사무소 건축물의 화재안전 성능 평가모델 (Performance Assessment Model for Fire Safety Protection of Office Building)

  • This study is to suggest a performance assessment model for fire safety protection of office building 34 asessment elements were chosen by interviewing with experts, reviewing several codes and existing relevant models, assessment elements included in this model are comprised of five categories which are 'performace of protected area', 'performance of fire partition', 'safety performance of fire escape', 'performace of smoke control system' and 'performace of fire fighting equipment'. The weight of each element was computed by systematic approach like an AHP (analytical hierarchy process), which was conducted by experts who work in the field of fire protection. This model would be utilized as a part of assessment model for the overall performace of domestic office building.

대면교행터널에서 배연시스템의 구축과 화재모형실험에 의한 적정성 평가 (Construction of the Smoke Exhaust System and Its Applicability by the Fire Model Test for a Bidirectional Tunnel)

  • 대면 교행 터널의 경우 차량의 교행으로 사고 위험성이 일방향 터널에 비해 1.5배 정도 높으므로 화재가 발생할 위험성도 커지게 되며, 터널내 화재시 입출구로 이용객이 대피하므로 인명 대피 완료전까지 제트팬을 가동하지 못하는 문제가 있다. 특히 장대터널의 경우 연기확산으로 인하여 대형 인명 피해가 발생하기 때문에 터널내에 별도의 인명 대피 통로와 배연 시스템을 구축하여 인명 피해를 최소화하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 화재 시뮬레이션 및 축소모형실험을 수행하여 터널내에 구축된 배연시스템의 효과를 검증하였다. 실험결과 대피 통로만 설치시는 최종 인명 대피 시간이 335초가 소요되었으나, 배연 시스템을 구축할 때는 185초가 소요되었다. 또한 화재원 부근의 온도가 $60^{\circ}C$ 정도 감소되었으며, 연기 확산 속도는 배연 시스템 미가동시 $0.36\~0.82\;m/sec$이고, 가동시는 $0.27\~0.58\;m/sec$로 현격히 감소하였다. 위 결과로부터 대피자의 이동속도가 $0.7\~1.0\;m/sec$인 점을 고려할 때, 150 m 간격으로 설치된 피난문을 통해 안전한 대피가 가능하였다. 본 연구는 배연시스템에 대한 화재모형실험 분석을 통해 향후 대면 교행 터널의 방재에 대한 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 의미가 있다.

대학생의 외적 자기가치 수반성과 물질주의의 관계: 자기 불일치, 자존감 안정성의 매개효과 (The Relationship between External Contingencies of Self-Worth and Materialism of Undergraduates: Self-Discrepancy and the Stability of Self-Esteem as Mediators)

  • 본 연구는 Donnelly 등(2016)의 물질주의 추구에 대한 도피이론을 적용하여 대학생의 물질주의 추구 과정을 경험적으로 검증하였다. 도피이론에서 제시된 6단계 중 높은 삶의 기준에 비추어 자신의 부족함을 느끼는 1단계를 외적 자기가치 수반성으로, 부족한 자신을 비난하는 2단계를 실제-이상적 자기 간 불일치로, 자신을 혐오적으로 인식하는 3단계를 낮은 자존감 안정성으로 개념화하였다. 이상의 도피이론 3단계에 따라 외적 자기가치 수반성이 자기불일치와 자존감 안정성을 매개로 물질주의를 예측할 것으로 예상하였다. 가설 확인을 위해 대학생 465명(여 262명)을 대상으로 자기보고식 설문조사를 실시하고 구조방정식 모형을 통해 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 외적 자기가치 수반성과 물질주의 간 관계에서 자기 불일치의 매개효과 및 자기 불일치와 자존감 안정성의 순차적 매개효과가 유의하였다. 물질주의에 대한 외적 자기가치 수반성의 직접효과 또한 유의하게 나타났다. 이 연구는 능력주의 한국사회에서 대학생이 물질을 좇게 되는 과정을 도피이론을 적용하여 경험적으로 밝힌 의의가 있다.

지하철 터널내의 객차 화재발생시 환기실 위치변화에 따른 화재특성의 수치적 연구 (Numerical Predictions of Fire Characteristics of Passenger Train Fire in an Underground Subway Tunnel, Depending on Change of Location of Ventilation Facility)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 지하철 터널에서 화재가 발생한 경우 역사와 환기실의 위치에 따른 화재특성을 수치적으로 분석하는데 있다. 이를 위해 피난거리, 피난시간 및 최악조건 화재가 발생한 2가지 시나리오를 선정하고, 환기실 위치 변경에 따른 시간별 화재상황에 대한 터널내의 시류 및 열환경을 분석하였다. 화재해석을 위해 FLUENT v.6.3.26을 이용하였으며, 난류모델은 표준 k-${\varepsilon}$ 모델을 사용하였다. 경우에 따른 터널 내 일산화탄소의 농도 분포, 온도분포 및 속도분포의 결과를 분석하였고 본 연구의 결과는 지하철 역사 및 터널 설계시 최적의 방재 및 환기시스템을 구축하는데 기여할 것으로 생각된다.

