Improved Characteristic Analysis of a 5-phase Hybrid Stepping Motor Using the Neural Network and Numerical Method

  • This paper presents an improved characteristic analysis methodology for a 5-phase hybrid stepping motor. The basic approach is based on the use of equivalent magnetic circuit taking into account the localized saturation throughout the hybrid stepping motor. The finite element method(FEM) is used to generate the magnetic circuit parameters for the complex stator and rotor teeth and airgap considering the saturation effects in tooth and poles. In addition, the neural network is used to map a change of parameters and predicts their approximation. Therefore, the proposed method efficiently improves the accuracy of analysis by using the parameter characterizing localized saturation effects and reduces the computational time by using the neural network. An improved circuit model of 5-phase hybrid stepping motor is presented and its application is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 슬롯 결한 마이크로스트립라인-도파관 천이기에 대해 간략하지만 정확한 등가 회로 모델을 추출하기 위한 해석 방법을 제안한다. 이 등가회로는 이상적 변압기, 마이크로스트립 개방 스터브, 그리고 슬롯 중심에서 도파관 쪽과 급전선 쪽 반평면으로 바라보는 각각의 어드미턴스들로 구성된다. 관련된 회로 변수 값들은 가역 정리 (Reciprocity theorem), 푸리에 변환과 푸리에 급수(Fourier transform and series), 복소 전력 개념(Complex power concept), 파스발 정리(Parceval's theorem), 그리고 스펙트럼 영역 이미턴스 접근법(Spectral-domain immittance approach)에 의해 계산된다. 계산된 산란계수 값을 측정된 값과 비교하였으며 이들 사이의 상당한 일치도는 제안된 등가회로 모델의 간편성과 정확성을 뒷받침한다.

  • 회로 전송선 배선 시 신호선은 직선의 형태와 방향을 바꾸기 위한 구부러지는 형태를 가진다. 차동 신호선의 정확한 등가회로는 이러한 전송선 구조의 시 공간 영역에서의 신호적 특성과 인접 신호선들 간의 영향을 평가할 수 있게 해준다. 이를 위해 기존의 몇 몇 CAD Tool들이 등가 회로 모델과 그 파라미터 값들을 추출 해주기도 하지만, 이는 큰 연산량과 시간을 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 구부러진 차동 신호선의 등가회로를 모델링하기 위해 기본적 모델인 RLC-모델의 파라미터 값을 유전 알고리듬을 이용하여 추출하는 방법을 제시한다. 본 방법에 의해 더욱 빠르게 물리적 구조를 갖는 차동 신호선의 등가회로를 모델링 할 수 있다.

  • 인버터로 구동되는 측정을 일반적인 상용전원에서 널리 이용되고 있는 T형 등가회로를 이용하여 고정자 저항 실험, 무부하 및 구속 실험 등을 통하여 산정하였으며, 토크 특성 및 전류 측정은 스트레인 게이지(strain gage) 및 홀 센서(hall sensor)블 이용하였다. 1마력 3상농형 유도전동기를 실험에 이용하였으며 실험 측정값의 유효성을 입증하기 위하여 공장 설계값과 비교하였다.

  • This paper presents the calculation method for the equivalent-circuit parameters and torque characteristics of squirrel-cage induction motors. The measurement of motor parameters were calculated by the stator resistance test, the blocked rotor test and no load test to T type equivalent-circuit. Especially, this paper describes the test results obtained by using hall sensor and strain gauge for the current and torque characteristics of induction motors. Three-phase squirrel-cage induction motor which has 1[hp] was used to the test and the parameters obtained by the test were compared with the maker parameters.

Extraction of Passive Device Model Parameters Using Genetic Algorithms

  • The extraction of model parameters for embedded passive components is crucial for designing and characterizing the performance of multichip module (MCM) substrates. In this paper, a method for optimizing the extraction of these parameters using genetic algorithms is presented. The results of this method are compared with optimization using the Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) algorithm used in the HSPICE circuit modeling tool. A set of integrated resistor structures are fabricated, and their scattering parameters are measured for a range of frequencies from 45 MHz to 5 GHz. Optimal equivalent circuit models for these structures are derived from the s-parameter measurements using each algorithm. Predicted s-parameters for the optimized equivalent circuit are then obtained from HSPICE. The difference between the measured and predicted s-parameters in the frequency range of interest is used as a measure of the accuracy of the two optimization algorithms. It is determined that the LM method is extremely dependent upon the initial starting point of the parameter search and is thus prone to become trapped in local minima. This drawback is alleviated and the accuracy of the parameter values obtained is improved using genetic algorithms.

  • Chuas circuit is a simple electronic network which exhibits a variety of bifurcation and attractors. The circuit consists of two capacitors, an inductor, a linear resistor, and a nonlinear resistor. In this paper, a transmitter and a receiver using two identical Chuas circuits are proposed and synchronizations of a equivalent wire and wireless power line are investigated. Since the synchronization of the equivalent wire and wireless system is impossible by coupled synchronization, theory having both the drive-response and the coupled synchronization is proposed. As a result, the chaos synchronization has delay characteristics in the equivalent wire and wireless transmission system caused by the line parameters L and C.

  • An inverter-fed induction is driven by a harmonic voltage source so that it is necessary to be analysed by time-stepping F.E.M. But it takes so long time that disadvantageous to design. This paper presents a simple analysis method for inverter-fed induction motor using FEM and harmonic equivalent circuit. First, the rotor bar resistance and the leakage reactance are determinated by FEA for 1 slot region in rotor to consider the skin effect and the saturation. Secondly, the characteristic of the motor is analyzed by the harmonic equivalent circuits consisting of the obtained parameters from the FEA. This method is carried out to analyze an induction motor driven by the sinusoidal voltage and the inverter. The results are verified by comparing with those of the time-step F.E.A and the experiment.

  • In this study capacitance and dielectric loss factor were measured with low-voltage signal and the simulation of equivalent circuits for the data was conducted. As the result it was shown that the equivalent circuit model considered the grain-boundary structure with semiconducting layer, dielectric layer and depletion layer was well approximated with the observed data. Various parameters were determined by a optimum curve-fitting method and could be used to analyze the characteristics of varistor. It also seems that the proposed equivalent circuit model will be adopted for other BL type varistors.
