  • Adaptive algorithm used in Acoustic Echo Canceller (AEC) needs fast convergence algorithm when reference signal is colored speech signal. Set-Membership Affine Projection (SMAP) algorithm is derived from the constraint, which is the minimum value adaptive filter coefficient error. In this paper, we test the characteristic about noise of the SMAP algorithm and proposed modified version of SMAP algorithm fur using at AEC. As the projection order increase, the convergence characteristic of the SMAP algorithm is improved where no noise space. But if the noise uncorrelated with input signal exists, the AEC shows bad performance. In this paper, we propose normalized version of adaptive constants using estimated error signal for robust to noise and show the good performance through AEC simulation.

  • This paper deals with thermal characteristic analysis of induction motors for machine tool spindle for motion error prediction. Firstly, the inverse design of general induction motors for machine tool spindle has been performed by design principles. Characteristics considering VVVF inverter of induction motors were analyzed. Secondary, power loss and thermal characteristics of induction motors analyzed by equivalent thermal resistance model from Motor-CAD S/W. To develop a second-order fitted power-loss distribution model for the constant-torque operating range of the induction motor, we employed the design of experiment and response surface methodology techniques. Finally, the analysis results were experimentally verified, and the validity of the proposed analysis method was confirmed.

  • Most of FLC received input data from error e and change-of-error e' with no relation with system complexity. Basic scheme follows typical PD and PI or PID Controller and that has been developed through fixed ME In this paper, We studied the relationship between MF and system response and system response through changing Fuzzy variable of consequence MF and propose the simple FLC using this relationship. The response of FLC is changed according to the width of Fuzzy variable of consequence MF. As changing the Fuzzy variable of consequence MF shows various nonlinear characteristic, we studied the relation between response and MF using analytical method. We designed the effective FLC using three-variable MF and nine rules and took simulation for verification. In this study, we propose the method to design system with FLC in stability point which is an impotent characteristic of designing system. The circle criterion which is adapted to analysis the nonlinear system is put to use for proposed method. Since SISO FLC has a time-invariant and odd characteristic we can use the critical point not disk which is generally used to determine the stability in the circle criterion, to determine the stability. Using this, we can get the maximum critical point plot of SISO FLC with changing the consequence fuzzy variables. The predetermined critical point plot of FLC can be used to decide the region of the system to be stable. This method is effectively used to design the SISO FLC.

  • In recent years, large volumes of data are transferred between a computer system and various subsystems through digital logic circuits and interconnected wires. And there always exist potential errors when data are transferred due to electrical noise, device malfunction, or even timing errors. In general, parity checking circuits are usually employed for detection of single-bit errors. However, it is not sufficient to enhance system reliability and availability for efficient error detection. It is necessary to detect and further correct errors up to a certain level within the affordable cost. In this paper, we report a generation of 3-distance code using the characteristic matrix of a PBCA.

  • A recently developed spatial differencing scheme, Linear Characteristic (LC) scheme is compared with some traditionally used schemes such as Step Difference (SD), Diamond Difference (DD), and Step Characteristic (SC) scheme by analyzing the truncation error calculated numerically in slab geometry. Those four candidate schemes are applied to one simple source sink problem and two criticality problems (one is calculation of multiplication factor and the other is slab critical half thickness). The calculated results are then examined by some equitable measures of error. It is concluded that the LC scheme is terribly more powerful than any other candidate scheme that has been prevalent up to the present time. Moreover, the LC scheme estimates integral parameter such as multiplication factor and critical half thickness much more efficiently than SD or SC scheme. This is due to the fact that the fortuitous error cancellation, which occurs when the deviations of cell average flux are summed over the whole gamut of spatial meshes, happens much more favorably to the LC scheme.

  • In this paper, we proposed error-reducing method to source or measure a current or voltage for LED in the I-V characteristic analysis system using a digital signal processor (DSP). this method has the advantage of reducing a non-linear circuit error and random error. random error can be reduced using recursive averaging technique and non-linear circuit error can be reduced using 2rd polynomial regression calibration parameters fitting with measured sample data. it corrects measured error of IR, VR, VF1, VF2, VF3 of LED using calibration parameters. experimental results show that can be performed with about 0.017~0.043% accuracy.

  • In this paper, a numerical programming for Liapunov index of differential equations with periodic coefficients depending on parameters is given. The associated equations are given at first, then existence of periodic solutions to the associated equations is proved in this paper. And we compute periodic solution u(t) of the associated equations. Finally, we give the error of approximate calculation.

  • An adequate method for the prediction of machining errors is essential to improve productivity and product quality. But it is known that there is a remarkable difference between values calculated by conventional roughness model and measured values of actual machined surfaces under high efficient cutting condition. This paper introduces the theoretical analysis of characteristic lines of cut remainder to evaluate a geometrical surface roughness accurately. In this study, analytic equations of the characteristic lines are derived from the surface generation mechanism of ball end milling considering the actual trochoidal trajectories of cutting edges. The predicted results are compared with the results of conventional roughness model.

  • An aerostatic stage has frictionless behavior, so it has a advantage of investigation into driven mechanism such as ballscrew. In this paper, fur investigating positioning characteristic of ballscrew and feedback device in aerostatic stage, we compare the positioning characteristic between full-closed(laser scale) and semi-closed(encoder) system. Experimental results show that the aerostatic stage has a 10nm micro step response and repeatability is improved up to 1.00${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ using laser scale. We confirm the laser scale compensate error motion of ballscrew, so acquire 1.12${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ positioning accuracy.
