  • EES System support to maximize equipment efficiency by providing real-time information of main equipment which has a significant effect on product quality and productivity, and to prevent equipment failure by detecting equipment abnormality in advance. Smart Equipment Engineering System(S-EES) integrates the activities performed at equipment that are the core of production activities and manages them by system so as to maximize the efficiency of equipment and raise the quality level of products to one level. In other words, when the product is put into the equipment, the recipe is downloaded through the RMS, the recipe is set to the optimal condition through R2R(process control), and the system detects and controls the abnormality of the equipment during operation through the FDC function in real time it means. In this way, we are working with the suitable recipe that matches the lot of product, detecting the abnormality of the equipment during operation, preventing the product from being defective, and establishing a system to maximize the efficiency through real-time equipment management. In this study, we review the present status and problems of equipment management in actual production lines, collect the requirements of the manufacturing line for the PCB line, design and develop the system, The measurement model was studied.

  • In this paper we design and implement a new Hybrid Equipment Data Acquisition System (HEDAS) for data collection of semiconductor and optoelectronic manufacturing equipments in the equipment engineering system(EES) framework. The amount of the data collected from equipments have increased rapidly in equipment engineering system. The proposed HEDAS efficiently handles a large amount of real-time equipment data generated from EES framework. It also can support the real-time ESS applications as well as non real-time ESS applications. For the real-time EES applications, it performs high-speed real-time processing that uses continuous query and filtering techniques based on memory buffers. The HEDAS can optionally store non real-time equipment data using a HEDAS-based database or a traditional DBMS-based database. In particular, The proposed HEDAS offers the compression indexing based on the timestamp of data and query processing technique saving the cost of disks storage against extremely increasing equipment data. The HEDAS is efficient system to collect huge real-time and non real-time equipment data and transmit the collected equipment data to several EES applications in EES framework.

  • This study deals with replacement analysis of deteriorated equipment for improving productivity of production system. Frequent breakdown of the deteriorated equipment causes a situation that reduces productivity such as low product quality, process delay, and repair cost. However, the replacement of new equipment will be required a high initial investment cost, so it is important to analysis the economic feasibility. Therefore, we analyze the effect of the production system due to the aging effect of the equipment and the feasibility of equipment replacement based on the economic analysis. The process flow, working time, logistics movement, etc. are analyzed in order to build the simulation modeling for a ship and land switchboard production system. Using numerical examples, the economic feasibility analysis of equipment replacement through replacement of existing deteriorated equipment and additional arrangement of new facilities is performed.

  • The cost needed to managing equipment is constantly increasing because of increase of power equipment. The regulations such as PAS 55 and ISO 55000 were enacted to manage equipment assets. The advanced management methods such as real-time monitoring, condition evaluation, and health indices are avalable in generation system, transmission system, and substation transformers. However, These methods can not be applied to distribution equipment because of a lot of equipment. Therefore reliability assessment is very important in case of distribution equipment. In this paper, failure rates are extracted considering characteristics of regions, and which are the essential factors to reliability evaluation.

  • While industrial development as many buildings were builted, amount of energy consume in building also increase rapidly. At this point be tormented the energy depletions are big problem on the rise. The development of renewable energy in trying to resolve the fundamental problem that the technical level is still incomplete. Because of this, reduce energy use in buildings to lot of study. Most of the energy involved in building mechanical system for so many research is continue. Among them, be interested in building mechanical system. Building mechanical system is configured Air conditioning, sanitation, urban (environmental) equipment. In the design of equipment, installation, maintenance, applies to all devices in the field of industrial equipment and general engineering equipment field are within bounds to say that all of the equipment field. • Plant, civil engineering and construction equipment data of overseas construction are obtained and then analyzed, classified and integrated by experts. With those refined data set, we built classification system and defined property information with reference to international standard (ISO 15926, IRDL). If class in ISO 15926 is predefined for equipment of interest, we used the class as is. If not, we created and defined new classes on the basis of ISO 15926 classes. If there is similar class for equipment of interest, extension or inheritance methods were used. As a result, classification system of five levels and 637 classes were built and construction equipment information were expressed in open structure of XML such as tree structure of classification system and detailed information with number equipments for each specific equipment. We also developed the electronic catalog system which is basically equipment information management system providing various product search functions.

  • Manufacturing companies' cost competitiveness with respect to equipment management can be achieved by satisfying additional market demands by their own capacity without purchasing additional equipments. In essence, it can be accomplished by making continuous investigation into bottlenecks and improvement on them. Therefore, equipment performance measure systems should be designed so that they can support manufacturing companies' such endeavors. With the purpose of establishing an effective equipment performance measurement system for detecting and improving bottlenecks, this study (1) suggests some desirable features that such a system should have, (2) evaluates conventional equipment performance measurement systems in terms of their usefulness for the detection and improvement of bottlenecks, and (3) proposes an improved system. We also perform a simulation experiment to demonstrate the limitations of the conventional systems and show how the proposed system can resolve the problems.

  • It is necessary to construct equipment catalog in ship outfitting design and offshore plant design. The three-dimensional CAD data of equipment take on different level-of-detail depending on the purpose. Equipment suppliers provide CAD data with high complexity while ship designers need CAD data with low complexity. Therefore, it is necessary to simplify CAD data. However, it takes much time to simplify them manually. To resolve the issue, a system for automatically simplifying the 3D CAD data of equipment was developed. This paper presents the architecture of the system and the implementation details. In addition, experiment result using the prototype system is explained.
