Performance Evaluation and Prediction on a Clustered SMP System for Aerospace CED Applications with Hybrid Paradigm

  • Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency has introduced a new terascale clusterd SMP system as a main compute engine of Numerical Simulator III for aerospace science and engineering research purposes. The system is using Fujitsu PRIMEPOWER HPC2500; it has computing capability of 9.3Tflop/s peak performance and 3.6TB of user memory, with about 1,800 scalar processors for computation. In this paper, we first present the performance evaluation results for aerospace CFD applications with hybrid programming paradigm used at JAXA. Next we propose a performance prediction formula for hybrid codes based on a simple extension of AMhhal's law, and discuss about the predicted and measured performances for some typical hybrid CFD codes.

  • The existing data systems and structures scope primarily the data evaluation which is performed by only corresponding or Interesting bodies. And the bodies i.e. electricity and energy utilities' quarters don't exchange the data each other because methods, purposes, etc. of the collection are different. This paper presents a new integrated system of data collection, administration and evaluation on the power system. And the system is applied to PSS/E data structures.

브레이징 접합부의 강도평가 및 고장분석 (An Analysis for Failure Mechanisms and Strength Evaluation on Brazed Joint)

  • The present paper is aiming at the evaluation for failure mechanisms and static strength of brazed joints used in household electronics. For these purposes, the failure analysis was performed on the various brazed joints, through the bursting, the micro-Victors hardness tests and 3-dimensional X-ray technique. The failure modes of brazed joints were classified into two different types, based on the results of bursting pressure test by means of self-designed internal-pressure testing machine. Their failure mechanism was dependent on the relationship between heat effect occurred in manufacturing process and internal flaws such as incomplete penetration and pin hole. Also, a finite element analysis was performed to evaluate the stress distribution with respect to the heat and the internal flaws.

  • Various HILS systems for developing and testing vehicle mechatronic systems have been proposed and constructed during the last few years. However, performance of those systems have not been evaluated in a systematic way. Based on the transfer function approach, this paper presents a method far evaluating performance such as stable dynamic simulation range of a proposed steering HILS system. In the evaluation, we have investigated effects of time delays that exist in the real-time dynamic simulation, additional actuators, and data transmission on the stable dynamic simulation range, simulation frequency range, and steering feel. This evaluation methodology may be useful to help engineers develop a HILS system for their own purposes.

  • 제4차산업혁명의 핵심기술 중의 하나로 인식되고 있는 블록체인은 인터넷을 기반으로 중앙집중적인 제어가 없이도 작동되는 자율적인 분산 정보관리시스템이다. 블록체인은 정보의 무결성, 신뢰성 등을 특징으로 하며, 이러한 특징을 필요로 하는 곳에는 블록체인을 활용할 수 있다. 대표적인 응용으로는 금융, 거래, 평가관리 등을 들 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 블록체인을 기반으로 사용자들이 자유롭게 평가개체(instance)를 생성하고 관리할 수 있는 평가관리시스템을 설계하였다. 평가관리자는 자신의 목적에 맞게 평가개체를 하나 생성하고, 평가항목과 평가자들을 배정할 수 있다. 평가자들이 평가항목에 대해서 평가를 마치면 평가관리자는 해당 평가개체에 대해서 평가 결과를 집계를 할 수 있다. 여러 용도로 평가를 시행하고 싶지만 평가시스템을 갖추지 못한 경우에 본 시스템을 이용하면 이를 비교적 간단히 평가시스템을 구현할 수 있다. 또한 블록체인의 특성으로 인하여 평가자들은 자신이 이미 기록한 평가 값을 수정하지 못하며, 시스템 관리자 또는 평가 관리자 역시 평가 값을 수정하지 못한다. 이런 이유로 평가의 신뢰성은 높아진다고 볼 수 있다.

지속가능성을 고려한 도시부 도로의 서비스수준 통합 평가 연구 (Integrated Evaluation of Level of Service for Urban Streets Considering Sustainability)

  • PURPOSES : This paper aims to improve the evaluation method of the Level of Service(LOS) for urban streets presented by the current Korean Highway Capacity Manual(KHCM) and suggest its utilization plan as a part of the methods to evaluate the sustainability of a transportation policy. METHODS : This paper carried out a research in 3 steps to develop a new evaluation method. First of all, this paper reviewed the previous studies related to the LOS of urban streets and the socially requested items for a sustainable transportation system. Then this paper derived an index and weight through expert questions to select an evaluation index. Lastly, this paper compared the results according to the existing evaluation methods with the new evaluation methods through case studies. This paper used an Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) for importance analysis and weight selection between new evaluation items and indices, and applied a Grey System Theory(GST) for a synthetic and integrated evaluation between the selected evaluation indices. RESULTS : As a result of evaluating the LOS according to the existing evaluation methods and the integrated evaluation methods using a GST through case studies, it was analyzed that new methods' results are less than or equal to the existing evaluation methods; and as a result of applying a weight between evaluation indices according to AHP, it was noticed that the total score seems to rise more when the LOS in the existing evaluation is calculated lower. It was analyzed that the LOS calculated by reflecting the newly established evaluation items and the importance between indices in this study has difference from the LOS of the existing urban streets. CONCLUSIONS : It is expected that this evaluation method can diagnose the current conditions when establishing a future sustainable traffic system and can be used for the measurement of the sustainability effects of the improvement plans and so on.

