  • NDF (No Defect Found) is a phenomenon in which defects have been found in the manufacturing, operation and use of a product or facility, but phenomenon of defects is not reproduced in the subsequent investigation system or the cause of the defects cannot be identified. Recently, with the development of the fourth industrial revolution, convergence of hardware and software technologies in various fields is spreading to products such as aircraft, home appliances, and mobile devices, and the number of parts is increasing due to functional convergence. The application of such convergence technologies and the increase in the number of parts are major factors that lead to an increase in NDF phenomena. NDF phenomena have a significant negative impact on cost, reliability, and reliability for both manufacturers, service providers and operators. On the other hand, due to the nature of NDF phenomena such as difficult and intermittent cause identification and ambiguity in judgment, it is common to underestimate the cost of NDF or fail to take appropriate countermeasures in corporate management. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a methodology for estimating NDF costs by the PAF model which is a quality cost analysis model and ABC (Activity Based Costing) technique. The methodology of this study suggests a detailed procedure and the concept to accurately estimate the NDF costs, using ABC analysis, accounting system information, and IT system data. In addition case studies have validated the methodology. We think this could be a valid methodology to refer to when estimating the cost of other parts. And, it is meaningful to provide important judgment information in the decision-making process based on quality management and ultimately reduce NDF costs by visualizing them separately by major variable factors.

Effectiveness of percutaneous epidural neuroplasty using a balloon catheter in patients with chronic spinal stenosis accompanying mild spondylolisthesis: a longitudinal cohort study

  • Background: Degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis (DLS) is frequently associated with lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) and conservative treatments such as epidural steroid injection do not have long-term benefits in LSS patients with DLS. This study evaluated the effectiveness of percutaneous epidural neuroplasty using a balloon catheter in patients with LSS and DLS. Methods: Patients' sex, age, body mass index, diabetes, hypertension, stenosis grading, pain duration, location, pain intensity, and medications were retrieved from electronic medical records. At 1, 3, and 6 months following the procedure, data on pain severity, medication usage, and physical functional status were analyzed. A generalized estimating equations model was used at the six-month follow-up. Patients were divided into those with DLS (the spondylolisthesis group) and those without DLS (the no spondylolisthesis group) to evaluate whether the effects of percutaneous epidural neuroplasty using a balloon catheter were different. Results: A total of 826 patients were included (spondylolisthesis: 433 patients, 52.4%; no spondylolisthesis: 393 patients, 47.6%). Age, body mass index, hypertension, pain location, and stenosis grading were statistically different between the two groups. The generalized estimating equations analyses with unadjusted and adjusted estimation revealed a significant improvement in the estimated mean numerical rating scale of pain intensities compared to that at baseline in both groups (P < 0.001). Any adverse events that occurred were minor and temporary. Conclusions: Percutaneous epidural neuroplasty using a balloon catheter may be an alternative treatment option for patients with chronic LSS, regardless of accompanying DLS, who have had failed conservative management.

WASP5 모형에 의한 새만금호의 수질 매개변수 추정 (Estimation on Parameters of Water Quality in the Saemanguem Lake by WASP5 Model)

  • WASP5 모형을 새만금호에 적용하여 모형의 매개변수 추정을 수행하였다. 추정방법으로는 수질항목 및 매개변수들을 몇 개의 군으로 나누어, 각 군의 매개변수들을 시행착오법에 의하여 순차적으로 추정하는 방법을 사용하였다. 모의 수질항목으로서 엽록소 a, 질소 순환요소들, 인순환요소들, BOD 및 DO 등을 포함하였으며, 복잡도 4에서 수질을 모의하였다. 새만금 담수호의 전체유역을 수 개의 물수지 단위 소유역으로 구분하여 물수지 분석을 하였다. 본 연구에서는 물수지 분석모형에 의한 1975년부터 1996년까지 22년간 월별 평균유입량을 산정하여 모형의 상류경계단에서의 유량 입력자료로 이용하였다. 1997 및 1998년의 수질측정자료는 계절별 평균치와 함께 계절별 매개변수의 보정 및 검증에 각각 사용하였다. 수질항목 및 관련 매개변수들을 계열별로 분류하여 추정하는 것이 많은 수의 매개변수 추정에 있어서 효율적인 방법임을 알 수 있었다. 모형의 보정 및 검증 결과, 유기물의 비점오염원에 대한 정량적 평가가 필요함을 알 수 있었다.

