콘크리트 포장 양생제의 적정살포량 결정 연구 (Determination of Proper Application Rate of Curing Compound for Cement Concrete Pavement)

  • 시멘트 콘크리트 포장은 시공초기의 품질관리가 포장의 장기공용성에 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 시공초기에 발생되는 문제점을 최소화하기 위한 다양한 연구가 국내외에서 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 일반적으로 시멘트 콘크리트의 품질관리에서 양생은 중요한 사항이며, 포장용 시멘트 콘크리트에서도 양생시에 양생제를 사용하여 슬래브 표면에 불투수 막을 형성하여 수분증발을 방지하는 피막양생 (membrane curing)을 많이 사용하고 있다. 양생제의 역할은 콘크리트 표면의 수분증발억제에 있다. 국내에서 사용되고 있는 양생제는 시공품질관리 측면에서 살포량이 적정한지에 대한의문이 계속 제기되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 시멘트 콘크리트 포장 시공시 살포되는 양생제의 양을 조정하여 다양한 살포량에 따른 증발량 관측을 통해 양생제 살포량과 수분증발량 변화와의 상관관계를 제시하였다. 이를 위해 2002년과 2003년 여름철에 고속도로 시공현장에서 4회에 걸쳐 다양한 양생제 살포량$(0에 따른 증발량 콘크리트 포장의 온도변화, 콘크리트 표면의 강도발현속도(초음파 전달속도) 등을 측정하였다. 본 연구에서 얻은 결론은 현재 국내 시공현장에서의 양생제 살포량은 약 $160ml/m^2$으로 나타났고, 수분증발은 억제하고 적정한 보습효과를 얻기 위한 최적 양생제 살포량은 약 $400ml/m^2$인 것으로 분석되었다. 강도발현속도 시험결과 양생제의 살포량의 변화가 장기강도에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 판단되었다.

PET, Tencel, Cotton MVS 혼방사로 제직된 침구용 직물의 성능평가 (Bedding Fabric Performance Using Polyester, Tencel and Cotton MVS Blended Spun Yarns)

  • This study evaluated the performance of bedding fabrics consisting of warp (150d/144f, polyester) and weft (polyester, Tencel and cotton MVS blended spun yarn) with blend ratio of weft. We measured electrostatic propensity, moisture properties, pilling properties and mechanical properties of the fabrics for this study. F-P fabric showed outstanding moisture properties and pilling properties. However, tensile properties and electrostatic propensity were relatively inferior to other characteristic values. Significant static electricity may make F-P fabric uncomfortable. F-P7C3 fabric showed outstanding moisture properties and pilling properties. Static electricity may make F-P7C3 fabric uncomfortable; in addition, F-P5C5 fabric showed outstanding moisture properties and pilling properties. Rough and stiff hand feel were expected to increase because tensile properties decreased and surface properties increased. F-C fabric showed outstanding pilling properties and electrostatic propensity. However, it showed inferior moisture control properties. F-P5T4C1 fabric showed outstanding moisture properties, pilling properties and electrostatic propensity. Several properties are outstanding; however, the hand feels are very rough and stiff from bending. The water evaporation and static electricity increased with increasing polyester content. As the content of cotton increased, tensile properties were improved. However, water evaporation and static electricity decreased. The addition of Tencel increased the thickness and compression energy so that it exhibited a soft characteristic upon compression and an excellent moisture control properties, but the surface became somewhat coarse.

내부 열교환기를 이용한 R744용 초임계 냉동사이클의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of R744 (Carbon Dioxide) Transcritical Refrigeration System Using Internal Heat Exchanger)

  • This paper considers the influence of internal heat exchangers to the efficiency of a refrigerating system. These internal heat exchangers(liquid-suction or suction-line heat exchangers) can, in some cases, yield improved system performance while in other cases they degrade system performance. A steady state mathematical model is used to analysis the performance characteristics of refrigeration system with internal heat exchanger. The influence of operating conditions, such as gas cooler pressure and evaporation temperatures, superheat in the evaporator and temperature of gas cooler outlet, to optimal dimensions of the heat exchanger is also analyzed in the paper. The main results were summarized as follows : the mass flowrate of R744, inner diameter tube and length of internal heat exchanger, and effectiveness have an effect on the cooling capacity, compressor work and RCI(Relative capacity index) of this system. With a thorough grasp of these effect, it is necessary to design the R744 compression refrigeration cycle using internal heat exchanger.

