Hadoop을 이용한 R-트리의 효율적인 병렬 구축 기법 (An Efficient Parallel Construction Scheme of An R-Tree using Hadoop)

  • Bulk-loading an R-tree can be a good approach to build an efficient one. However, it takes a lot of time to bulk-load an R-tree for huge amount of data. In this paper, we propose a parallel R-tree construction scheme based on a Hadoop framework. The proposed scheme divides the data set into a number of partitions for which local R-trees are built in parallel via Map-Reduce operations. Then the local R-trees are merged into an global R-tree that covers the whole data set. While generating the partitions, it considers the spatial distribution of the data into account so that each partition has nearly equal amounts of data. Therefore, the proposed scheme gives an efficient index structure while reducing the construction time. Experimental tests show that the proposed scheme builds an R-tree more efficiently than the existing approaches.

Measurement of K0 and K'0 during loading and unloading of loose sand

  • The coefficient of lateral earth pressure at rest in loose sand during virgin loading, K0 , and during unloading, K'0 , have been determined from laterally confined load-unload tests. The tests included measurement of lateral pressure with null pressure gauges, side wall friction with newly designed friction meters and applied pressure and base pressure with load cells. The importance of accounting for side-wall friction when evaluating the distribution of vertical pressure over the height of the soil specimen was demonstrated. Relatively uniform friction was observed during loading, but this was not the case during unloading unless friction reduction measures were employed. While the measured value of K0 was found to be close to, if slightly higher than the value commonly estimated on the basis of friction angle, φ', the ratio of K'0 to K0 was found to reasonably fit an expression of the form K'0/K0 = 1 + C·log(OCR), with C equal to 1 in the present tests.

  • The scheme to classify pollution sources in Korean TMDL planning has been pointed out too much complex to implement practically because of requiring a wide range of items to be collected from a field. Within a deficient situation to collect field data, the mathematical scheme that focuses only on counting an uniform area ratio of the different land uses to estimate of pollutant loads from individual sub-catchments has been used without taking into account of the spatial characteristics of major land uses as well as the locations of pollution sources in each sub-catchment. It would cause to significant level of errors to estimate the pollution loads. Therefore, this study proposes a renovated scheme that can be adopted more easily to classify pollution sources in the watershed and reduce the estimation errors in the spatial distribution of pollution sources by introducing a spatial analysis based on digital land cover maps. In order to estimate a unit area to calculate the uniform pollution load, the pollution response unit area that is locating spatially at the same place and having same land use is identified through the application of GIS overlay technique. Unlikely existing conventional method to calculate the pollution load based on equal distribution of pollutants for each administrative boundary, it is assumed that the pollution load from household and livestock sources are generated and washed off from only residential areas. While, pollution from business population comes from commercial area and industrial load from wastewater discharge facilities are from industrial areas. From comparison of the calculated results from the existing the method and the proposed one, it is found that although the estimation of pollution load from sub-catchment in the case of the existing conventional method application results in negligible difference in total pollution amounts from the whole area of Wangsook watershed as a study area, significant difference of pollution load among sub-catchment in which pollution response unit areas are diverse, however, appears in the case of the application of the renovated scheme.

모래지반에서 비배토 테이퍼말뚝의 연직거동 특성 (Axial Behavior of Non-Displacement Tapered Piles in Sand)

  • 말뚝의 거동특성은 지반조건 뿐만 아니라 말뚝의 형상에 의해서도 영향을 받는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 비배토 테이퍼말뚝과 원통형말뚝의 연직거동과 지지력 특성을 조사하기 위해서 선단지지력과 주면마찰력을 분리해서 측정할 수 있는 모형말뚝과 가압토조를 이용해서 총 12회의 모형말뚝시험을 실시하였다. 시험결과 원통형말뚝의 주면 하중은 말뚝 직경의 4%에 해당하는 침하량에서 극한치에 도달하였다. 반면 테이퍼말뚝의 주면하중은 말뚝이 침하함에 따라 계속 증가하는 경향을 보였으며, 원통형말뚝의 주면하중보다 상당히 큰 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 조밀한 지반에서는 테이퍼말뚝의 전체지지력이 원통형말뚝보다 작은 반면 상대밀도가 보통인 지반에서는 테이퍼말뚝의 전체 지지력이 원통형말뚝보다 큰 것으로 나타났다. 테이퍼말뚝의 단위 극한선단지지력은 지반의 토압계수가 0.4보다 클 때 원통형말뚝보다 컸으며, 테이퍼말뚝의 단위 극한주면마찰력은 지반의 토압계수와는 무관하게 원통형말뚝보다 큰 것을 알 수 있었다.

