examination should be clarified and the difficulty level of the questions should be low.

Purpose: OSCE, Objective Structured Clinical Examination, is a good way to evaluate clinical skills of nursing students. To do this, we need modules, evaluators, persons to run the examination, as well as models and standardized patients if necessary. Author coached nursing students to develop modules and ran the examination by themselves. Method: 24 third-year and 4 first-year students volunteered; third-year students developed 5 modules, and organized and ran the examination. First-year students played patient role. 60 2nd-year students participated as examinees. Modules were duplicated to finish examination in a given time. The relationship between OSCE score, conventional clinical evaluation score and credit of students was compared. Effect of module duplication on score was tested. And responses of examinees were collected. Results: There was no correlation between OSCE and conventional clinical evaluation score (r=0.07), and credit (r=0.27), And there was no difference of OSCE score between duplicated modules $(53.77{\pm}7.61$ vs $55.33\pm7.74).$ Response of examinees to OSCE was favorable. Examinee did not expressed resistance for the evaluation by OSCE developed and ran by students. Conclusion: Nursing students successfully developed and ran OSCE, which was accepted favorably by examinees. Student-developed OSCE may play a role in evaluation of clinical performance.

The purpose of this study was investigated optimal exposure condition in digital magnification mammography to decrease radiation dose and increase image quality of the examinee. Auto mode, the average glandular dose is higher than the manual mode. Average glandular dose and image quality were many differences on between grid and air gap technique in auto mode. However, Average glandular dose and signal-to-noise ratio were not different on between grid and air gap technique in manual mode. The signal-to-noise ratio was increased when using the air-gap technique in both mode. According to result, air gap technique may reduce average glandular dose and increase signal-to-noise ratio in digital magnification mammography.

Teaching and learning between instructor and students and testing for evaluation are progressed remotely in distance education. Current research trends are focused primarily on the distance learning services. Testing to estimate the effectiveness of training is important as lecturing, but it has not been studied much until now. In this paper, we suggest DEIS(Distance Education Invigilation System) for a fair examination. DEIS identify examinees by verifying their real name with I-PIN and comparing the still image of the candidates the software stored on the server and the photos that are registered at the enrollment.

Recently, because of decreasing in population, most of local universities are competing to attract new students in the entrance examination. These situations cause that most of the examinee apply for several universities to matriculate in a university. So these problem may raise a serious trouble such as additional new students invited. Therefore, in this study, we consider a few statistical models by using data mining technique to understand the pattern of new students who discard registration(seceders) in spite of success in the D university entrance examination. To construct these models, we use entrance examination data of three years. On the basis for analysis results of entrance examination data, we look into the features for secession of new students who success in an university entrance examination. We provide a basic information to make a effective entrance plan for seceders in future. Also, we make a search for the trend based on three years by analyzing entrance examination data of 2006, 2007 and 2008 years.

Recently SNS product reviews are excessively increasing. However, many SNS reviews are under feeble regulation than how big and powerful that their awarenesses are. This problem leads to consumers' discontentment on product reviews on online. This study aims to analyze how SNS product reviews characteristics: informativeness, entertainment, reliability and familiarity attribute on consumers' purchase intent and brand attitude. However, at this time, consumers' high discontents (stored-knowledge) expect to have negative affect on product reviews thus I put this as a regulation effect. This study is consisted of 240 examinee who check SNS product reviews before buying products.

The demand of the real-time data was promoted by significant development of network and IT technology. In particular, the entry of an aging society and income growth increase the demand for personal health related data which attempt to provide various and evolutional healthcare services by several healthcare institutions. Especially the presentation of the medical examination result is the most basic healthcare services which should be expressed to maximize understanding in personal health records for their own health. However according to absence of systematic visualization framework and visualization model, intuitive understanding of healthcare related data is difficult. Cosequently In this study, customized visualization representation based on the results of medical examination was provided to aviod consistent format for health examinee and establish a variety of data representations.

Various evaluation systems using simulators have been adopted widely for the purpose of training and examination, including marine engineering education area. This paper suggests a PC based evaluation scoring system for simulators where the operation ability of machineries and background knowledges of trainees or examinees are able to be assessed relatively. The scores are based on the 100 point resulted from their responses for a given evaluation scenario under a PID tuning simulation. The mistakes they make during the operation time are integrated firstly to get error sum, and the error sum is transformed secondly to 100 point score according to a formula where the knowledge level of examinee's groups can be compensated and considered reasonably. The implementation result of evaluation system for the given control loop is described and analyzed to show the effectiveness of the suggested configuration as an evaluation tool.
