Objectives: The purpose of the study was to evaluate the level of ethical dilemma and related factors in some clinical dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 290 clinical dental hygienists in G metropolitan city from January 5 to February 27, 2015. The instruments used for this study were the modified ethical dilemma scale developed Lee, Kim and Park. The questionnaire consisted of dental hygienists & subjects(4 items), dental hygienists & professionals(12 items), dental hygienists & partners(7 items), and medical information(31 items). The questions were measured by Likert 5 points scale. The statistical analyses include descriptive statistics, t-test and stepwise multiple regression analysis using SPSS 12.0 program. Results: Dental hygienists perceived ethical dilemma scored 3.35 and 3.24 except medical information. Professionals and partners in sub-domain of ethical dilemma by experience of ethics education and ethical conflict were high and showed statistically significant difference. The strongest predictor of dental hygienists and subjects was job satisfaction. The strongest predictor of dental hygienists and partners was adequacy of ethics education in college/university. Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that it is necessary to develop the professional dental hygiene program for the prevention of ethical dilemma in dental hygienists and to make ethics education for ethical decision making.

This study was conducted to study on 1) What is nursing students' experience of ethical problems involving nursing practice\ulcorner 2) What is nursing students' experience of using ethical decision-making models\ulcorner Method: In order to answer these two questions, we selected 97 senior baccalaureate nursing students from two Korean universities using a conceptual framework and method of content analysis. Result: From 97 ethical problems emerged five content categories, the largest being ethical problems involving health professionals (69%); the basic nature of the nursing students' experience of ethical problems consisted of conflict, resolution, and rationale; 94% of the students stated that using an ethical decision- making model was helpful. Conclusion: Although additional research is needed, these findings have important implications for nursing ethics education and practice.

This research aims to analyze the ethical requirements and to find the problems for the publication guidelines of oriental medicine journals. A total of 13 domestic journals, related to oriental medicine and registered in 'National Research Foundation of Korea' list, were selected for the analysis of ethical requirements. We inquired the revised year of the publication guideline and the status of ethics committee of selected journals. The ethical requirements of publication guidelines were evaluated by categorizing them into Institutional Review Board(IRB), Helsinki Declaration, Informed Consent, confidentiality and anonymity of subjects, and conflict of interest. In the case of revised year of the publication guidelines, the year of the most recently revised journal was 2011. However, the revised year of publication guidelines were not announced for three journals and a few journals haven't revised the publication guidelines since 2002. In the case of ethics committee status, four journals out of 13 journals maintained the ethics committee. In the result of ethical requirement analysis, nine journals included the information for confidentiality and anonymity of subjects, and four journals included the information for Helsinki Declaration and Informed Consent. However, only one journal included the information for IRB and conflict of interest. Recently, the importance of clinical researches has been increased to prove the effect of oriental medicine scientifically and objectively. The clinical researches should be considered in scientific side and ethical side as well, because they have potential risks to human subjects. In this sense, announcing the ethical requirements in the publication guidelines can be one way to secure the morality of researches. Thus, it is required to prepare correct publication guidelines and ethical requirements in oriental medicine journals.

본 연구는 신변보호요원의 윤리적 딜레마에 대한 현상학적 연구로 신변보호요원을 대상으로 윤리적 딜레마에 대한 경험적 사실들을 근거로 의미와 본질을 찾아 신변보호요원들의 윤리적 딜레마에 대한 과정과 경험을 연구하여 본질을 이해하고 예방과 대처를 할 수 있는 기초적자료를 위한 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 Colaizzi의 6단계 분석 절차를 사용하여 5년이상 근무를 한 7명의 윤리적 딜레마를 경험한 신변보호요원을 연구대상으로 선정하여, 2015년 10월 1일부터 2015년 11월 20일까지 면접 및 질문지를 통해 자료를 분석하고 연구의 타당성과 윤리적 고려사항을 통해 내용을 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 도출할 수 있었다. 연구 결과 신변보호요원의 윤리적 딜레마의 중심의미는 6개와 20개의 주제진술로 파악되었다. 첫째, 중심의미는 갈등요인으로 주제는 직전관행과의 충돌, 규정 절차 문제, 조직 직무소통, 서비스불일치이다. 둘째, 중심의미는 업무상 역할제한으로 주제는 제도적 관행, 의사결정, 우선순위이다. 셋째, 중심의미는 업무상 상황판단의 어려움으로 주제는 결정의 모호성, 지식 및 경험, 의견대립이다. 넷째, 중심의미는 합리적 자기 방어로 주제는 책임감결여, 합리화, 의도적 외면, 자괴감이다. 다섯째, 중심의미는 대인관계 어려움으로 주제는 상 하관계, 중간 관리자 역할, 비협조적 업무, 불쾌한 언행이다. 여섯째, 중심의미는 비밀유지로 주제는 묻혀진 행태, 불법관행이다.

