Escape distance and escape barrier are critical elements for the quantitative evaluation of escape safety. Through theoretical demonstration and modeling in precedent studies, they have been analyzed for their generality and applicability. To make more practical evaluation method, we should quantitatively analyze the influence of each barrier and escape condition on escape safety considering various barriers in escaping routes. In this study, to develop more accurate and applicable escape analysis model, we have focused on three research methods as below: First, we derived quantified function to predict various escape barriers in escaping routes by theoretical analyses of the escape barriers and conditions. Second, we substituted the derived quantified function for an evaluation tool of escape safety suggested by precedent studies. Third, we examined applicability and feasibility of the developed method by modeling with the consideration of the escape conditions and barriers.

The MONOS capacitor are fabricated to investigate the carrier trapping due to Fowler-Nordheim tunneling injection. The carrier trapping in scaled multi-dielectric(ONO) depends on the nitride and Op oxide thickness under Fowler_Nordheim tunneling injection. Carriers captured at nitride film could not escape from nitride to gate, but be captured at top oxide and nitride interface traps because of barrier height of top oxide. Therefore, it is expected that the MONOS memory devices using multi dielectric films enhance memory effect and have a long memory retention characteristic.

Traffic accidents in tunnel can lead to large traffic accidents due to narrow and dark road characteristics. Therefore, special care of the driver is required when is driving in a tunnel. However, accidents can happen at any time. In the event of an accident, a narrow road structure may lead to a second accident. Therefore, all facilities installed inside the tunnel should be allowed to minimize damage in the event of an accident. We confirmed the safety of the collision target through the action of the sedan, Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and truck when the vehicle crashed into a stairway installed on the tunnel emergency escape route, and when a concrete barrier or guard rail was installed in front of the stairway. The behavior of the vehicle has resulted in a total of three results: rollover or rollover, change of speed and angle of the vehicle after collision. The sedan and SUV were the most secure when colliding with the guardrail, but considering the truck as a whole, concrete barriers were judged to be the most suitable for minimizing damage from the first accident and reducing the risk of the second accident.

In this research, it is a basic study to investigate the population of birds using UAVs. The research area is Ardeidae species(ASP) habitat and has long-term monitoring. The purpose of the study is to compare the ASP populations which analyzed ground observational survey and UAVs imagery. We used DJI's Mavic pro and Phantom4 for this research. Before investigating the population of ASP, we measured the escape distance by the UAVs, and the escape distances of the two UAVs models were statistically significant. Such a result would be different in UAV size and rotor(rotary wing) noise. The population of ASP who analyzed the ground observation and UAVs imagery count differed greatly. In detail, the population(mean) on the ground observation was 174.9, and the UAVs was 247.1 ~ 249.9. As a result of analyzing the UAVs imagery, These results indicate that the lower the UAVs camera altitude, the higher the ASP population, and the lower the UAVs camera altitude, the higher the resolution of the images and the better the reading of the individual of ASP. And we confirmed analyzed images taken at various altitudes, the individuals of ASP was not statistically significant. This is because the resolution of the phantom was superior to that of mavic pro. Our research is fundamental compared to similar studies. However, long-term monitoring for ASP of South Korea's by ground observation is a barrier of the reliability of the monitoring result. We suggested how to use UAVs which can improve long-term monitoring for ASP habitat.

The interaction of contained oil slicks with current was investigated with a two-dimensional experimental setup in the circulating water channel facility. A vertical plate was used to contain the oils against the currents and the evolution of the oil slick, mainly focusing on the water/oil interface, was examined with an aid of a laser sheet. Two different oils - soy bean oil and diesel oil - were studied with varying the current speed (10 cm/sec to 35 cm/sec), the barrier depth (4 cm and 8 cm) and the volume of oil (2 liter to 12 liter). Different types of the interface behavior were observed according to the conditions and their mechanism was discussed based basically on the dimensional analysis. The critical speeds of two types of oil loss mechanism (entrainment failure and drainage failure) were also examined.
The optical properties of the digital-alloy $(In_{0.53}Ga_{0.47}As)_{1-z}/(In_{0.52}Al_{0.48}As)_z$ grown by molecular beam epitaxy as a function of composition z (z = 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8) have been studied using temperature-dependent photoluminescence (PL) and time-resolved PL (TRPL) spectroscopy. As the composition z increases from 0.4 to 0.8, the PL peak energy of the digital-alloy $In(Ga_{1-z}Al_z)As$ is blueshifted, which is explained by the enhanced quantization energy due to the reduced well width. The decrease in the PL intensity and the broaden FWHM with increasing z are interpreted as being due to the increased Al contents in the digital-alloy $In(Ga_{1-z}Al_z)As$ because of the intermixing of Ga and Al in interface of InGaAs well and InAlAs barrier. The PL decay time at 10 K decreases with increasing z, which can be explained by the easier carrier escape from InGaAs wells due to the enhanced quantized energies because of the decreased InGaAs well width as z increases. The emission energy and luminescence properties of the digitalalloy $(InGaAs)_{1-z}/(InAlAs)_z$ can be controlled by adjusting composition z.

