  • This paper presents a Tabu Search (TS) based algorithm to solve the Optimal Power Flow (OPF) problem, converses rapidly to global optima by means of escaping local minima. In this paper, a new approach based on the random TS algorithm with continuous variable is proposed to find that a solution to the OPF problem within reasonable time complexity. To verify the efficiency of the proposed approach, case studies are made for IEEE 30-bus system.

  • During that time various methods were introduced in the unit planning for the various realization. But the consideration against a variety from the living and functional side still is insufficient. The methods of this study are as follows: 1) Executing domestic instances of being completed above 30 years apartment housing. 2) Case studying the 'Wallgae mansion' in hannam-dong, one of them. Based on the results, this study is analyzed plan variations and the changing points of exterior elevations. The results are as follows: The layout integrated and divided changes composition of units and it is various escaping in the outer wall as the external space being various. Also including the balcony, the spaces with intermediate characteristics much more effect variety of elevations.

  • A virtual obstacle method for escaping local minima encountered by sonar-based mobile robot navigation used in real-time obstacle avoidance is presented. The new algorithm judges the mobile robot falls into local minima and helps the mobile robot escape from Et, which regards a concave obstacle as convex or flat one, virtual obstacle method. In the algorithm, it starts to make virtual-obstacle when the mobile robot meets a certain condition, then the robot mores back slowly taking inside area of local minima as obstacle gradually The new algorithm is simulated. The experimental results are presented to demonstrate the usefulness of the method.

만성 정신분열병환자의 살아온 경험 (The Daily Experiences of People with Chronic Schizophrenia)

  • Purpose: This research investigated the daily experiences of patients' lives to develop a formal theory that explains the lives of schizophrenic patients. Method: A grounded theory method(Strauss & Corbin, 1998) guided the data collection and analysis. Thirteen patients who were diagnosed with schizophrenia in regional communities participated. Result: The experiences of chronic schizophrenic patients are defined as "escaping from a fallen mine" comparing their suffering to that of entrapped miners trying to free themselves from a collapsed mine tunnel with much difficulty and without hope. In observing participant's time lines of having lived with chronic schizophrenia, it advances with 'surrender', 'collapse', 'reaching out', 'rising', 'preparing to spring up', and 'starting anew'. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the experience of a chronic schizophrenic patient is like that of a miner caught under a fallen mine channel, who, without external help cannot escape the depths 'Of the mine, but at the same time must have conviction and hope of rescue and avert fear to cooperate with outside help. The result indicates that family members, doctors and nurses as well as an institute's persistent and active support is most critical for the patient's adjustment to social life.

나이젤코츠(Nigel Coates) 작품에 나타난 오브제적 감성공간 특성 연구 (A Study on the Features of Object-Focused Emotional Space in the Works of Nigel Coates)

  • Postmodernism, a cultural movement which occurred in the mid-20th century, avoided functional form, one of the features of modernism, and pursued post-rational and post-centric pluralistic thought which puts human emotions in importance. Postmodernism set a high value on emotional instincts of humans and focused on creation of empathy. It includes scepticism of rationalism and indicates the significance of emotional and psychological instincts of humans, or 'emotions'. Along with the big change in that time, more dynamic and unprecedented indoor spaces had appeared. Nigel Coates, who had taken various kinds of artistic activity from the early 1980s to the late 1990s, had tried to make a new approach of objet-focused emotional spaces. Such an approach made in the time when science and technology had rapidly developed and social structure had changed was considerably fresh, liberal, and futuristic. He interpreted spaces by escaping from realistic intentions and communicating with drawings, and designed object-focused emotional spaces by actively employing objets on the basis of ideas. He tried to make emotional sharing between the public and spaces through objet, and showed unique spaces in his own way by reinterpreting the meanings of spaces and stimulating human emotion. This study was intended to look into his artworks to show his way of approaching objets, and to find an application plan and the future possibility of the plan.

