  • This study tried to identify the problems associated with the posture to be analyzed and tried to suggest guidelines for MSDs(Musculoskeletal Disorders) evaluation based on working posture. A total of 50 jobs from 3 different types of industries(electronics, hospitals, automobiles) were used for MSDs evaluation study which was done by 6 observers. Two indexes were applied to identify the problem in this study which were percentage of agreement and counter-time-error rate. Specifically, 'counter-time-error rate' represented a degree of consistency in terms of selecting the posture to be analyzed time after time. Main results of the study were as follows; 1) The average percentage of agreement for representative posture for whole body was relatively higher than that for representative postures for individual body parts, 2) The counter-time-error rate(%) has been reduced as the evaluation process has repeated for the same job. 3) The counter-time-error rate(%) for electronics, hospitals, and automobiles were 63.4%, 61.2%, and 67.3% respectively. 4) The counter-time-error rate(%) for the job with the work cycle of 0.5 to 2 minutes were lower than that of the jobs with the work cycles less than 0.5 minute or greater than 2 minute. 5) The work cycles and the number of trials had significant effects on counter-time-error rate while the types of industries did not have significant effects on counter-time-error rate. Some guidelines could be prepared from the results of the study. Probably, there should have an extension in terms of form and matter for this study in order to have more practical output.

  • The problem of fluctuation-induced digital errors in a rapid single flux quantum (RSFQ) circuit has been very important issue. So in this experiment, we calculated error rate of RSFQ switch in superconductiyity ALU, The RSFQ switch should have a very low error rate in the optimal bias. We prepared two circuits Placed in parallel. One was a 10 Josephson transmission lines (JTLs) connected in series, and the other was the same circuit but with an RSFQ switch placed in the middle of the 10 JTLs. We used a splitter to feed the same input signal to the both circuits. The outputs of the two circuits were compared with an RSFQ XOR to measure the error rate of the RSFQ switch. By using a computerized bit error rate test setup, we measured the bit error rate of 2.18$\times$$10^{12}$ when the bias to the RSFQ switch was 0.398mh that was quite off from the optimum bias of 0.6mA.

  • The high computational complexity of deep learning algorithms has led to the development of specialized hardware architectures. However, soft errors (bit flip) may occur in these hardware systems due to voltage variation and high energy particles. Many error correction methods have been proposed to counter this problem. In this work, we analyze an error correction mechanism based on repetition codes and an activation function. We test this method by injecting errors into weight filters and define an ideal error rate range in which the proposed method complements the accuracy of the model in the presence of error.

  • We present a novel flow-rate independent cell counter using a fixed control volume between double electrical sensing zones. The previous device based on the single electrical cell sensing in a given flow-rate requires an accurate fluid volume measurement or precision flow rate control. The present cell counter, however, offers the flow-rate independent method for the cell concentration measurement with counting cells in a fixed control volume of $22.9{\pm}0.98{\mu}{\ell}$. In the experimental study, using the RBC (Red Blood Cell), we have compared the measured RBC concentrations from the fabricated devices with those from Hemacytometer. The previous and present devices show the maximum errors of $20.3\%\;and\;16.1\%$, which are in the measurement error range of Hemacytometer (about $20\%$). The present device also shows the flow-rate independent performance at the constant flow-rates ($5{\mu}{\ell}/min$ and $10{\mu}{\ell}/min$) and the varying flow-rate (4, 2, and $4{\mu}{\ell}/min$). Therefore, we demonstrate that the present cell counter is a simple and automated method for the cell concentration measurement without requiring an accurate fluid measurement and precision flow-rate control.

  • This report describes CRDCM(Counter Rotating DC Motor) that we have designed, manufactured and tested. CRDCM have two rotating rotors: one is a outer rotor as field set, another is a inner rotor as armature set. One of the most difficult problem is an elimination of the centrifugal force acting on brush when outer rotor is rotated. We solved a problem for centrifugal force of commutation brush by compensation set of counter mass through trial and error. It was verified the performance of motor at present.

  • Combined with a counter, wheel or strip encoders which have equally divided markers are one of frequent measuring choices towards various applications in terms of cost, simplicity, and diversity of measurements, e.g., measuring displacement, velocity, acceleration, and so on. Often, velocity is measured by counting the series of reference clocks for a period of time which sensor-carrying device took for traveling two adjacent encoding markers. Quantizaion error of such that the disturbance caused by quantization error is under control. This paper identifies design issues, developes theory, and proposes a paradigm to design a velocity measurement system such ...

  • The synchronous TDC(Time-to-Digital Converter) of counter-type using current-conveyor is designed by $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process and the supply voltage is 3 volts. In order to compensate the disadvantage of a asynchronous TDC the clock is generated when the start signal is applied and the clock is synchronized with the start signal. In the asynchronous TDC the error range of digital output is from $-T_{CK}$ to $T_{CK}$. But the error range of digital output is from 0 to $T_{CK}$ in the synchronous TDC. The error range of output is reduced by the synchronization between the start signal and the clock when the timing-interval signal is converted to digital value. Also the structure of the synchronous TDC is simple because there is no the high frequency external clock. The operation of designed TDC is confirmed by the HSPICE simulation.

  • CAN bus in automotive applications does not assign node addresses. When a node is hacked and it transmits malicious data frame, it is difficult to resolve which node is hacked. However, this CAN bus internal attack seriously threatens the safety of a car, so a prompt counterattack is necessary in the CAN bus physical layer. This paper proposes a counterattack method against malicious CAN bus internal attack. When a malicious data frame is detected, an intrusion detection system in the CAN bus increases the error counter of the malicious node. Then, the malicious node is off from the bus when its error counter exceeds its limit. A CAN controller with the proposed method is implemented in Verilog HDL, and the proposed method is proved to counterattack against malicious CAN bus internal attack.

  • The typical hydraulic system of hoist is composed of a hydraulic supply unit, a directional control valve, counter balance valve, and flow control valves. The flow capacity coefficients of flow control valves should be adjusted so that the hoist is operated at moderate speed and the hydraulic energy loss is minimized. However, it is difficult to adjust the flow coefficients of flow control valves by trial and error for optimal operation. Here, the steady state model of the hoist hydraulic system including the differential cylinder circuit is derived and the optimal flow capacity coefficients of flow control valves are obtained using the complex method that is one kind of constrained direct search method.

  • The chemical factory deals with dangerous element and more advance, human-error analyzes and becomes effective research for the country and region. This paper analysis the form of work-miss on human-error according to a safety accident for domestic chemical factory from 1999-2002. It include the present contents and raise issues human knowledge, behavior, judgment, sensibility as an important counter plan that makes the safety solution of work miss. For the point of view of human knowledge, it takes color standard for works to be effective in work place. For behavior, the test has been for risk Point of work place and infra worker movement, also the workers performed professional work as classify according to work. For judgement, the valuation sheet is reflected to minimize the human-error and the 3rd supervisor does a cross-check audit beforehand. For sensibility, it is applicable for human relations, information, communication by program to the consciousness and an attitude of worker-supervisor.
