In this paper, the new modulation system, the digital phase-frequency hybrid modulation system is proposed for mobile radio communications. The error rate and the outage equation of PFSK(Phase-Frequency Shift Keying) signal transmitted through the fading channel has been derived considiering deversity techniques. The error rate and the outgae rate performances of PFSK system have been evaluated and shown in figures in terms of carrier-to-noise power ratio(CNR), fading figure, numbers of diversity branches, correlation coefficient among the diversity branches. And the performance of PFSK system is superior to that of QDPSK system. And by using diversity techniques, system performances can be improved 13dB above in CNR.

Wheat is mainly composed of carbohydrate but it contains a moderate amount of protein, which gives a very useful characteristics to flour food such as the unique elasticity and stickiness of the dough. We developed a calibration equation for analyzing crude protein content using Near Infrared Spectroscopy to quick analyze the crude protein content of wheat germplasm stored in the National Agrobiodiversity Center, RDA, Korea. The 1,798 wheat germplasms were used to draw up the calibration formula. The crude protein's interval distribution of 1,798 wheat germplasms used for the calibration was 7.04-20.84%, the average content was 13.2%, and standard deviation was 2.6%. The germplasms distribution was composed of a suitable group for the preparation of the calibration formula because the content distribution was a normal, excluding the 13.0-15.5% content section. In order to verify the applicability of the NIRS prediction model, we measured the crude protein content of the 300 wheat germplasms that were not used for the calibration using both Kjeldahl analysis and NIR spectrum. The analysis value calculated using each method were statistically processed, and the test results and statistical indicators of the predictive model were compared. As a result, The R2 value of the optimized NIRS prediction model was 0.997, and the Standard error of Calibration value(SEC) was 0.132, and slope value was 1.000. With prediction model selection, compared to Kjeldahl method, R2 values were 0.994(Kjeldahl), 0.998(NIRS), and the SEC value were 0.191 and 0.132, respectively, comparing the statistical indices of the forecast model. And slope value were 1.013, 1.000, respectively. The analysis of crude protein content by the NIRS predictive model developed by each statistical index showing similar figures is judged to show a high degree of correlation with the Kjeldahl analysis. The proven calibration equation will be used to measure the crude protein content of wheat germplasms held by the National Agrobiodiversity Center, and by dividing the wheat germplasms by their use according to the crude protein content, it will provide useful information to relevant researchers.
The differential equation governing both the free vibrations and buckling loads of tapered beam-columns of regular polygon cross-section with constant volume were derived and solved numerically. The parabolic and sinusoidl tapers were chosen as the variable depth of cross-section for the tapered beam-column. In numerical examples, the clamped-clamped, hinged-clamped and hinged-hinged end constraints were considered. The variations of frequency parameters and first buckling load parameters with the non-dimensional system parameters are reported in figures, and typical vibrating mode shapes are presented. Also, the configurations of strongest columns were determined.
The kinematic and diffusion models using simplified momentum equations of the full dynamic equation have been frequently used for numerical flow simulations, because they have several computational advantages compared to the full dynamic model. In this paper, the more generally acceptable application ranges of the kinematic and diffusion finite difference models were investigated based on three major parameters, which are channel bed slopes So, dimensionless depth increasing numbers Gw at upstream boundary and Froude numbers Fr. The applicable ranges were obtained by comparing the relative magnitudes of the local acceleration, convective acceleration, pressure, gravity and friction terms in the full dynamic equation. In the simulations, a Courant number of 0.5 was used and the channel bed slopes were changed from 0.00001 to 0.05. Also, Froude numbers of 0.1, 0.5 and 0.9 were employed. In this paper, it is indicated that the applicable ranges of kinematic models are increased with increasing of Froude numbers. However, the applicable ranges of diffusion models are decreased with increasing of Froude numbers. Finally, 9 figures were proposed as a guideline in the application of kinematic and diffusion finite difference models based upon the allowable deviation compared to the full dynamic model. With applying the proposed criteria, it is expected that the flow simulations in the channels, streams or rivers are more efficiently achieved.