노인요양시설 서비스 질 평가 도구 개발 (Development of an Evaluation Instrument for Service Quality in Nursing Homes)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to identify the factors influencing service quality in nursing homes, and to develop an evaluation instrument for service quality. Methods: A three-phase process was employed for the study. 1) The important factors to evaluate the service quality in nursing homes were identified through a literature review, panel discussion and focus group interview, 2) the evaluation instrument was developed, and 3) validity and reliability of the study instrument were tested by factor analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ and Cohen's Kappa. Results: Factor analysis showed that the factors influencing service quality in nursing homes were healthcare, diet/assistance, therapy, environment and staff. To improve objectivity of the instrument, quantitative as well as qualitative evaluation approaches were adopted. The study instrument was developed with 30 items and showed acceptable construct validity. The criterion-related validity was a Pearson correlation coefficient of .85 in 151 care facilities. The internal consistency was Cronbach's ${\alpha}$=.95. Conclusion: The instrument has acceptable validity and a high degree of reliability. Staff in nursing homes can continuously improve and manage their services using the results of the evaluation instrument.

도로 노면 안전성 분석을 위한 물고임 측정장비 개발 및 현장 적용성 연구 (Comprehensive Evaluation of Water-Reservoir Measuring Equipment for Highway Safety Analysis)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is development of automatic equipment to measure the road water-reservoir which can be one of factors for road traffic safety inspection and its application to safety analysis. METHODS : The scopes of this study are the examination of the riskiness and location of road water-reservoir through literature review, development of appropriate sensor and automatic equipment to survey the road water-reservoir and evaluation of field application. RESULTS: The laser lighting and IR camera were selected to develop the equipment. It was found from the field calibration that there is a high correlation between rutting and road water-reservoir and road water-reservoir caused by rutting can be correctly calculated. About 20.2km of national highway were inspected for case study and field application. It was found from correlation of traffic incident that 2.08km of the latent length for water-reservoir which is related to 12 traffic incidents were analyzed. CONCLUSIONS : This technique can be utilized evaluation method for road condition such as road water-reservoir for conventional evaluation system such as road traffic safety assessment and safety analysis and it can be use to new evaluation system to apply various road condition and traffic condition.

  • 국내에서는 정보보호 수준평가를 위해 정보보호 관리체계 인증제도와 정보보안 관리수준평가를 운영하고 있다. 하지만 정보보호 관리체계 인증제도와 정보보안 관리수준평가는 기존의 평가인증제도, 정보통신기반보호제도, 정보보호 안전진단제도 등과의 유기적인 연결성이 부족하여 중복 진단, 비효율적인 진단 방법 등의 문제점이 있다. 또한 기존 제도들은 주로 주요정보통신기반시설의 보호에 초점을 맞추고 있어 공공기관의 수준평가에는 적합하지 않다. 본 논문은 공공기관의 정보보호 목표를 효과적으로 달성하기 위해서 기존의 다양한 정보보호제도를 분석하여 새로운 모델을 제안한다.

스마트 의류의 지각된 위험과 제품혁신성 평가에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Perceived Risk and Product Innovativeness Evaluation of Smart Clothing)

  • The purposes of this study were to explore the perceived risk of smart clothing, to classify consumers by risk perception of smart clothing, and to investigate the differences among the segmented groups in regard to the evaluation of newness and innovativeness of smart clothing. In addition, the relationship among perceived risk, evaluation of newness and innovativeness of smart clothing were examined. A questionnaire was administered to 338 male and female subjects aged from 17 to 50. Analysis was performed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation analysis. The results showed that the perceived risk of smart clothing was composed of 4 factors: economic risk, social risk, functional risk and physical risk. Consumers were classified into four groups: high risk perception group, low economic risk perception group, low functional risk perception group, and low social risk perception group. ANOVA showed that there were significant differences among four groups regard to the evaluation of newness and innovativeness of smart clothing. High risk perception group most highly evaluated the newness and innovativeness of smart clothing. There were positive correlation among the perceived risks, the evaluation of the newness and innovativeness of smart clothing.
