혈압측정의 정확성 평가 (Evaluating the Accuracy of Blood Pressure Measurement)

  • Background : Blood pressure is an important indicator in diagnosis and assessing treatment of a patient. Clinical staffs use blood pressure on the assumption that measured value is accurate and reliable. However, whether measured blood pressure is accurate has been rarely investigated in Korea. Objectives : The aims of this study are to evaluate clinical staffs' knowledge and technique as well as accuracy of sphygmomanometer. Also the program to improve the measurement is developed. Methods : Seventy-three registered nurses were asked nine multiple choice questions including Korotkoff sound, cuff size, and deflation rate. Simultaneously characteristics of nurses were examined, age, working place, duration of employment and academic degree. A testing videotape(Standardizing Measurement Video-Tutored Course) was used for evaluating the accuracy of measurement. Testees were to read and record the 12 cases of blood pressure measurement, watching a falling mercury column and hearing Korotkoff sounds. After 10 minutes' education, they were again tested with the same cases. Additionally, 83 mercury sphygmomanometers were checked to find defects such as inaccurate calibration and zero setting, leaky bladder, etc. Results: For the knowledge testing correct response rate was 41.1%. They were the lowest in selecting the proper cuff size and Korotkoff sound. In examining accuracy of blood pressure with videotape, nurses had 67.7% correct response rate. The correct response rate was significantly improved by a session of education. About 23% of sphygmomanometers was without discernable defects. Conclusion : The knowledge and skill of clinical staffs along with the accuracy of equipment have to be improved. A properly designed education program would contribute to the accuracy improvement of blood pressure measurement. Also, more concerns should be given to the precision and maintenance of equipment.

문헌정보학 교육에서 프로젝트기반학습이 협력적 자기효능감 향상에 미치는 효과: 사례연구 (The Effects of Project-Based Learning on Self-Efficacy for Group Work in LIS Education: a Cast Study)

  • 본 연구는 문헌정보학 교육에서 프로젝트기반학습의 적용이 학습자의 협력적 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위하여 디지털도서관 시스템 평가 과목의 수강생 26명을 대상으로 협력적 자기효능감에 대한 사전설문과 사후설문을 실시하여 그 변화를 측정하였고, 대응표본 t-test를 통해 통계적 유의성을 분석하였고, 프로젝트 학습의 실제성이 협력적 자기효능감의 세부요인들과 상관관계가 있는지도 조사하였다. 분석 결과 프로젝트기반학습법은 학습자의 협력적 자기효능감의 세부하위요인들인 리더의 양상, 의견 교환, 의견 평가, 그리고 의견 통합에 대하여 모두 유의미한 효과가 있다는 것과, 학습의 실제성 중 자원의 실제성이 협력적 자기효능감과 부분적으로 상관관계가 있다는 것을 확인하였다.

뷰티재능기부 활성화를 위한 대학 교양교육 프로그램 개발 연구 (A Study on the Development of Liberal Education Program in University for the Activation of Beauty Talent Donation)

  • 본 연구는 G대학의 재학생들의 교양강좌의 하나로 타인에 대한 배려와 공동체 생활에 필요한 사회성 함양을 위한 봉사학습(재능기부) 교양교육 프로그램 개발을 목적으로 시도되었다. 개발된 교양강좌 교과목명은 "뷰티재능기부"로 명명하였으며, 교육내용은 준비, 개발, 보완개발 3단계에 거쳐 최종 개발이 완료되었으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 교과목 학습목표는 타인에 대한 배려와 공동체 생활에 필요한 사회성을 기르며, 나눔에 대한 인식을 함양하고, 피부미용학의 관점에서 봉사학습 연계 교육을 통해 인성을 갖춘 창의적 인재 양성으로 하였다. 주요 구성 내용은 재능기부에 대한 이해, 뷰티이론, 뷰티스킬로 이루어졌다. 학습자들의 평가는 학습자의 학습력을 상대적으로 평가하기보다는 교과안에서의 자기목적 달성이 이루어질 수 있도록 절대평가의 성격을 갖게 하고 Pass 또는 Fail로 평가하도록 설계하였다. 재능기부 수혜기관은 교육기관으로부터 근거리에 위치하면서 학습자가 도보이동이 가능하고, 수혜를 받을 수 있는 대상자 모집이 용이하며, 본 강좌의 취지를 이해하고 협조 가능한 기관으로 선정하였다.

  • 청각장애인을 위한 청능 및 언어 훈련은 비장애인과 소통능력을 배양하는 기본적인 훈련이지만 동시에 부모나 지도교사의 경제적부담, 육체적 피로를 수반한다. 이를 해결하기 위해 웹기반의 청능 및 언어 훈련 콘텐츠가 계속해서 개발되어 왔다. 그러나 장애인의 청각상태 및 학습능력의 차이가 존재함에도 불구하고 이런 개인 차이를 고려하지 않은 채 개발되고 있다. 따라서 장애자의 상태와 잔존청력, 학습능력 및 훈련성취도를 정확히 평가하고 분석하여 장애자에게 적절한 훈련진도를 계획하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서 청각장애자를 위해 개인평가에 따라 다양하게 청능 언어 훈련을 기획하고 관리해주는 청능 및 언어 훈련 서비스 모델을 제안한다. 또한 이 모델을 기반으로 하는 기능성 게임콘텐츠를 기획하는 설계방법을 제시한다.