This study investigates the characteristics of Nordic sweaters works from a historical perspective. Specifically, this study deals with the following research topics: 1) development of Nordic sweaters, 2) the characteristics of Nordic sweaters industry according to the change of times, 3) the comparison of local knitting patterns, 4) the symbolic meaning of the designs in the Nordic sweaters and patterns. The results of the study are summarized as follows. 1. Knitted work developed mostly in Northern Europe, a cold area, and the barren, mountainous coastal areas where people frequently used woolen materials for clothes. It was also developed in Scandinavian regions which lead the fashion in modern days. Scandinavian knitting techniques have been diffused into the east coast of England and Northern Europe by Vikings. 2. Scandinavian countries are distinguished from other countries by their conservative but creative cultural tradition. Their knitting patterns are characterized by small geometric figures such as dots, triangles, squares, rhombuses, and crosses used often with stars and roses. Scandinavian knitting is also salient for its vertical stripes and simple motifs repeating at short intervals. 1) Norway ; Simple and geometric Norwegian patterns are classified into three groups of motifs: (a) the motifs of cross, diamond, X, and swastika (equation omitted). (b) the motifs of human figures, animals and birds, (c) floral motifs (especially eight-petal roses). Their use of color is also simple, and is limited to more than two colors. (2) Sweden ; Swedish patterns are colorful and geometric. They are characterized by features such as brocade, complex embroidery, and contrast of red and black colors. They also show Guernsey patterns. Initials and production years were knitted in sweaters which have different patterns in their trunks and sleeves. 3) Denmark ; The Danish pattern is the purl stitch knitted against the stockinette stitch. The technique is used to copy woven damask motifs. The patterns are seen most clearly when they are knit with smooth yarn. The Faeroe sweaters are the representative work of Danish knitting. Faeroe knitting, incorporates stranded pattern and is knit in the round, either with circular needles. 4) Finland ; Finnish patterns are similar to Norwegian patterns. Finnish knitted work show very colorful, variety and free-flowing geometric patterns. 5) Iceland ; Icelandic knitting shows original ribbon pattern. Lope sweater is the representative work. 3. The traditional knitting patterns not only carried symbolic meanings but also served as means of communication. First of all, patterns had incantatory meanings. Patterns were symbolic of one's social standing, too. The colors, motifs and their arrangements were very important features symbolizing one's social position or family line. People often communicated by certain pieces of knitted work or patterns. In short, the knitted work in the Nordic sweaters served the function of admiring the beauty of nature and symbolizing various meanings. The unique designs and colors of the knitted work reflected the characteristics of the culture those works belonged to. This study also turns our attention to the issue of how the traditional colors and designs of the knitted work can contribute to the development of modern designs, and by doing so, if makes us realize the importance of knitted works in modern society.
The aim of this series of experiments was to examine the opportunity for application of X-ray computer tomography (CT) in cattle production. Firstly, tissue composition of M. longissimus dorsi (LD) cuts between the $11-13^{th}$ ribs (in Exp 1. between the $9-11^{th}$ ribs), was determined by CT and correlated with tissue composition of intact half carcasses prior to dissection and tissue separation. Altogether, 207 animals of different breeds and genders were used in the study. In Exp. 2 and 3, samples were taken from LD cuts, dissected and chemical composition of muscle homogenates was analysed by conventional procedures. Correlation coefficients were calculated among slaughter records, tissues in whole carcasses and tissue composition of rib samples. Results indicated that tissue composition of rib samples determined by CT closely correlated with tissue composition results by dissection of whole carcasses. The findings revealed that figures obtained by CT correlate well with the dissection results of entire carcasses (meat, bone, fat). Close three-way coefficients of correlation (r = 0.80-0.97) were calculated among rib eye area, volume of cut, pixel-sum of adipose tissue determined by CT and intramuscular fat or adipose tissue in entire carcasses. Estimation of tissue composition of carcasses using equations including only CT-data as independent variables proved to be less reliable in prediction of lean meat and bone in carcass ($R^2 = 0.51-0.86$) than for fat (($R^2 = 0.83-0.89$). However, when cold half carcass weight was also included in the equation, the coefficient of determination exceeded $R^2 = 0.90$. In Exp. 3 tissue composition of rib samples by CT were compared to the results of EUROP carcass classification. Findings revealed that CT analysis has higher predictive value in estimation of actual tissue composition of cattle carcasses than EUROP carcass classification.
