This study considered the developing course on evaluation indicators of military library which published in 2007, and applied them to 84 military libraries in 2008. By analyzing the results from applying, this study also tried to find more effective evaluation indicators which are available properly. Through the output analysis of documental evaluation and actual inspection, which performed by ten organizations, on military library, revised and completed 28 indexes of 8 classes-plan, finance, service, collection management etc. and some of their evaluation scales. For accurate, objective evaluation, it is suggested that the navy and the air force libraries which have different military traits have needs for grouping separately from the army libraries, and also proposed to make standard of research on the actual condition for military libraries that can be used in each military line.

In a rapidly changing environment, public libraries need performance measures that can comprehensively represent their activities in order to respond to various changes, demonstrate social value, and justify input resources. However, most of the performance evaluations have been focused on specific areas or specific analysis methods. Therefore, this study looked at the efforts of advanced countries of overseas libraries to develop performance evaluation tools for public libraries in order to develop performance management tools for domestic public libraries. The implications were derived by reviewing and analyzing the direction, evaluation system, and major performance evaluation areas of public library performance evaluation. The main result was that the perspective of public library performance evaluation was shifting from input-output-oriented to outcome or impact, and the performance evaluation area was linked to the development strategy of public libraries or the role of the library. And, the government and institutions were working together to establish an evaluation system for performance management of public libraries.

This study regards the evaluation for the main contents of the 'Library Development Plan(2003-2011)' promoted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the library development plan in Korea. SMART evaluation method was introduced for the evaluation of vision, objective, core project of library development plan. Following result was acquired as a result of the study. First. as a result of SMART vision, objective, core projects and main business of library development plan was presented to be 3.05, 3.09, 3.15 and 3.12 respectively. Thus, in the evaluation for components of development Plan, it was excellent in core projects. Second, as a result of SMART, concreteness, measurability, achievability, relevance and time frame of library development plan was presented to be 3.09. 2.99. 3.12. 3.24 and 3.10 respectively. Thus, in the evaluation components of development plan. it was excellent in relevance but it has been found that supplementary measures should be taken on measurability. Third, 'culture-oriented room with knowledge and information' was found to be superior to the 'information library with up-to-date technology' in evaluation of the objective. Fourth, 'substantiality in user service with the supplement of library contents' was excellent in evaluation of core projects but there is some problem with 'activation of library function through training and supplement of professional manpower.' Fifth. 'Enhancement in library information service' was presented to be excellent in evaluation of main business but there was problem in 'reinforcement in function of library for each location and type,' 'partnership of public-private enterprises' and 'promotion for book culture of the public' thus it need to be revised and supplemented hereafter.

As awareness of social and environmental issues increases due to the gust of ESG management, interest in ESG management is increasing, and the influence of ESG evaluation is getting stronger, and libraries need to participate in ESG management evaluation. In order to apply ESG management to libraries, library ESG evaluation indicators must be developed. Therefore, this study attempted to comprehensively examine ESG management evaluation indicators of public institutions, including companies, and propose ESG management evaluation indicators applicable to libraries. To this end, it went through the process of investigating and analyzing ESG-related prior research, deriving preliminary evaluation indicators for libraries, collecting expert FGI opinions, developing primary library ESG evaluation indicators based on expert FGI opinions, and) examining the suitability of primary library ESG evaluation indicators. Finally, a total of 25 items were selected in the environmental area, a total of 56 items in the social area, and a total of 32 items in the governance area. In future studies, it is necessary to conduct ESG management evaluation for libraries based on this indicator.

The present study develops an evaluation indicator for cultural value of library. First, a preliminary evaluation indicator was developed based on analysis of both domestic and foreign studies on the value of library. The preliminary evaluation indicator was used for three rounds of Delphi survey conducted by 10 experts for development of the final evaluation indicator. The final evaluation indicator consists of four evaluation areas community cultural development, succession - and promotion of cultural heritage, contribution to local residents' enjoyment of culture, and establishment of community culture and 10 evaluation items, and 50 specific evaluation indicators.

This study aimed to determine eco-friendly factors on the aspects of library service, materials provided or handled by the library, and programs including educational programs. Furthermore, it was setup to perform a trial evaluation for the eco-friendliness of the library based on the determined evaluation standards by this study. Results are as follows; First, regarding the question of 'Do employees of the library think that establishment of green libraries is necessary?', the employees of the libraries responded yes by 65.52%, but only 4.6% responded that it would not be necessary. Second, in analyzing the most important evaluation areas of green libraries according to the opinions of the libraries' employees, they were ranked in order: the indoor environment, energy and prevention of environmental pollution, and material and resource areas. Third, 11 areas were determined to evaluate the level of greening in the libraries; the highest averages were scored 510 for the area of energy and prevention of environmental pollution, 415 for the area of library resource, and 320 for the area of indoor environment. Last, the libraries were graded based on actual data according to the results to measure the level of greening, two libraries were graded as Diamond, the highest grade, accounting for 15.39% of all libraries; Gold and Silver grades accounted for another 15.39%, together five Certified graded libraries accounted for 38.46%, which was the highest rate among the libraries. Any library scoring less than 20% when compared to the full score was graded as Non-certified, and one library, which scored 15.06% fell into this category. The results of this study set up to serve as basic data for the direction of development for green libraries in our country, as well as reference for the employees of libraries in constructing or remodeling library buildings, establishing service infrastructure, providing information service, and planning library duties in an eco-friendly way.

The purpose of this study is to develop school library evaluation criteria by individual provincial office of education. Data was collected from several school library evaluation criteria. Based upon the data new evaluation criteria were developed in order to increase student academic achievement and apply various school environment. Evaluation items were divided into three items: library programs, school support, service. Evaluation methods were identified into survey method, statistics method, and applied standard statistics method. From three methods, applied standard statistics method was selected. This method included quantitative items and qualitative items. Quantitative items have two criteria from budget, three criteria from collection, and three criteria from use. Qualitative items have two criteria: collection and book usage.

The customer satisfaction. which is close with the loyalty, rate of disconnection and re-purchase and the new customer creation is important in point of the enterprise performance measurement system. There have been a number of studies that applied different models in other to assess the customer satisfaction of public and non-public area. But the general evaluation models which are existing can't consider the discrimination characteristic of different types of products or services. And these models didn't reflect the quality of the Internet environment of the public library service which appears newly. This study delved into literature of library service and customer satisfaction evaluation and suggest the classification system of public library service and the evaluation model of customer satisfaction for public library.

The small library evaluation index, which was previously developed and is currently in use, needs to be improved because of two major reasons: inefficient allocation of points along with evaluation items and detailed indicators that are different from the actual environment of small libraries; and the lack of value as basic data for preparing policies relevant to small libraries. Therefore, the present study proposed a small library operation evaluation index (draft) that includes not only a quantitative evaluation but also a qualitative evaluation that allows the evaluation of the basic purpose and value of small libraries by reflecting the demands of the small libraries that are being evaluated. The proposed small library operation evaluation index (draft) was made to be an evaluation for self-inspection that enables small libraries to autonomously conduct operation evaluation and gauge their level by diversifying the evaluation methods and the evaluation scale of detailed indicators.

This study aims to investigate the problems in conducting the first year project of a five-year school library revitalization project and to suggest the alterative to the present system for the following years. The method of evaluation was to visit the 16 local ministries of education and to interview the government school inspectors, school principals, teachers-in-chief, teacher librarians and parents. The evaluation was conducted based on the following criteria； school library facilities and increase in collection, enrichment of education W through school library, location of manpower and enhancement of profession and building the cooperation system with the private and public sectors. Additionally, school library service training and library support system were evaluated.