It is fair to say that there are many ethical issues concerning the publication of medical papers. To define the best practice in the ethics of scientific publishing and a proper understanding of appropriate reporting in medical papers, this review should be useful for authors dealing with ethical issues which involve the protection of human and animal rights, the protection of confidentiality and informed consent, fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, author and authorship, copy right transfer, duplicate publication, conflict of interest, and dealing with misconduct cases.

국내의 동물복지 개념의 도입은 해외 선진국에 비해 늦었으나 정부 주도에 의해 비교적 적극적인 동물복지정책들이 도입되고 있다. 그러나 축산업 현장에서 동물복지 인식이 충분치 못하기 때문에 자발적인 개선이 아닌 정부의 정책수단에 의하여 동물복지를 추진하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 산란계 농가를 중심으로 최근 5년간 도입된 동물복지 관련 정책이 현장에서 유발하는 갈등을 유형화하여 파악하기 위하여 산란 농장 운영자들의 동물복지 관련 의식수준 및 동물복지 관련 규정 준수여부를 조사하였다. 산란 농가 현장방문을 통하여 설문조사를 진행하였으며, 산란양계농장 운영자(소유자 혹은 관리 책임자)를 대상으로 53가구의 산란양계 농가를 조사하였다(2020년 산란양계농가 수 797가구 수 기준 90% 신뢰수준(Z-score: 1.65) 10.18% 허용 오차). 현장에서의 갈등을 윤리적 고려 수준에 따라 소극적, 중도적, 적극적 3가지로 유형화하였다. 또한 윤리적 고려 수준에 따라 동물복지 관련 규정 준수 여부와의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 결과적으로, 축산 현장에서의 동물복지 관련 규정 준수 여부는 축산 농장 운영자의 윤리적 고려수준의 영향을 받는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 다만 예외적으로 농장 운영자의 동물복지 의식수준이 높음에도 동물복지 관련 규정은 준수하지 못하는 갈등상황이 확인되었는데, 이는 현장에서 인지하고 있는 규정과 정책의 충돌로 인해 발생한 갈등 상황임을 확인할 수 있었다. 이처럼 정책 수단에 의해 추진되는 동물복지가 효과적일 수는 있지만, 아직은 현장에서 갈등을 유발하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

외형적으로 화려하고 인기직종으로 보이는 광고모델이지만 이면에는 많은 광고모델들이 직업에 적응하지 못하고 비교적 단기간에 이직하고 있다. 이는 광고모델 에이젠시의 업무에 상당한 차질을 초래하고 그 신뢰성에 부정적 영향을 주며 매출감소로 이어지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 광고모델의 전문직업적 정체성, 감정노동, 역할갈등이 이직의도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 또한 전문직업적 정체성, 감정노동, 역할갈등과 이직의도의 관계에서 신뢰성과 매력성 그리고 윤리적환경의 조절효과를 분석하여 광고모델의 이직의도에 대한 개선책을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 역할갈등, 감정노동, 전문직업적 정체성의 순서로 광고모델의 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하여 이들 독립변수들과 이직의도간의 관계에 신뢰성, 매력성, 윤리적환경을 투입하여 조절효과를 검증한 결과 신뢰성은 감정노동이 이직의도에 미치는 부정적 영향을 조절하며, 윤리적환경은 전문직업적 정체성이 낮을 경우 이직의도에 미치는 부정적 영향을 조절하는 요인으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 감정노동자인 광고모델에게 자기신뢰가 갖는 중요성을 부각시키고 광고모델이 태어나는 것이 아니라 전문적이고 체계적이며 바람직한 직업 환경에 의해 만들어짐을 의미한다 하겠다.

