다중 대역 슬롯형 DGS와 등가 회로 모델 (Multi-Band Rejection Slot-Shaped DGS and Its Equivalent Circuit Model)

  • 본 논문에서는 단일 DGS를 사용하여 다중의 주파수 대역을 억압할 수 있는 슬롯형 DGS를 제안하였다. 제안된 구조는 동일 평면 도파관 전송 선로(CPW: Coplanar Waveguide)의 접지 면에 서로 다른 크기의 맴돌이 형태의 슬롯 DGS들을 신호 선에 대하여 횡축으로 삽입하여, 다중 주파수 대역을 억압할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 제안된 구조를 제작하였으며, 시뮬레이션 결과와 측정된 결과가 상당 부분 일치하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 제안된 구조에 대한 등가 회로 모델을 제시하였다. 제안된 등가 회로는 접지 면에 위치한 DGS를 LC 공진기들로 표현하였으며, 이러한 공진기들이 신호선과 자기적으로 결합한 것으로 모델링 하였다. 등가 회로를 해석하여 다중의 공진 주파수 특성이 나타남을 확인하였다.

등가 구형입자를 이용한 DEM에서의 골재 슬럼프 실험 모사 (Simulation of Aggregate Slump Test Using Equivalent Sphere Particle in DEM)

  • PURPOSES: Simulation of aggregate slump test using equivalent sphere particle in DEM and its validity evaluation against lab aggregate slump test METHODS : In this research, aggregate slump tests are performed and compared with DEM simulation. To utilize spheric particles in YADE, equivalent sphere diameter concept is applied. As verification measures, the volume in slump cone filled with aggregate is used and it is compared with volume in slump cone filled with equivalent sphere particle. Slump height and diameter are also used to evaluate the suggested numerical method with equivalent concept RESULTS : Simulation test results show good agrement with lab test results in terms of loose packing volume, height and diameter of slumped particle clump. CONCLUSIONS : It is concluded that numerical simulation using DEM is applicable to evaluate the effect of aggregate morphological property in loose packing and optimum gradation determination based on the aggregate slump test simulation result.

유비쿼터스 서비스를 위한 서비스 지향 센서 네트워크 온톨로지 (Service-Oriented Wireless Sensor Networks Ontology for Ubiquitous Services)

  • 본 논문은 미래의 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅에서 지식 데이터 베이스로 활용될 수 있는 서비스 지향 무선센서 네트워크 온톨로지 모델을 설계한다. 기존의 접근방식과 달리 본 논문은 사용자 중심의 서비스가 가능하도록 서비스 항목에 초점을 두고, 새로운 서비스 클래스(ServiceProperty, LocationProperty, PhysicalProperty)들과 이들에 대한 속성, 그리고 제한사항들을 정의하였다. 또한 기존 온톨로지(GML, SWE, SensorML, SUMO, OntoSensor)들과의 병합은 서비스항목들만을 고려하여 OWL의 오브젝트 프로퍼티인 "equivalentClass"을 사용하여 처리하였다. 제안된 모델의 설계와 타당성 검증은 각각 Protege 3.3.1과 추론 도구인 Racer 1.9.0을 이용하였으며, SPARQL 질의어를 사용하여 기존 온톨로지 내의 속성과 관계없이 새롭게 정의된 속성을 사용한 서비스 검색 결과를 제시하였다.

Fatigue property analysis of U rib-to-crossbeam connections under heavy traffic vehicle load considering in-plane shear stress

  • In this study, the fatigue property of U rib-to-crossbeam connections in orthotropic steel bridge (OSB) crossbeams under heavy traffic vehicle load was investigated considering the effects of in-plane shear stress. The applicability of an improved structural stress (ISS) method was validated for the fatigue behavior analysis of nonwelded arc-shaped cutout regions in multiaxial stress states. Various types of fatigue testing specimens were compared for investigating the equivalent structural stress, fatigue crack initiation positions, and failure modes with the unified standards. Furthermore, the implications of OSB crossbeams and specified loading cases are discussed with respect to the improved method. The ISS method is proven to be applicable for analyzing the fatigue property of nonwelded arc-shaped cutout regions in OSB crossbeams. The used method is essential for gaining a reliable prediction of the most likely failure modes under a specific heavy traffic vehicle load. The evaluated results using the used method are proven to be accurate with a slighter standard deviation. We obtained the trend of equivalent structural stress in arc-shaped cutout regions and validated the crack initiation positions and propagation directions by comparing them with the fatigue testing results. The implications of crossbeam spans on fatigue property are less significant than the effects of crossbeams.