We investigated a nonvolatile nanomemory element based on boron nitride nanopeapods using molecular dynamics simulations. The studied system was composed of two boron-nitride nanotubes filled Cu electrodes and fully ionized endo-fullerenes. The two boron-nitride nanotubes were placed face to face and the endo-fullerenes came and went between the two boron-nitride nanotubes under alternatively applied force fields. Since the endo-fullerenes encapsulated in the boron-nitride nanotubes hardly escape from the boron-nitride nanotubes, the studied system can be considered to be a nonvolatile memory device. The minimum potential energies of the memory element were found near the fullerenes attached copper electrodes and the activation energy barrier was $3{\cdot}579 eV$. Several switching processes were investigated for external force fields using molecular dynamics simulations. The bit flips were achieved from the external force field of above $3.579 eV/{\AA}$.
This study had targeted the Manjong Junction~Hongchun interchange section of Jungang highway in order to analyze the efficiency and improvement of the highway wild-life fences. Being analyzed wild-life fence as an effective facility for the prevention of road-kill, it had founded that the wild animals did not jump over even the two layer guardrail, concrete barrier and noise barrier, fence for rock fall. For the section with high road-kill decrease effect after installing the wild-life fence, the effect was higher at wild-life fence with the height of 1.0m where the door had not been installed and the well connected points of road facility than the area with fence height of 1.5m. The road-kill decrease effect was also high at the well managed areas even if the door has not been installed. Also, road-kill had occurred by concentrating around the end of wild-life fence after installing the fence, Moreover road-kill had also occurred around the cutting section. The door of wild-life fence had higher amount of road-kill occurrence as the installation interval was closer. it was analyzed that the door management has a lot of effect on road-kill decrease. The fence for rock fall, two layer guardrail and concrete barrier having the effect of wild-life fence installed on the road would have to be installed by connecting with wild-life fences through proper facility improvement. Although the door should not be installed if possible, it should be installed as automatic door or gravity door to prevent the door from leaving the door open. An escape route has to be formed for the prompt escape away from the road for the animals entered through the ending section of the fence. The eco-corridor has to be made by restoring the soil layer of dual purpose eco-corridor forming a planting area. Also, the dead body after the accident has to be disposed to the outer section of the road immediately in order to prevent the secondary road-kill by the predator from the road-kill. The fence has to be installed as 500m or longer in both ways, in other words 1,000m or longer, from the targeted spot of minimum accident prevention while connecting up to the bridge or box culvert, etc that are next road facilities if possible to guide wild animals safely to the eco-corridor.

For the purpose of the investigation on the selective action of trawl net, a series of fishing experiments carryed out in M. S. Pusan 402 during the years of 1986~1987, by using a set of trawl net with a few pocket nets in each part of the bagnet. The author analyzed these experimental data and derived the following results. 1. 58 species of aquatic animals were caught in totally 43 times of trawl operation and 33 species of them did not escape at all through the barrier of netting in the bagnet. 2. Sardinops melanosticta, Harengula zunasi, Thrisa kamalensis, Englausis japonicus, little size of Tracurus japonicus, Sphyraena pinguis, Trichirus lepturus, and Psenopsis anomala escaped easily through the barrier of netting after being caught inside of the codend. Especially, Englusis japonicus escaped well not only through the netting of the codend but also through the netting of the square and the baiting. 3. In the case of mesh size of 60mm in the codend, Pampus argentus, Doderleinia bercoides and Tracurus japonicus were caught all in the size of less than 10cm.
For genetic algorithms, the population may get stuck in a local optimum. The population can escape from this after a long duration. This phenomenon is called punctuated equilibrium. The punctuated equilibria observed in nature and computational ecosystems are known to be well described by diffusion equations. In this paper, simple genetic algorithms are theoretically analyzed to show that they can also be described by a diffusion equation. When fitness is the function of unitation, this analysis can be further refined to make the parameters of genetic algorithms appear in this equation. Using theoretical results on the diffusion equation, the duration of equilibrium is shown to be exponential of such parameters as population size, 1/(mutation probability), and potential barrier. This is corroborated by simulation results for bistable potential landscapes with one local optimum and one global optimum.
