  • The purpose of this study is to examine the physical factors of work environment and to establish the evaluation factors for office design for wheelchair users. This study is based on the existing research for office environmental factors; and then clarifies the physical factors that are suitable for circumstances of wheelchair users. These factors are composed three physical factors which are space, furniture arrangement, and ambient condition and then each of these factors has detailed several elements. Futhermore, comparing physical factors between a non-wheelchair user and a wheelchair user with work environment is analyzed on the assumption using the system furniture on the market. This study is expected to be used as basic information to provide the way of improving office space plan for wheelchair user in workplace. This resource can serve as a checklist when renovating, re-designing or building a new office space for wheelchair users. The evaluation of office environmental factors for wheelchair users who work in public and/or private companies is needed for the next research.

  • The environmental considerations should be taken into full consideration in order to make the use of ground space as comfort and efficient as that of ground space. The visual environmental factors which provide visual informations in underground spaces where the environmental information can be acquired only by the surroundings expand their role as affordance for wayfinding. This study focuses on the visual performance evaluation of wayfinding factors on the subway transfer station platform and aisle as major space for movement in four subway transfe stations and analyzes the material, pattern, color, and lighting provided by the visual environment in underground space as directional marked label, regional differentiation and sign system. The results of this study comes are as follows. First, As to the directional marked label at the subway platform and transfer aisle, following patterns are colors, finishing materials and lighting for the sake of safety and convenience, And regional differentiation, following colors are patterns for the space division. Finally sign system which practically provides the most information, however, it is most insufficient to be a space-preception element. Second, According to the type of platform structures, such as an island platform and a separate platform, the main areas of and necessity for the space-perception elements may bring about changes. Third, these four stations that has been analyzed for this study, lighting, compared with color, finishing material and pattern, has been highly insufficient to be a perception element.

  • The energy efficiency and environment-friendly aspect of the railway system would be superior to other on-land transportation systems. In a preliminary feasibility study stage, the energy efficiency and problems related with environment are usually not considered. The railway noise and vibration which could be reasons of environmental problems are focused and studied in this paper. The investment for railway systems could be encouraged by the considering of main environmental elements evaluated with the modified noise and vibration standard for environment-friendly railway construction.

  • The evaluation of the quality of residential environment, in the planning process, is very important. If the environmental quality can be measured on the design scheme itself, it would be possible not only to estimate the residential environment, but also to apply the results of measuring in the planning and design of new residential projects. This study aimed at estimating the relative weights of the constituents of a residential environment by AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). For the detailed analysis of relative weights, the respondent of survey were composed of two different groups-dwellers and experts. The findings are as follows (:) 1) the relative weights of residential constituents were different between the respondent groups; 2) the relative weights of residential constituents were different according to socio-demographic characteristics; and 3) for the practical application of estimation results of the relative weights, the relation between residential performance constituents and physical design elements should be considered.

Viscoelastic behavior on composite beam using nonlinear creep model

  • The purpose of this study is to predict and investigate the time-dependent creep behavior of composite materials. For this, firstly the evaluation method for the modulus of elasticity of whole fiber and matrix is presented from the limited information on fiber volume fraction using the singular value decomposition method. Then, the effects of fiber volume fraction on modulus of elasticity of GFRP are verified. Also, as a creep model, the nonlinear curve fitting method based on the Marquardt algorithm is proposed. Using the existing Findley's power creep model and the proposed creep model, the effect of fiber volume fraction on the nonlinear creep behavior of composite materials is verified. Then, for the time-dependent analysis of a composite material subjected to uniaxial tension and simple shear loadings, a user-provided subroutine UMAT is developed to run within ABAQUS. Finally, the creep behavior of center loaded beam structure is investigated using the Hermitian beam elements with shear deformation effect and with time-dependent elastic and shear moduli.

  • 건설 산업에 대한 자동화 시스템 구축에 대한 연구는 오래전부터 지속되어왔다. 그러나 개발된 자동화 시스템에 대한 성능평가 방안은 아직까지 명확하게 제시된 사례가 존재하지 않는다. 대부분의 연구에서는 이러한 성능평가를 부분적인 요소기술에 대하여 수행하거나, 도입을 통하여 얻는 편익에 집중하여 성능평가가 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 경제적 타당성과 편익을 동시에 고려할 수 있는 지능형 굴삭 시스템에 대한 성능평가 프레임워크를 구축하였다. 이를 이용하여 자동화 장비에 대한 성능평가 방안을 제시하였으며, 지능형 굴삭 시스템의 현장 적용성을 분석하였다.

