A106 GrB강 용접부의 염수중 부식피로 특성 (Corrosion Fatigue Characteristics of A106-GrB Steel Weldments in NaCl solution)

  • the horizontal corrosion fatigue tester has been developed for investigating environmental strength. Using this tester, we investigated about corrosion fatigue caracteristic for A106 GrB steel weldments in 3.5% synthetic seawater and room temperature. Considered parameter is only frequency of 1,3 and 5Hz. and Corrosion fatigue crack length was measured by DC potential difference method. From the results, we could find that the horizontal corrosion fatiued tester could be well applied to estimation of fatigue strength. and In case of 5Hz, corrosion fatigue crack growth path of A106 GrB steel weldment was transgranular, and of 1 and 3Hz showed that transgranular and intergranular was mixed. Also, Corrosion fatigue crack growth caracteristic values estimated in each frequency were C=9.33 x 10-9 and m=2.93 in 1Hz, C=9.77x10-10 and m=3.47 in 3Hz, C=1.02x10-10 and m=4.05 in 1Hz

박막시험편용 고온 크리프 시험기의 설계 및 제작 (Design and Construction of a High Temperature Creep Tester for Thin Film Specimens)

  • A new material tester has been developed to measure mechanical properties of thin film specimens at high temperature. It is useful for observing oxide film growth or local deformation on the surface, and for measuring creep strength. Main characteristics of the tester is as follows; First, high temperature is achieved by Joule heating generated by electricity passing through the specimen, which does not need to enclose the specimen by a furnace or a heating chamber. The exposed specimen enables one to observe the surface during the test. Because the overall size of the test rig is compact, the whole test rig can be placed in a chamber for environmental controlled tests. The loading device is from a level scales. Not only static load with fixed counter weight, but also variable load by moving counter weight controlled remotely can be applied for an ordinary creep test and creep-fatigue test, respectively. The detail of the construction, operation principle, and the specification are described. And also, an example of test result obtained using the creep tester is presented.

  • The relative displacement of a piping system installed between isolated and nonisolated structures in a severe earthquake might be larger when without a seismic isolation system. As a result of the relative displacement, the seismic risks of some components in the building could increase. The possibility of an increase in seismic risks is especially high in the crossover piping system in the buildings. Previous studies found that an elbow which could be ruptured by low-cycle ratcheting fatigue is one of the weakest elements. Fatigue curves for elbows were suggested based on component tests. However, it is hard to find a quantitative evaluation of the ultimate state of piping elbows. Generally, the energy dissipation of a solid structure can be calculated from the relation between displacement and force. Therefore, in this study, the ultimate state of the pipe elbow, normally considered as failure of the pipe elbow, is defined as leakage under in-plane cyclic loading tests, and a failure estimation method is proposed using a damage index based on energy dissipation.

자철광을 이용항 폐수처리시 응집효율에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Magnetite Particles on Coagulation in Wastewater Treatment)

  • In this study are investigated to the optimal coagulation conditions and magnetite which was used as coagulation-aids. To accomplish this study, analysis of water quality, removing tubidity and SS from wastewater were measured with jar-tester. The results were obtained that waste water requires 10g magnetite, 100mg aluminum sulfate, and pH valuse was 6~9.

umu-test에 의한 일부 배출시설별 폐수의 변이원성 조사연구 (Mutagenic effects of industrial wastewaters by using umu-test)

  • Genotoxicity/mutagenicity of organic chemicals in industrial wastewater was investigated using umu-test with a Salmonella typhimurium TA1535 strain. The tester strain was derived by introducing plasmid pSK 1002, which carried a umu C - lac Z fusion gene into S typhimurium TA1535, and tester strain in the presence microsomal activation proved to be the more sensitive maker of genotoxicity. Genotoxic responses were observed in concentrated with a blue-rayon column, from 14 plants tested. The results were as follow; 1. Genotoxic responses were observed in concentrated from nine plants(64.3%) tested. 2. The results show that genotoxic activity was particulary high in the untreated wastewaters and decreased in the treated wastewaters(35.7%) 3. No significant correlation was found between genotoxicity and water ollution indicators, such as COD and BOD.