호흡기계 기본간호 수행능력 향상을 위한 OSCE 평가 방법의 효과 (Effects of OSCE Method on Performance of Clinical Skills of Students in Fundamentals of Nursing Course)

  • Purpose: The main purpose of this study was to compare the effects of OSCE method and the traditional evaluation method on nursing skills performance of students enrolled in fundamentals of nursing courses. Method: The study was designed as a quasi-experimental, nonequivalent control group post test design with two classes of sophomore students attending fundamentals of nursing courses at one baccaleureate nursing school located in a metropolitan Seoul area. The control group was evaluated using a traditional method and the experimental group was evaluated using the OSCE method. Data were collected from June, 2001 to June, 2002. There were 35 students in the OSCE method group and 39 students in the control group. Data analysis was done using SPSS WIN 9.0. Result: The results showed that the students in the OSCE method group did significantly better in clinical nursing skills performance than the students in the traditional method group. And the OSCE method group showed significantly higher satisfaction score in the evaluation method than the control group. Conclusion: The OSCE method is an effective tool for evaluating clinical nursing skills performance in student nurses. It is necessary to explore more efficient ways to develop OSCE cases in wider areas of nursing education. It is also recommended to replicate similar studies in nursing education.

ICT 활용 교육을 위한 원격지 학급간 협동 학습 시스템 (Development of a Remote Cooperative Studying System for ICT Using Education)

  • 인터넷을 기반으로 한 원격지 학급간 협동 학습 시스템은 원격지 학급을 연결하는 매칭 시스템, 다양한 보상 체계와 상호 작용으로 실질적인 협동 학습이 이루어질 수 있도록 한 커뮤니티 시스템, 개인이나 모둠 및 학습실의 학습 성취도를 평가하고 학습 결과물을 공유할 수 있는 리포트 시스템으로 구성하였다. 특히 협동 학습 과정을 사전 준비 단계, 모둠 구성 단계, 상호 작용 단계, 결과 협의 단계, 평가 정리 단계로 구분하여 시스템에 적용시켰다. 이 시스템은 다양한 상호 작용과 책임 있는 모둠 활동을 제공하므로 교사는 자연스럽게 ICT 활용 교육에 자신감을 갖게 되고, 학생은 정보화 사회에 필요한 기초적인 ICT와 공동체 의식 습득할 것이다.

Reducing Fungicidal Spray Frequency for Major Apple Diseases by Increasing the Spray Interval from 15 to 25 days

  • During the course of a study to develop a spraying program at 15-day spray intervals, two important findings were identified allowing for further reduction of spray frequency by increasing the spray interval. In evaluating the contribution of fungicides from a 15-day spray interval program, control of white rot, which is of prime importance in Korea, was not affected, in spite of the extended spray interval caused by omitting the fungicides during the season. In another experiment assessing the duration of the protective activities of several key fungicides used in the 15-day spray interval program, infection control was maintained for almost 30 days for some fungicide. Based on these two findings, a basic spraying program with a 25-day spray interval was developed. This program was modified for four successive years to improve the control efficacy against bitter rot and Marssonina blotch, which sometimes causes as much damage as white rot.

AP-PCR을 이용한 다발성 우식아동의 구강내 Streptococcus mutans의 유전자형 분류 (GENOTYPING OF STREPTOCOCCUS MUTANS USING AP-PCR IN CHILDREN WITH RAMPANT CARIES)

  • For the purpose of evaluating the appropriateness of AP-PCR as a facile, rapid and reproducible method for genotyping Streptococcus mutans, and selecting the discriminant primer for it, a DNA fingerprinting was performed on the microorganisms isolated from caries-free children and children with rampant caries, respectively. In the course of selecting appropriate primer for S. mutans genotyping, we chose S2 primer from 6 different primers which shows highest resolution on the agarose gel as well. Nineteen kinds of fingerprint patterns were observed in caries-free children and children with rampant caries which were produced by combination of 7 different fragments. Interestingly, the number of types observed in caries-free children was greater than that in children with rampant caries. And we observed Type 2 was predominant in children with rampant caries (about 80%) and relatively even distribution of each types in caries-free children. Furthermore, it was appeared that the major types in normal control were not or rarely found in children with rampant caries. In conclusion, we could establish simple, rapid and highly reproducible AP-PCR method for genotyping S. mutans. We also found differences in distribution of S. mutans between normal and patient, which suggested that cariogenicity is also dependent on qualitative aspects which is caused by the difference in genotypes of S. mutans in oral cavity.

혈관성 두통환자에서의 Transcranial Doppler이용 (Transcranial Doppler Ultrasonography in Vascular Headaches)

  • The most significant factor in pathogenesis of vascular headaches like migraine and cluster headache is dynamic changes of diameters of the cerebral arteries. TCD is a valuable noninvasive tool to assess the cerebral hemodynamic status by measuring the flow velocities of the intracranial cerebral arteries around the circle of Willis. TCD can evaluate flow velocities and vasoreactivity of the patients with a vascular headache during the ictal phase as well as during intericatal phase. Distribution of the changes recorded differ between types of headaches and also between the major ictal symptoms. The changes suggest the presence of prolonged vasospasm interictally and more marked relaxation of the cerebral arteries. TCD can be used to monitor the long-term clinical course of patients with vascular headache by correlation the symptomatic improvement and TCD data before and after long-term pharmacological prophylactic treatments. During the ictal phases large intervention. The results may be used in selecting and evaluating the agents for abortive therapy for acute attacks. In conclusion TCD can quantitatively evaluate vascular headaches when making diagnosis and classification and can provide guidelines to choose more individualized therapeutic options for both acute and long-term treatment.

It leads mostly to the large accedent when the explosion accident happens. to keep this, The system which the regular period passes to disuse the structure is prepared but The phenomenon which Time and the strength characteristic of the material change, namely Deradation. but It can't be a preventable solution by accident to the damage. Consequentl, This research can take important role to prevent an every kind accident for domestic pressure vessel by evaluating the mechnical characteristic change of meterial, the structure safety and residual life etc.