  • The engine performance and combustion characteristics of methanol blended fuel of spark ignition engine were discussed on the basics of experimental investigation. The effects of methanol blending fuel on combustion in cylinder were investigated under various conditions of engine cycle and blending fuel on combustion in cylinder were investigated tinder various conditions of engine cycle and blending ratios. The results showed thai the engine performance was influenced by the methanol blending ratio and the variations of operating conditions test engine. The increase of fuel temperature brought on the improvement of combustion characteristics such as cylinder pressure. the rate of pressure rise and heat release in an engine. The burning rate of fuel-air mixture, the exhaust emissions and the other characteristics of performance were discussed also.

Influence of Deposition Method on Refractive Index of SiO2 and TiO2 Thin Films for Anti-reflective Multilayers

  • Anti-Reflective (AR) thin film coatings of $SiO_2$ (n= 1.48) and $TiO_2$ (n=2.17) were deposited by ion-beam assisted deposition (IBAD) with End-Hall ion source and conventional electron beam (e-beam) evaporation to investigate the effect of deposition method on the refractive indicies (n) of the fIlms. Green-light generation using a GaAs laser diode was achieved via excitation of the second harmonic. The latter resulted from the transmission of the fundamental guided-mode wave of 1064 nm through periodically poled $LiNbO_3$. Large differences in the refractive indicies of each of the layers in the multilayer coating may improve AR performance. IBAD of $SiO_2$ reduced its refractive index from 1.45 to 1.34 at 1064 nm. Conversely, e-beam evaporation of $TiO_2$ increased its refractive index from 1.80 to 2.11. In addition, no fluctuations in absorption at the wavelength of 1064 nm were found. The results suggest that films prepared by different deposition methods can increase the effectiveness of multilayer AR coatings.

R744-R404A용 캐스케이드 냉동시스템의 엑서지 분석 (Exergy Analysis of R744-R404A Cascade Refrigeration System)

  • 본 논문은 내부 열교환기를 가지는 R744와 R404A용 캐스케이드 냉동시스템의 운전변수에 대한 최적의 설계를 위해서 냉동장치의 성능과 엑서지를 이론적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 고려된 작동변수로는 과열도와 과냉각도, 내부 열교환기와 압축기 효율, 증발 및 응축온도 등이다. 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 캐스케이드 증발온도가 증가할수록 R404A용 고온사이클의 COP는 증가하는 반면에, R744용 저온사이클의 COP는 감소한다. 따라서 이러한 이유로 전체 캐스케이드 냉동사이클의 COP는 거의 일정하다. 또한 캐스케이드 증발온도가 증가할수록 R404A용 응축기와 압축기의 엑서지 손실이 가장 큰 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 R744와 R404A용 캐스케이드 냉동시스템의 COP 향상을 위해서는 R404용 응축기와 압축이의 엑서지 손실을 줄여야만 한다.

500 N급 과산화수소/케로신 로켓엔진의 추진제 액적 분무와 증발을 고려한 연소 수치해석 (Numerical Simulations on Combustion Considering Propellant Droplet Atomization and Evaporation of 500 N Class Hydrogen Peroxide / Kerosene Rocket Engine)

  • 96% 과산화수소와 케로신을 추진제로 사용하는 500 N 급 로켓엔진에 대하여 추진제의 분무, 기화, 혼합, 연소를 포함하는 수치해석을 수행하였다. 1/6 조각의 연소실을 격자로 생성하였으며, 세 가지 종류의 액체상 추진제(케로신, 과산화수소, 물)가 속이 빈 콘 형태로 공급되는 분무를 모사하였고, Rosin-Rammler 함수에 따른 액적크기 분포를 가정하였으며, 연소 해석에는 와류소산모델을 사용하였다. 본 계산에서는 작은 연소실 크기, 그리고 과산화수소 및 물의 큰 잠열 및 비열로 인하여 평균 액적 크기 변화에 따라 큰 성능의 차이를 나타냈으며, 평균 액적 크기가 30 micron인 경우 가장 좋은 추진성능을 보여주었다.