Physical test study on double-row long-short composite anti-sliding piles

  • The double-row long-short composite anti-sliding piles system is an effective way to control the landslides with high thrust. In this study, The double-row long-short composite anti-sliding piles with different load segment length (cantilever length) and different pile row spacing were studied by a series of physical tests, by which the influences of load segment length of rear-row piles as well as pile row spacing on the mechanical response of double-row long-short composite anti-sliding pile system were investigated. Based on the earth pressures in front of and behind the piles obtained during tests, then the maximum bending moments of the fore-row and the rear-row piles were calculated. By ensuring a equal maximum moments in the fore-row and the rear-row piles, the optimum lengths of the rear-row piles of double-row long-short composite system under different piles spacing were proposed. To investigate the validity of the reduced scale tests, the full-scale numerical models of the landside were finally conducted. By the comparisons between the numerical and the physical test results, it could be seen that the reduced scale tests conducted in this study are reliable. The results showed that the double-row long-short composite anti-sliding piles system is effective in the distribution of the landslide thrust to the rear-row and the fore-row piles.

모형실험에 의한 조립토 지반에 설치된 말뚝지지 전면기초에서 래프트의 하중분담률 (Load Sharing Ratio of Raft in Piled Raft on Granular Soils by Model Test)

  • 본 연구에서는 말뚝지지 전면기초의 거동특성을 파악하기 위하여 사질토 지반에서 실내 모형실험을 실시하였으며, 그 결과를 수치해석 및 해석적 방법과 비교 검토하는 연구를 수행하였다. 실내 모형실험에서는 동일한 지반조건, 말뚝조건 및 하중조건에서 말뚝지지 전면기초와 비접촉 무리말뚝에 대한 모형실험을 수행하였으며, 단말뚝과 래프트에 대해서도 동일한 조건으로 모형실험을 실시하였다. 그리고 말뚝간격과 길이, 말뚝배열 및 지반조건을 변화시켜 래프트의 하중부담률을 조사하였다. 모형실험 결과들은 말뚝지지 전면기초의 해석프로그램인 DEFPIG, 해석적 방법과 Phung 방법의 결과들과 비교 및 검토하였다. 본 연구 결과에 의하면, 래프트의 하중분담률은 말뚝간격과 길이 및 지반의 상대밀도에 따라 변화하며, Phung 방법의 결과가 모형실험 결과와 가장 유사한 것으로 평가되었다.

친환경 생분해성 그물실의 재질에 따른 연안 유자망의 어획성능 특성 (Fishing performance of a coastal drift net in accordance with materials of the environmentally-friendly biodegradable net twine)

  • The objective of this study was to estimate physical properties and fishing performances of net twine with improved PBS copolymer resin (Bio-new), the existing PBS/PBAT blending resin (Bio-old) and commercial Nylon (Nylon). The tensile strength of Bio-new monofilament was equal to Bio-old and the elongation of Bio-new was about 6 % higher than that of Bio-old in wet condition. The physical properties tests were carried out to estimate breaking load and stiffness in dry and wet conditions, respectively. In the results, the breaking load of Nylon netting was the highest whereas the elongation of Bio-new was 1.4 times higher than that of Nylon netting in wet condition. The breaking load of Bio-old netting was about 9.2 % higher than that of Bio-new netting. However, the elongation of the Bio-new netting was about 3% higher than that of Bio-old. The stiffness of the Bio-new compared to Bio-old was improved about 34 % in dry condition and about 32 % in wet condition. The filed experiments of the fishing performance were conducted with three kinds of drift nets with different netting materials in the coastal sea of Jeju. The each experimental drift net made of different materials showed the similar fishing performance. Bio-old drift net yielded less catches of small sized yellow croaker than other drift nets. The netting materials affected the fishing performance and length distribution of catches in the drift nets.