Wave propagation analysis of smart strain gradient piezo-magneto-elastic nonlocal beams

  • This study presents the investigation of wave dispersion characteristics of a magneto-electro-elastic functionally graded (MEE-FG) nanosize beam utilizing nonlocal strain gradient theory (NSGT). In this theory, a material length scale parameter is propounded to show the influence of strain gradient stress field, and likewise, a nonlocal parameter is nominated to emphasize on the importance of elastic stress field effects. The material properties of heterogeneous nanobeam are supposed to vary smoothly through the thickness direction based on power-law form. Applying Hamilton's principle, the nonlocal governing equations of MEE-FG nanobeam are derived. Furthermore, to derive the wave frequency, phase velocity and escape frequency of MEE-FG nanobeam, an analytical solution is employed. The validation procedure is performed by comparing the results of present model with results exhibited by previous papers. Results are rendered in the framework of an exact parametric study by changing various parameters such as wave number, nonlocal parameter, length scale parameter, gradient index, magnetic potential and electric voltage to show their influence on the wave frequency, phase velocity and escape frequency of MEE-FG nanobeams.

새로운 연령교체 방식의 개발 (On the New Age Replacement Policy)

  • Purpose: Recently, Jiang defines the tradeoff B life to minimize a sum of life lost by preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) contribution parts and sets up an optimal replacement age of age replacement policy as this tradeoff life. In this paper, Jiang's model only considering the known lifetime distribution is extended by assigning different weights to two parts of PM and CM in order to reflect the practical maintenance situations in application. Methods: The new age replacement model is formulated and the meaning of a weight factor is expressed with the implied cost of failure under asymptotic expected cost model and also discussed with one-cycle expected cost criterion. Results: The proposed model is applied to Weibull and lognormal lifetime distributions and optimum PM replacement ages are derived with corresponding implied cost of failure. Conclusion: The new age replacement policy to escape the estimation of cost of failure in classical asymptotic expected cost criterion based on the renewal process is provided.

도로터널의 화염전파해석에 관한 연구 (Study on the Analysis of Fire Propagation in Road Tunnels)

  • This paper concerns the application of smoke and fire spread to road tunnel fire problems. When a road tunnel is on fire. a fire protection system of road tunnel have to offer an adequate escape space to human. Therefore, this study carried out a simulation for predicting a spreading path of smoke and fire. The evolution of the flow field is simulated with the low Reynolds number k-$\varepsilon$ turbulent model and SIMPLE algorithm based on the finite volume method.

ECM Algorithm for Fitting of Mixtures of Multivariate Skew t-Distribution

  • Cabral et al. (2012) defined a mixture model of multivariate skew t-distributions(STMM), and proposed the use of an ECME algorithm (a variation of a standard EM algorithm) to fit the model. Their estimation by the ECME algorithm is closely related to the estimation of the degree of freedoms in the STMM. With the ECME, their purpose is to escape from the calculation of a conditional expectation that is not provided by a closed form; however, their estimates are quite unstable during the procedure of the ECME algorithm. In this paper, we provide a conditional expectation as a closed form so that it can be easily calculated; in addition, we propose to use the ECM algorithm in order to stably fit the STMM.

Towards alleviation of the digital divide and poverty through land information

  • Accesses to lands, houses, the Internet and other utilities are regarded as basic human needs to escape poverty and are required to recognize the relationships between the digital divide and socio-economical inequality. The digital divide might not be a single technical disparity, but stems from a complicated mixture of economic and socio-technical symptoms of inequality. There is growing awareness of scrutinizing causal mechanisms between the digital divide and poverty since combating poverty could be a primary step to mitigate the digital divide. In this paper, the Hexad model is proposed to explicate poverty interpretation by using 6 parameters as a major tool for partly assisting in poverty monitoring system in connection with land information. A solution model of the Internet is suggested to break the digital divide. It expounds a conceptual framework and new idea for poverty management to notify spatio-temporal locations of poor actors and geography of the digital divide when efforts of poverty eradication hinge on understandings of geographic location of digital disadvantaged groups through parcel-based land information.

CUSUM of Squares Chart for the Detection of Variance Change in the Process

  • Traditional statistical process control(SPC) assumes that consective observations from a process are independent. In industrial practice, however, observations are ofter serially correlated. A common a, pp.oach to building control charts for autocorrelatd data is to a, pp.y classical SPC to the residuals from a time series model fitted. Unfortunately, one cannot completely escape the effects of autocorrelation by using charts based on residuals of time series model. For the detection of variance change in the process we propose a CUSUM of squares control chart which does not require the model identification. The proposed CUSUM of squares chart and the conventional control charts are compared by a Monte Carlo simulation. It is shown that the CUSUM of squares chart is more effective in the presence of dependency in the processes.