Technology is one of the major competitive advantages for small and medium enterprises (SME), especially ones operating in the manufacturing sector. Increasing technological capabilities is the basis for SME's business performance improvement. The main problem of SME's is a limitation in the areas of production facilities, technology, and human resources. Some of these constraints cause a decline in business performance and competitiveness of SME's. In this case analysis of technology components has to be carried out to determine the effect of technology on SME's business performance improvement. This study aims to measure the components of technology and to analyze the influence of each technology component on business performance of rattan processing SME's in South Kalimantan. The assessment is carried out on the technoware, humanware, inforware, and orgaware components using the technometric method (UNESCAP). Business performance is measured through a combination of financial and non-financial aspects deducted from financial and marketing figures. Analysis of the influence of technology components on business performance of SME's is done using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with Partial Least Square software (PLS). Data is collected through interviews and questionnaires from 21 rattan processing SME's in South Kalimantan that produce rattan furnitures. The results show that the value of the contribution of technology (TCC) to the performance of rattan processing SME's in South Kalimantan is still quite low. Analysis of the results shows a direct influence of technoware and humanware on business performance, while orgaware influences business performance indirectly through humanware.
The aim of study was to reduce risk factors of musculoskeletal disorders, and prevent it according to evaluation and analysis of its symptoms survey, and work postures which doing much frequently. This study was conducted by 64 firefighters. It was surveyed physical burden levels, distribution of musculoskeletal symptoms, and analized work postures by using ergonomics tools, such as Rapid Entire Body Assesment(REBA), Rapid Upper Lim Assessment(RULA), NIOSH Lifting Equation(NLE). Physical burden levels, and distribution of musculoskeletal symptoms were surveyed according to frequency analysis, and the analysis of above tools were presented figures and scores. The all the results of REBA were that risk level was "High", action level was "Need soon" and the results of RULA were "The results are required detailed survey and immediate improvement" at Require rescue person handling, fire hose, hybraulic rescue equipment, universal axe work postures. The occurrence possibility of musculoskeletal disorders of fire fighters is quite high due to instability postures, excessive physical work and so on. Thus, making various efforts to prevent disorders, and improving working environment is necessary continuously.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural model of causal effects of students' variables on science process skills. Student characteristics investigated in the study included attitude related to the science, logical thinking ability, scientific experiences, cognitive style. Covariance structural modeling procedures were used to test causal inferences about hypothesized relationships. The sample consisted of 319 6th grade students and 321 8th grade students in Seoul City, Korea. Five instruments were used in the study, TSPS(test of science process skills), GALT(group assessment of logical thinking), CEFT(children embedded figures test), questionnaire of attitude related to the science, questionnaire of scientific experience. For statistical analysis, the study adopted the structural equation modeling with LlSREL, a computer statistical program developed by J reskog and S rbom. Major findings of the study are as follows:1) Logical thinking ability has a most strong direct effect on science process skills. 2) The structural coefficient of scientific experience influence on attitude related to the science has the greatest direct one than the others in the covariance structural model. According to the results of this study, it is very importance that various scientific experiences, particularly hands-on activity, should be offer to students to improve science process skills. Also, understanding the relationships of student variable to science process skills will be helpful to decision making on the part of curriculum developers, science teachers and researchers.