중환자실 환자의 입원 경험 (Experiences of Admission for Critically Ill Patients in ICU)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the meanings and nature of ICU admission experienced among patients with critical illness. The present study adopted a hermeneutic phenomenological method which was developed by van Manen. Methods: The participants for this study were 6 men and 3 women, who were over the age of 20 with ICU admission period more than 3 days. Data were collected by using in-depth interviews and observations from March, 2007 to September, 2007. The contents of the interviews were tape-recorded with the consent of the subject. Results: The essential themes that fit into the context of the 4 existential grounds of body, time, space and other people were as follows: a body that cannot react the way it wants, a wave of fear and insecurity everywhere, a struggle to survive, coming out from death's door, loss of time path, a long and continued waiting until escaping, more of machinery room than a patient's room, existence of life and death, an abyss of suffering seen thru another patient, taken care of by a doctor, trust and distrust, family, the ultimate safe zone. Conclusion: Critically ill patients in ICU experienced feelings of discomfort, unsafety, and insecurity. The result of this study can give nurses some insight into these experiences and help promote empathetic care.

Numerical analysis of water flow characteristics after inrushing from the tunnel floor in process of karst tunnel excavation

  • In order to investigate water flow characteristics after inrushing in process of karst tunnel excavation, numerical simulations for five case studies of water inrush from the tunnel floor are carried out by using the FLUENT software on the background of Qiyueshan high risk karst tunnel. Firstly, the velocity-distance curves and pressure-distance curves are drawn by selecting a series of probing lines in a plane. Then, the variation characteristics of velocity and pressure are analyzed and the respective optimized escape routes are made. Finally, water flow characteristics after inrushing from the tunnel floor are discussed and summarized by comparing case studies under the conditions of different water-inrush positions and excavation situations. The results show that: (1) Tunnel constructors should first move to the tunnel side wall and then escape quickly when water inrush happens. (2) Tunnel constructors must not stay at the intersection area of the cross passage and tunnels when escaping. (3) When water inrush from floor happens in the left tunnel, if tunnel constructors meet the cross passage during escaping, they should pass through it rapidly, turn to the right tunnel and run to the entrance. (4) When water inrush from floor happens in the left tunnel, if there is not enough time to escape, tunnel constructors can run to the trolley and other equipment in the vicinity of the right tunnel working face. In addition, some rescuing equipment can be set up at the high location of the cross passage. (5) When water inrush from floor happens in the cross passage, tunnel constructors should move to the tunnel side wall quickly, turn to the tunnel without water inrush and run to the entrance. (6) When water inrush from floor happens in the cross passage, if there is not enough time to escape, tunnel constructors can run to the trolley and other equipment near by the left or the right tunnel working face. The results are of important practical significance and engineering value to ensure the safety of tunnel construction.

열수 주입법에 의한 메탄가스 하이드레이트 펠릿의 해리 특성에 관한 실험 연구 (Experimental Study on the Dissociation Characteristics of Methane Hydrate Pellet by Hot Water Injection)

  • GTS 기술은 천연가스 하이드레이트 생산, 해양수송 및 재기화의 3 단계로 구성되며, 대규모 재기화 플랜트의 효율적 운용을 위해서는 하이드레이트 펠릿의 재기화에 필요한 열수 온도와 유량의 정확한 예측이 필수적이다. 하이드레이트 펠릿이 열수에서 해리할 때 펠릿 표면에서 분출되는 가스는 주변 유동장과 열전달 특성에 영향을 미칠 것이며 본 실험에서는 가압된 용기내의 중저온 열수에서 해리하는 메탄가스 하이드레이트 펠릿의 용해특성을 연구하였다. 해리과정 중 변화하는 펠릿 형상을 관찰하고 해리 완료시간을 측정함으로써 하이드레이트 전환율, 열수 온도 및 유동속도가 해리에 미치는 영향을 파악하였으며, 펠릿 표면에서 분출되어 상승하는 메탄가스 기포류가 유발한 2 차유동이 열전달률을 증가시켜 해리 완료시간이 단축됨을 확인하였다.