황화수소 제거를 위한 망간계 탈황제의 물리적 특성과 황화반응 속도 (Physical Properties and Sulfidation Kinetics of Mn-Based Sorbent for Hydrogen Sulfide Removal)

  • 모사 고온석탄가스로부터 황화수소를 제거하기 위해 망간계 탈황제(MT, MFT)에 대한 실험을 수행하였다. 망간계 탈황제의 황화수소 제거효율과 탈황제의 물리적 특성을 파악하기 위해 각각 고정층 반응기와 attrition tester를 사용하여 실험하였다. 마멸저항에 대한 실험결과, 벤토나이트를 5% 함유한 탈황제가 2%를 함유한 탈황제보다 마멸저항이 컸으며 또한 경화온도가 높을수록 마멸저항이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 반응온도, 황화수소농도, 그리고 공간속도가 황화수소 제거효율에 미치는 영향을 조사한 결과, MT와 MFT 탈황제 모두 $450^{\circ}C$에서는 황화수소를 5,100ppmv에서 20ppmv까지 제거할 수 있었고, $550{\sim}650^{\circ}C$에서는30~65ppmv까지 제거할 수 있었으며, 공간속도가 증가함에 따라 파과시간은 감소하였다.

Nylon Net(대체근계)의 토질강도보강효과에 대한 실험적 연구 - 토양수분제어하의 단순전단시험에 의한 해석 - (Experimental Study on Reinforcement Effects of Soil Shear Strength by Nylon Net(Substitute Materials Simulating a Root System) -Analysis using Simple Shear Tester under Soil Suction Control -)

  • The reinforcement of soil shear strength by nylon net as substitute materials simulating a fine root system was evaluated by soil strength parameters(apparent cohesion(c) and internal friction angle(tan${\phi}$), using simple shear tester which clearly depicts shear deformation and controls soil suction. And the results of shear test by using bamboo as a substitute materials simulating a main root system and using nylon net as a substitute materials simulating a fine root system were compared. The reinforcement of soil strength by nylon net are expressed by apparent cohesion more than internal friction angle. In addition the increment of apparent cohesion by nylon net reached a peak in suction 60 $cmH_2O$. Different from with bamboo, the possibility of the change on internal friction angle(tan${\phi}$) caused by the soil water condition was shown in shear strain 20% condition. These results show that the mechanism of reinforcement by substitute materials simulating root system may be different in the condition of various soil water content.

  • 본 연구에서는 기존의 접착제를 대체용 접착제로 대체 가능한지의 여부를 조사하기 위하여 구조용 접착제에 대해 일련의 열화 시험을 수행하였다. 구조용 접착제는 온도, 수분, 자외선 등의 자연환경 조건을 모사할 수 있는 가속노화시험기를 통해 복합적인 환경인자에서 1000시간 동안 노출시켰다. 구조용 접착제의 기계적 특성은 하중 시험기를 통해, 화학적 특성은 적외선 분광 분석 장치를 통해 평가하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 대체용 접착제가 환경인자에 노출될 경우 기존의 접착제에 비해 안정적이기 때문에 기존의 접착제는 대체용 접착제로 대체 가능할 것으로 판단하였다.

  • A new live-line insulator tester was developed to detect faulty insulators in 154kV power transmission lines. This paper is the second part of the two-part paper and deals with its inspection algorithm development. Unlike normal condition with low pollution and low humidity, the inspection data measured in the field under high pollution or high humidity showed that the voltage distribution of an insulator string has offsets in comparison with those of others and its insulation resistances are greatly decreased, which leads to wrong results of the existing inspection algorithms under such conditions. To solve this problem, we propose new diagnosis algorithms that can exactly detect faulty insulators from measured data regardless of environmental conditions. Its effectiveness was validated by live-line field tests in actual power lines.