수학교과의 동형고사 문항에서 양호도 향상에 유효한 최적정답율 산정에 관한 연구 (Study on Estimating the Optimal Number-right Score in Two Equivalent Mathematics-test by Linear Score Equating)

  • In this paper, we have represented the efficient way how to enumerate the optimal number-right scores to adjust the item difficulty and to improve item discrimination. To estimate the optimal number-right scores in two equivalent math-tests by linear score equating a measurement error model was applied to the true scores observed from a pair of equivalent math-tests assumed to measure same trait. The model specification for true scores which is represented by the bivariate model is a simple regression model to inference the optimal number-right scores and we assume again that the two simple regression lines of raw scores and true scores are independent each other in their error models. We enumerated the difference between mean value of $\chi$* and ${\mu}$$\_$$\chi$/ and the difference between the mean value of y*and a+b${\mu}$$\_$$\chi$/ by making an inference the estimates from 2 error variable regression model. Furthermore, so as to distinguish from the original score points, the estimated number-right scores y’$\^$*/ as the estimated regression values of true scores with the same coordinate were moved to center points that were composed of such difference values with result of such parallel score moving procedure as above mentioned. We got the asymptotically normal distribution in Figure 5 that was represented as the optimal distribution of the optimal number-right scores so that we could decide the optimal proportion of number-right score in each item. Also by assumption that equivalence of two tests is closely connected to unidimensionality of a student’s ability. we introduce new definition of trait score to evaluate such ability in each item. In this study there are much limitations in getting the real true scores and in analyzing data of the bivariate error model. However, even with these limitations we believe that this study indicates that the estimation of optimal number right scores by using this enumeration procedure could be easily achieved.

점탄성 감쇠기를 설치한 강구조건물의 지진하중에 대한 거동 연구 (Seismic Behavior of Viscoelastically Damped Steel-Frame Structures)

  • 본 논문은 에너지 분산장치의 일종인 점탄성 감쇠기를 설치한 건물의 거동에 관한 연구이다. 평상온도에서 뿐만아니라 높은 주변온도 하에서도 점탄성 감쇠기를 설치한 건물은 이를 설치하지 않은 건물에 비해서 구조응답이 현저히 감소함을 나타낸다. 감쇠기에 대한 실험에서 얻은 결과를 회귀분석하여 감쇠기의 동적특성을 산정할 수 있는 실험식을 유도한다. 감쇠기를 설치한 건물의 구조감쇠는 모드 변형에너지법과 유도된 실험식을 이용하여 성공적으로 예측할 수 있다. 또한, 점탄성 감쇠된 건물의 지진하중에 의한 동적 구조응답을 예측하기 위하여 수치모형해석을 수행한다. 수치모형해석의 결과는 실험결과와 잘 일치하는 것으로 나타나 일반적인 모드해석방법에 의해 점탄성 감쇠기를 설치한 건물의 동적거동을 정확하게 예측할 수 있음을 보여준다. 이러한 결과를 토대로, 점탄성 감쇠기를 설치한 건물에 대한 설계방법을 제시한다. 이 설계방법은 일반적인 건물의 설계에 감쇠비라는 설계요소를 추가함으로서 가능해진다.

구매빈도별 피자전문점 선택에 미치는 속성의 영향 평가 (Estimating Effects of Attributes on Choice of Pizza Restaurants by Purchase Frequency)

  • The purpose of this study is to measure the pizza purchasing behavioral characteristics of respondents and importances of factors affecting pizza purchase, to estimate the effects of attributes on choice of pizza restaurant, and to predict probability of selecting a particular pizza restaurant. The questionnaire consisted of two parts: The paired experimental profiles, purchasing behavior and importances of factors affecting pizza purchase. This study generated profiles of 16 hypothetical pizza restaurants based on seven attributes. The profiles comprised 16 discrete sets of variables, each of which had two levels. For this study, researcher randomly selected 150 university students as respondents. Twenty one students did not complete the survey instrument, resulting in a final sample size of 129. All estimations were carried out using frequencies, $X^2$, independent samples t-test, phreg procedure of SAS package. The results were as followed: Some purchasing behavioral characteristics and importances of factors affecting pizza purchase were significantly different by purchase frequency. Based on the estimated models developed for the two purchase frequency groups, the Chi-square statistics were significant at p<0.001. The parameter estimate for late delivery time with frequently purchase frequency group was highest, and the parameter estimate for price with frequently purchase frequency group was highest. The pizza restaurants that charged 20,000 won, offered 100% discount on eleventh pizza, promised to deliver pizza in 20 min, usually delivered the pizza as promised, offered 2 or more types of pizza crust, delivered steaming hot pizza, and did not offer a money-back guarantee which was favored by each of the two purchase frequency groups. The results from this study suggested that there was an opportunity to increase market share and profit by improving operations so that customers can receive discount and money-back guarantee simultaneously, and by reducing price, delivery time.