러시아 연해주 지역의 한인 주거에 관한 연구 -문헌고찰과 현지 답사를 통한 1930년대 이전의 한인주거 분석 - (Study on the Dwellings of Korean Diaspora in Yunhaju of Russia pre-1930's - Focusing on Analysis of related documents and Interviewing in Yunhaju -)

  • Koreans were started moving to Yunhaju in Russia for escaping from tyrannical rule and famine in 1860's in Korea. Social and political situation of Russia were made it very hard to get to know about Korean's life there so far. But it was known that Korean Diaspora has been kept traditional way of living in without contacts between Korea for 140 years. This study examined the dwellings of Korean Diaspora in Yunhaju through reviewing related documents and records firstly and had a time to visit places which Koreans lived since 1860's for example Posyet(equation omitted), Suifen(equation omitted), Ussuriisk(equation omitted), Vladivostok(equation omitted), Partizansk(equation omitted) and took interviews with Koreans who lived there pre 1930's. Results of research were as following : 1) A first place to settle down for Koreans in Yunhaju was Posye(equation omitted) and scattered as time goes by far away from there. 2) Koreans were helping each other for living and they had their own self managing organizations in village there. 3) The villages which was made in Yunhaju by Koreans in the beginning were similar to traditional ones in Korea. 4) It was verified that dwellings which was built by Koreans in Yunhaju were similar to ones in north area in Korea. At that time lots of Korean Diaspora came from north part and they kept their own traditional way of building houses there for a long time. 5) Korean Diaspora have been kept traditional heating system ‘Ondol’ in their various types of houses until now in Yunhaju. Moreover, it is known that Russians prefer to set ‘Ondol’ in their houses recently as a very special and expensive heating system. This study would be a very good opportunity to standing out Korean history of housing in Yunhaju as well as evaluating their identification as Koreans. For this, it is needed to take more deep research in specific areas which could see more various types of housing and could compare ones between two countries.

청소년의 학업중퇴 적응과정에 대한 현실기반이론적 접근 (A Grounded Theory Approach on the School Dropout of Adolescents in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 한국의 교육제도라는 현실에 기반하여 청소년들의 학업중퇴의 경험을 분석함으로써 학업중퇴 청소년들의 경험과정과 유형을 도출하고자 했다. 이를 위해 학업중퇴 경험이 있는 만 16세-23세의 청소년 30사례를 대상으로 심층 면접했고, Strauss와 Corbin의 현실기반이론 접근을 통하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 한국 청소년들의 학업중퇴 경험은 학교라는 제도의 구속으로부터는 해방되지만 학생 신분으로서 누릴 수 있는 다양한 소속감과 혜택을 모두 상실, 포기해야 하는 모순된 경험과정으로 나타났다. 청소년들이 학교를 중퇴하는 원인으로는 자기실현욕구에서부터 학교좌절, 상처, 비행 등에 이르기까지 다양했으며 대부분 원인들이 복합적, 순차적으로 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 중퇴가 이루어지는 형식이 자발적이었는지 얼마나 이후의 생활에 대해 고민하고 준비했는지가 중요한 조건으로 나타났다. 한편, 학업 중퇴 결정을 내린 이후 과정에서는 주변의 정서적 또는 정보적 지원이 있었는지 여부에 따라 새로운 시도에 대해 적극적 또는 소극적이 될 수도 있었다. 이상에서 도출한 주요 조건에 따른 유형화를 시도한 결과, 성공적인 '자기탐구형'에서부터 지속적인 시행착오과정에 있는 '혼란형', 무조건 나오고 보자 해서 나온 '탈출형', 비행 문제도 심각한데다가 개인적, 환경적 자원도 가장 열악하여 중퇴를 계기로 더 힘든 나락으로 떨어지게 되는 '자포자기형'으로 구분되었다. 한편, 시간적 순서를 통해서 살펴본 과정 분석에서는 의미상실의 단계, 탈학교 단계, 사회적 실험과 경험의 단계, 새로운 의미부여 단계의 4단계로 이루어지는 것으로 나타났다. 논의에서는 이러한 결과를 기반으로 학업 중퇴라는 결정이 내려지기까지 그리고 이후에 어떠한 적응과정을 겪는지를 확인함으로써 각 유형에 따른 적응 과정별 원조방안에 대해 논의하였다.