복합판으로 보강된 철근콘크리트 기둥의 내진성능연구 (Earthquake-Resistant Capacity of RC Columns Retrofitted by Fiber-Steel Composite Plate)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 기둥의 내진성능을 개선하기 위한 연구로서, 섬유-강판이 복합된 보강재를 사용하여 보강기둥의 내력특성을 연구하였다. 이용 가능한 복합판의 보강량을 선정하고, 기존의 탄소섬유와 강판으로 보강한 기둥과 함께 밴드형 보강실험체를 제작하여 일정축력을 받는 기둥에 반복횡하중을 가하여 하중, 변의 및 연성도를 조사하였다. 내진성능의 척도가 되는 변위연성도, 에너지연성도, 누적소산에너지 및 감쇠비를 비교하여 복합판을 사용한 부재의 내력특성을 평가하였다. 연구결과, 복합판을 사용하여 기둥을 보강할 경우에도 다른 보강방법과 같이 양호한 내진성능을 확보할 수 있었다. 또한, 밴드형식으로 보강한 보강실험체의 연성능력은 모두 양호한 편이나, 최대하중 증가를 위해서는 일정량 이상의 보강량이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 연성도 평가로는 에너지연성도가 변위연성도에 비하여 보강기둥의 연성능력을 잘 나타내었다.

아연도금 강판의 점용접재의 피로균형에 관한 연구 (Fatigue Behavior of the Single Spot Welded Joint of Zinc Galvanized Steel Sheets)

  • The behavior of fatigue crack growth in the single spot welded joint of zinc galvanized steel sheets was studied experimentally and analytically based on fracture mechanics. Axial tension fatigue tests were carried out with the BSxGAB specimen that the bare plane(GAB) of monogalvanized steel sheet was spot welded to the double thickness bare steel sheet(BS), and with the GAxGAB specimen that the galvanized plane (GA) was spot welded to the equal thickness bare plane (GAB) 1. The relation between maximum stress intensity factor, K sub(max) and the number of cycles to failure, N sub(f) has shown a linear relation on log-log plot in the spot weld of the zinc galvanized steel sheet. 2. The fatigue strength of BSxGAB specimens is about 23% higher than that of GAxGAB specimens at the fatigue strength of $1\times10^6$ cycles. And the fatigue life of BSxGAB specimens at the same load range increases 6~9 times higher than that of GAxGAB specimens. 3. The general tendency at the angle of bending($\theta$) in an applied load has changed rapidly at the initial 20% of its life. After then, it has changed slowly. The change at the angle of bending has increased linearly as the load range increases. 4. It has shown a linear relation between the location ratio of initiation ${\gamma}$ and fatigue life $N_f$ on the semi-log graph paper. Here $\gamma$ means that the crack distance between main crack and sub-crack, 2L is divided by the nugget diameter, 2r. $\gamma=a{\cdot}log N_f+n$ (where a and n are material constant.)

ALFD방법에 의한 연속합성판형교의 강도평가에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Strength Rating of Continuous Composite Plate Girder Bridges by ALFD)

  • ALFD방법은 연속합성판형교의 과재하중과 최대하중에 대한 강도검토에 있어서 실제적인 거동을 나타낼 수 있는 탄소성해석법이다. 주어진 하중으로 인한 최대 정, 부모멘트단면에서의 항복은 활하중이 통과한 후에 잔류하는 소성회전을 일으킨다. 또한 제조시의 잔류응력으로 인하여 이론적인 항복모멘트 이하에서도 소성변형을 일으킨다. 이러한 국부항복은 다음에 작용되는 과재하중하에서 탄성화되어 정의 자생모멘트를 유발한다. 본 연구에서는 지점과 최대 정모멘트 단면에서의 단위소성회전각으로 인한 자생모멘트를 공액보법과 3연모멘트법에 의하여 구하였고, 9개의 설계경간을 지점단면을 감소시켜가면서 본 연구에서 개발한 전산프로그램에 의하여 연속관계와 모멘트-비탄성회전각 실험곡선과 일치하는 자생모멘트를 구하였다. 또한 한국도로교시방서에 준하여 비조밀단면을 갖는 3경간 연속합성판형교의 평가를 수행하였다.
