Usability Evaluation Procedure for the Agricultural Equipments in Local Agricultural Task Environment

  • Objective: to improve agricultural working environment using tools and equipments. Background: most existing tools currently used, in fact, are discrepant from human factor guidelines so that they are still exposed to the musculoskeletal disease. Method: the provided tools and equipments are mostly designed considering human factor engineering or usability engineering in a way to avoid musculoskeletal disease. Results: propose the top-down procedure and usability engineering steps to evaluate them for the system design suitability. Conclusion: apply them conveniently into rural environment to help farmers working environment.

  • This study has evaluated the analysis results for the under structure of Korean tilting train(TTX). TTX has many equipments which are attached below the composite carbody. Loads due to equipments on the under structure are very complex and various types as operating condition. So applied loads are considered weight of equipments and acceleration. From the analysis, the structural safety of under structure was assessed.

  • The aim of this analysis is to verify the electrical compatibility of the interfaces which exist between COMS(Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite) AOCS(Attitude Orbit Control Subsystem) equipments and external equipments. For each interface, this study checked the compatibility between equipments for the power links, commands, digital telemetry, analog telemetry and failure condition. In addition with this interface compatibility verification, this study outputs the electrical and manufacturing constraints to be applied at harness level.

  • For 21th Century, the assignment of power distribution will be the expansion of equipments to supply electric power and harmony with its environment, in process of approving value consciousness of land, space, and the preservation of surroundings. This paper proposes a plan to match with the requirement about equipments, having ability to supply electric power, being harmonized itself with its surroundings by applying a general concept of "Amenity" when we choose an established form of power distribution.

  • Recently, the electronic circuit with microprocessor based control system instead of conventional analog circuit is widely used for rolling stock, and also these circuits are widely adopted for train control and monitoring in modem rapid transit system. Noise, distortion and attenuation are always present in electronic equipments and strictly limit performance. The purpose of this paper is to propose noise reduction technology for electronic equipments in rolling stock.

  • This paper describes a numerical model for the short-term operation strategy of the cogeneration systems. Especially this paper considered various auxiliary equipments used for the effective operation of cogeneration system. Minimum daily operation costs of topping cycle are calculated by using LP. Simulation results of some cases are analyzed and compared each other. Through these simulations the validity of the proposed model considered various auxiliary equipments is verified.

  • The annual air pollution emissions from construction and agricultural equipments were estimated from 1987 through 2000. The annual numbers and operation hours of 5 major construction equipments (Excavator, Bulldozer, Loader, Fork lift, Crane) and 3 major agricultural equipments (Power Tiller, Agricultural Tractor, Combine) were investigated for emission estimation. And monthly variation factors of operation hours of construction equipment were investigated too. The NO$_{x}$ emission from construction equipment have been gradually increased since 1987 to 1997, but sharply decreased as -45% in 1998 due to economic crisis in Korea. The NO$_{x}$ emission was estimated as 64,300 ton/year from construction equipment, and as 23,300 ton/year from agricultural equipment in 2000.000.

  • In distribution system about 5% of total outage is due to the lightning stroke. In order to reduce the rate of outage occurrence, distribution lightning protection equipments such as a secondary arrester, arching horn and various ground electrodes are developed and installed in the inside and outside of the county. Therefore it is needed to construct the test facilities to analyze the effect of these equipments. In this paper we describe the main content of the test facilities of lightning protection equipments. We have completed the field test of distribution lightning protection equipments for example lightning arrester, secondary arrester and arching horn etc.

  • There has presently been made impressional progress in the data communications and communication equipment market throughout the industry. Especially the CALS(Commerce At Light Speed) that is currently rising domestically, clearly shows the changes In the communication market in the near future. This will also apply to medical equipments where there will be significant progress in communications between medical equipments or through present network system. We will show how these communication equipments can be applied to the equipments we are designing, and how these application can be used.