  • Objectives : The oriental medicine Jangwonhwan originally described in the Korean medical text, DonguiBogam(amnesia chapter). Recently, a modified formula of Jangwonhwan(LMK02-Jangwonhwan), was shown to reduce $\beta$-amyloid deposition in the brain of Tg-APPswe/PS1dE9 mouse model for Alzheimer's disease. This experiment aimed to investigate the acute oral toxicity of LMK02 in SD rats by up-and-down procedure determinations. Methods : Quality control of tablet form of LMK02 was established by estimating indicative components, Ginsenoside Rg3 of Red Ginseng and Decursin of Angelicagigas Nakai. The toxicity of LMK02 was investigated in 6 week old, specific pathogen free(SPF), Sprageu-Dawley rats. 3 female rats received 5,000 mg/10 ml/kg of test substance and their death rate, clinical sings, weight changes and autopsy findings had been observed for 2 weeks. Results : Any specific symptoms or death were resulted in this experiment. No significant changes in rats' weight. No significant differences in atopsy. Conclusions : The minimum lethal dose(MLD) of LMK02 for female Sprauge-Dawley rats were more than 5,000mg/kg in this experiment.

  • RUSLE는 강우침식, 토양침식, 지형적 특징, 경작관리 등과 같은 유역 토양유실량 산정에 널리 사용되어 왔다. RUSLE 관련 매개변수 중 강우침식인자는 가장 민감도가 큰 요소로 그 신뢰성을 높이는 것은 정확한 유역 토양유식량 산정을 위한 필수조건이다. 국내에서는 유역의 토양침식을 조절하고 토양유실량 산정을 위한 강우침식인자 산정에 대한 명확한 기준이 마련되어 있지 않고 연평균 강우량과 침식인자의 관계식을 이용하거나 TRB에서 제안한 방법을 이용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 빈도분석을 이용하여 강우침식인자를 산정하는 절차를 제안하였다. 다양한 재현빈도와 지속기간에 대해 계산된 강우침식인자는 지속시간에 따라 정규분포 형태로 나타났기 때문에 확률분포함수를 이용해서 강우침식인자를 산정할 수 있도록 적합분포함수를 제안하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방법을 통하여 유역의 토양유식을 효과적으로 조절하고 구조물에 대한 설계토양유실량을 계산하기 위한 최적의 강우침식인자를 산정할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

At p<0.001, we would reject the null hypothesis that the attributes do not influence choice. The parameter estimate for price was highest, followed by late delivery time, promised delivery time, money-back guarantee, discount, pizza variety, and pizza temperature. The result from this study suggested that there was an opportunity to increase market share and profit by improving operations so that customers receive discount and money-back guarantee simultaneously, and by reducing price, delivery time.

다방향 불규칙파에 대한 조파 기법 및 방향 스펙트럼 추정 연구 (Study on Wave Generation Technique and Estimation of Directional Wave Spectra for Multi-Directional Irregular Waves)

  • In this study, fundamental research is conducted for the generation technique and analysis of multi-directional irregular waves in the Deep Ocean Engineering Basin (DOEB). A three-dimensional boundary element method-based numerical tank is implemented to perform wave generation simulations, and directional spectrum estimation is carried out using the results of simulations. The wave generation technique of the Snake type wave maker, generating multi-directional irregular waves, is implemented using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) algorithms. The wave generation technique is validated by comparing the wave spectrum from simulations and experiments. A Maximum Likelihood Method (MLM) based estimation code is developed for estimating the directional wave spectra. The multi-directional irregular waves are tested in the DOEB and the numerical tank, and directional wave spectra obtained from two methodologies are estimated and compared. A correction procedure for the directional distribution of multi-directional waves is established, and the possibility of correcting the directional spreading function using the numerical tank is validated.