본 연구는 Walker와 Avant의 방법을 이용한 학생간호사의 윤리역량에 대한 개념분석 연구이다. 최근 10년 간 윤리역량에 대한 국내 및 국외 선행연구 최종 11편을 선정하여 분석에 이용하였다. 본 연구에서 학생간호사의 윤리역량의 개념은 윤리적 민감성, 윤리적 판단력, 윤리적 행위에 대한 실천의지, 윤리적 행위의 실행력이 속성으로 도출되었다. 선행요인은 자기이해, 지지적 환경, 윤리적 갈등 경험, 윤리교육 경험이었으며, 결과는 간호전문직관, 간호직에 대한 만족도, 환자안전으로 나타났다. 즉, 학생간호사의 윤리역량 향상을 위해서는 다차원 간 균형적인 성장과 발달이 이루어져야 하며, 이를 통해 학생간호사의 윤리적 민감성, 윤리적 판단력, 윤리적 행위에 대한 실천의지, 윤리적 행위의 실행력이 향상될 수 있다. 이를 위해서는 학생간호사 스스로 충분한 자기이해와 학생간호사를 지원해줄 수 있는 지지적 환경, 과거에 윤리적 갈등상황에 직면했던 경험 및 윤리역량을 향상시키기 위한 교육의 경험이 선행되어야 하며, 학생간호사의 윤리역량 향상은 결과적으로 간호전문직관을 확립하고, 간호직에 대한 만족도가 높아지며, 환자안전에 기여할 수 있다. 이를 기초로 학생간호사의 특성을 반영한 윤리역량의 속성이 잘 반영된 도구 개발 연구를 제언하며, 학생간호사의 윤리역량을 향상시키기 위한 전략 및 효과적인 프로그램을 개발하기 위한 추후 연구를 제언한다.

The core issue of ethical problem solving in engineering is to understand what exactly happened and to define its nature. Problems often arise mostly in morally complex situations. Traditional philosophical theories usually focus on extreme conflicts of interest and suggest moral theory-centered problem solving methods. However, these methods are not only difficult to specifically apply to real situations, but also are likely to fail to deal with actual moral issues in engineering fields. This study aims to develop more desirable ethical problem solving methods, based on STS (Science and Technology Studies) and engineering ethics combined. First, we have examined the engineering ethics with implications of an STS perspective, then have analyzed traditional ethical problem solving methods in a critical point of view. This study will suggest a new ethical problem solving method named Matrix Guide, based upon those analyses. Specifically, this study classifies four stages of problem definition, analysis, solving, and feedback. Here, we focus on how to combine technological and non-technological factors in each stage, when we are facing morally complex situations in engineering sectors.

Purpose: This study was done to analyze the contents of nurses' ethical decision-making in four of hypothetical dilemma cases using the Cameron's Ethical Decision-Making Model of 'Value, Be, Do'. Method: Sixteen nurses who work at ICU at present or worked before, participated from April 10 to May 10 in 2002. The participants were interviewed three times each and for 40 minutes at once, with a structured questionnaire at their working places and locker rooms. The data was analyzed by a procedure of qualitative content analysis into three categories; what should I value, who should I be, what should I do. Result: 1) In consistency, most of subjects showed a unified voice in 'Value, Be, Do'. Exceptionally 8 subjects showed inconsistency such as 3 in active treatment to the incurable patients(case 1), 1 in treatment truth-telling to the terminally ill patients(case 2), 3 in conflict with uncooperative doctors(case 3), 3 in dying patients and euthanasia(case 4). Only one subject showed inconsistency in 3 dilemma cases. 2) Closing the interview procedure, the subjects evaluated Cameron's Model as it would help them build consistent value, carry right action, and cope to conflicts. Conclusion: On the basis of the results, it is recommended that nursing ethics should adopt the ethical decision-making model, and be applied to the curriculum of nursing colleges and continuing education program for clinical nurses.