ON SOME GENERALIZATIONS OF THE REVERSIBILITY IN NONUNITAL RINGS

  • This paper is intended as a discussion of some generalizations of the notion of a reversible ring, which may be obtained by the restriction of the zero commutative property from the whole ring to some of its subsets. By the INCZ property we will mean the commutativity of idempotent elements of a ring with its nilpotent elements at zero, and by ICZ property we will mean the commutativity of idempotent elements of a ring at zero. We will prove that the INCZ property is equivalent to the abelianity even for nonunital rings. Thus the INCZ property implies the ICZ property. Under the assumption on the existence of unit, also the ICZ property implies the INCZ property. As we will see, in the case of nonunital rings, there are a few classes of rings separating the class of INCZ rings from the class of ICZ rings. We will prove that the classes of rings, that will be discussed in this note, are closed under extending to the rings of polynomials and formal power series.

등가물성을 이용한 복합재 이탈피의 구조해석 (Analysis of Composite Sabot Structure using Equivalent Properties)

  • This paper deals with the analysis of composite sabot of APFSDS projectile. Unlike conventional composite parts, the sabot is composed of thick-sectioned lamination, and thus requires 3-dimensional properties in the analysis. In this study, a model was formulated to calculate the equivalent composites properties. The equivalent properties were then used in the finite element analysis and the results were compared with those by the full 3-dimensional analysis with ply-by-ply modeling. The results generally agreed with each other in the bound of 20% error, indicating that the formulated model produced the equivalent properties with reasonable accuracy. It was thought to be an efficient approach to use the model in global analysis and then perform the full 3-dimensional analysis in regions of interest for detailed evaluation in designing the composite sabot structure.

  • In this paper the method of modeling and optimization for the joint of the vehicle structure is proposed. First it is described that the method of substituting equivalent beam elements to spring elements for the joint. The stiffnesses of the spring elementsare calculated using the section properties of equivalent beam elements. To get required dynamic characteristics section properties of equivalent beam element are set to design variables and optimized. The study shows that joint stiffnesses can be effectively determined in designing vehicle structure.

진동-음향 상반 원리에 이용되는 음원의 유효 면적 측정 (The Application of Equivalent Area to the Volume Velocity for Using the Vibro-acoustical Reciprocity)

  • This paper proposes a feasible and effective method for measuring the mechanical-acoustic transfer function by the application of equivalent area and velocity transfer function, a manifestation of the vibro-acoustical reciprocity principle. On the contrary to the volume velocity used in traditional method, the equivalent area is a peculiar raidation characteristics of sound sources and not influenced by any input signal for driving sound source. This invariant property of equivalent area can get rid of boresome works to measure the volume velocity of a sound source every time the driving signal is changed. Moreover, this method has a remarkable advantage to use a general loudspeaker as an accoustic exciter without the assumption of point source and can be applied to all kinds of sound sources even if they are not omni-directional sources.

  • For the real-time power system analysis, there exists a limitation to the scale of the system to be simulated, hence it is necessary for the real-time simulation to develop reduced equivalent systems which preserve the desired property of the original system. In this paper, a procedure for developing an equivalent system whose scale is reduced within the hardware capacity of a real-time simulator is proposed. Also, the proposed procedure is applied to a KEPCO's system. The comparison between the original system and equivalent systems illustrates the capabilities of the proposed procedure.

한국기업의 해외시장에서의 위조상품 대응전략에 관한 연구 (Korean Firms' Intellectual Property Rights Protection Strategies to Deter Counterfeiting and Brand Piracy in Global Markets)

  • Recently, there has been rapid and spectacular increase in world wide counterfeiting and other forms of piracy. According to the World Customs Organization(WCO), counterfeiting accounts for 5 to 7 percent of global merchandise trade, equivalent to lost sales of as much as US$512 billion last year. Also Korean firms' damages arising from the infringement of intellectual property rights in global markets, especially in China market, are increasing. However, the existing studies on the intellectual property rights(IRP) protection have mainly focused on legal protection. Because the law is often not the best defense against theft of intellectual property rights, we must develop more effective defensive weapons for protection of IRP. Given this troublesome trend, the intention of this paper is to discuss strategic and tactical efforts, including legal protection, that can serve as proactive measures to deter counterfeiting and thus to assure the protection of Korean firms' intellectual property rights.