Direct Transfer Printing of Nanomaterials for Future Flexible Electronics

  • Over the past decade, the major efforts for lowering the cost of electronics has been devoted to increasing the packaging efficiency of the integrated circuits (ICs), which is defined by the ratio of all devices on system-level board compared to the area of the board, and to working on a larger but cheaper substrates. Especially, in flexible electronics, the latter has been the favorable way along with using novel nanomaterials that have excellent mechanical flexibility and electrical properties as active channel materials and conductive films. Here, the tool for achieving large area patterning is by printing methods. Although diverse printing methods have been investigated to produce highly-aligned structures of the nanomaterials with desired patterns, many require laborious processes that need to be further optimized for practical applications, showing a clear limit to the design of the nanomaterial patterns in a large scale assembly. Here, we demonstrate the alignment of highly ordered and dense silicon (Si) NW arrays to anisotropically etched micro-engraved structures using a simple evaporation process. During evaporation, entropic attraction combined with the internal flow of the NW solution induced the alignment of NWs at the corners of pre-defined structures. The assembly characteristics of the NWs were highly dependent on the polarity of the NW solutions. After complete evaporation, the aligned NW arrays were subsequently transferred onto a flexible substrate with 95% selectivity using a direct gravure printing technique. As proof-of-concept, flexible back-gated NW field effect transistors (FETs) were fabricated. The fabricated FETs had an effective hole mobility of 0.17 $cm2/V{\cdot}s$ and an on/off ratio of ${\sim}1.4{\times}104$. These results demonstrate that our NW gravure printing technique is a simple and effective method that can be used to fabricate high-performance flexible electronics based on inorganic materials.

대형 디젤엔진용 SCR 시스템의 암모니아 슬립 억제를 위한 인젝터의 형상 및 위치에 관한 수치적 연구 (Numerical Study on the Injector Shape and Location of Urea-SCR System of Heavy-duty Diesel Engine for Preventing $NH_3$ Slip)

  • In the past few years, considerable efforts have been directed towards the further development of Urea-SCR(selective catalytic reduction) technique for diesel-driven vehicle. Although urea possesses considerable advantages over Ammonia$(NH_3)$ in terms of toxicity and handling, its necessary decomposition into Ammonia and carbon dioxide complicates the DeNOx process. Moreover, a mobile SCR system has only a short distance between engine exhaust and the catalyst entrance. Hence, this leads to not enough residence times of urea, and therefore evaporation and thermolysis cannot be completed at the catalyst entrance. This may cause high secondary emissions of Ammonia and isocyanic acid from the reducing agent and also leads to the fact that a considerable section of the catalyst may be misused for the purely thermal steps of water evaporation and thermolysis of urea. Hence the key factor to implementation of SCR technology on automobile is fast thermolysis, good mixing of Ammonia and gas, and reducing Ammonia slip. In this context, this study performs three-dimensional numerical simulation of urea injection of heavy-duty diesel engine under various injection pressure, injector locations and number of injector hole. This study employs Eulerian-Lagrangian approach to consider break-up, evaporation and heat and mass-transfer between droplet and exhaust gas with considering thermolysis and the turbulence dispersion effect of droplet. The SCR-monolith brick has been treated as porous medium. The effect of location and number of hole of urea injector on the uniformity of Ammonia concentration distribution and the amount of water at the entrance of SCR-monolith has been examined in detail under various injection pressures. The present results show useful guidelines for the optimum design of urea injector for reducing Ammonia slip and improving DeNOx performance.

나트륨 염이 첨가된 미분무수의 액체 pool fire소화특성 (Extinguishing Characteristics of Liquid Pool Eire by Water Mist Containing Sodium Salt)

  • 본 논문에서는 금속염 첨가제를 함유한 미분무수의 소화성능을 연구하고자 아세트산 나트륨을 함유한 단일 액적의 증발속도를 측정하였으며, small-scale 챔버내에서의 헵탄 pool fire에 대한 소화실험을 실시하여, 화염의 온도를 분석함으로써 첨가제에 의한 미분무수 소화특성을 분석하였다. 순수물과 수용액의 증발특성을 비교한 결과 핵비등 영역에서 온도가 높을수록 용해된 첨가제의 석출 및 표면장력의 변화 등 물리적 영향으로 순수물에 비해 수용액의 증발속도가 현저히 느리게 나타났다. 소화실험 결과, 저압에서는 물 액적이 화염의 플림을 뚫지 못하기 때문에 소화는 이루어지지 않았고 단순히 화염의 크기를 작아지게 하였다. 중압에서는 첨가제를 넣었을 경우 액적의 운동량 증가에 따른 물리적 소화효과와 첨가제의 화학적 소화효과가 상승작용을 하여 화염을 억제하였고, 고압에서는 미분무수 시스템의 주요 소화 메커니즘 이외에도 blowing효과에 의해서 화염이 소화되는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다.