  • 국내에서 관리되고 있는 전체 철도역사는 322개(일반·광역철도 포함)로 상당히 많은 역사에서 노후가 진행되고 있다. 기존의 철도역사의 규모와 출입구의 수 측면에서 적정한 서비스 용량을 확보하지 못했을 뿐만 아니라 도시개발 등 주변 여건 변화를 겪으며 역사개량에 대한 요구가 높아지고 있다. 과거에는 철도역사가 유지 또는 관리 차원에서 연결통로라는 단순한 기능에 초점이 맞춰져 있었으나, 최근 들어 철도역사도 이용자 중심의 쾌적하고 편리하고, 안전한 서비스 제공 공간으로 거듭나야 한다는 분위기로 전환되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 노후역사의 개량 기준에 부합하는 개량방안을 도출하기 위하여 철도 노후역사 개량 관련 사례조사를 시행하고, 서비스 수준 평가 기준을 개발하였다. 개발 모형에는 서비스 수준(LOS) 개념을 도입하여 역사 혼잡도, 역사 이동 편의성, 역사 안전성을 평가지표로 선정하였다. 또한, 본 개발 모형은 각 지표의 다양한 평가요소들을 주요 요소와 세부 요소로 나누어 계층화하고, 계층별 요소들의 상대적 중요도를 도출하기 위해 분석적 계층화 기법을 적용하였다. 시설별 LOS 상 E와 F의 개수 비율을 활용하여 개량 우선순위를 도출하였다. 본 연구를 토대로 객관적이고 형평성 있는 철도역사 개량을 위한 평가 기준으로 활용되는 데 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

청각선호도에 미치는 청각적 경관의 요소, 특징, 인상 요인과 계절의 상호작용 효과 (Interaction Between Seasons and Auditory Elements, Features and Impressions of Soundscape in Influencing Auditory Preferences)

  • 이 연구는 사운드스케이프라는 청각적 경관의 개념에 기초하여, 계절에 따라 도시 거리의 청각적 경관에서 나타나는 경관요소, 경관특징, 경관인상에 대한 한국인의 청각선호도를 조사하여, 청각적 경관의 구성요인과 계절의 요인이 어떻게 상호작용하여 청각선호도에 영향을 미치는 지를 파악하는 것이다. 캡션평가법이라는 환경심리 조사수법을 이용하여 45명의 대학생들이 4계절 동안 남원시의 거리를 걸으면서 듣고 느낀 청각적 경관에서 나타나는 경관요소, 경관특징, 경관인상의 요인과 계절의 상호작용 효과를 단순요인 분산분석과 비모수 일원배치 분산분석하였다. 분석결과, 청각적 경관의 경관요소, 경관특징, 경관인상과 계절 사이에 상호작용 효과가 있으며, 각 경관의 구성요인들이 청각선호도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 경관요소의 계절별 선호도는 봄, 여름, 가을에는 자연음이, 겨울에는 사회음의 선호도가 높게 나타났다. 경관특징의 계절별 선호도는 봄, 여름 및 겨울에는 양태가, 그리고 가을은 주변관계가 중요한 영향을 미치고 있다. 경관인상의 계절별 선호도는 봄과 겨울은 소리특성이, 그리고 여름과 가을은 거리의 분위기라는 경관인상이 중요한 영향을 미치고 있다. 이 연구의 결과는 사운드스케이프 디자인에 있어서 계절에 따라 어떠한 청각적 경관의 경관요소, 경관특징, 경관인상을 배려하는 것이 바람직한 것인가, 그 양부를 판정할 수 있는 유용한 자료로써 활용할 수 있다.

국내 노인전문시설 옥외공간 평가를 위한 외국도구(AGAT)의 적용 후 평가 (An application and evaluation of Alzheimer's Garden Audit Tool(AGAT) to assess outdoor space of the long-term care facility in Korea)

  • Purpose: The aging population is the quickly increasing in Korea. Since 2008, the National Long term Care Insurance, a number of long term care facilities have established during short time in Korea. Especially, the environmental assessment tool is important for managing healing environment in a long term care facility for the elderly. Alzheimer's Garden Audit Tool (AGAT) is used to assess whether a garden incorporates those elements and qualities as healing outdoor space. In this paper, we discuss the benefits, limitations, and future directions of the assessment tool for long-term care facilities. Methods : The AGAT audit was done through content analysis by 5 experts from diverse discipline as post occupancy evaluation of a long term care facility located in suburban area. The expert group was asked to describe their comments for modification and improvement in application of AGAT. Results : The results of this study show that it is necessary to refine the instrument's items to better meet the needs of the criteria and items for Korean culture-friendly tool. Especially, greenhouse elements (various plants, birds etc.), multisensory experiences, users-oriented space, programmed activities in garden, and hazards on pathway has somewhat limitation as measurement to assess outdoor of long-term care facilities in Korea. Implications : Consequently, AGAT could be applicable to evaluate the outdoor space of long term care facility in Korea with culturally sensitive revision.

계층화분석 및 엔트로피 가중치 산정 방법에 따른 농업가뭄재해 취약성 평가 (Evaluation of Agricultural Drought Disaster Vulnerability Using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Entropy Weighting Method)

  • Recent drought events in the South Korea and the magnitude of drought losses indicate the continuing vulnerability of the agricultural drought. Various studies have been performed on drought hazard assessment at the regional scales, but until recently, drought management has been response oriented with little attention to mitigation and preparedness. A vulnerability assessment is introduced in order to preemptively respond to agricultural drought and to predict the occurrence of drought. This paper presents a method for spatial, Geographic Information Systems-based assessment of agricultural drought vulnerability in South Korea. It was hypothesized that the key 14 items that define agricultural drought vulnerability were meteorological, agricultural reservoir, social, and adaptability factors. Also, this study is to analyze agricultural drought vulnerability by comparing vulnerability assessment according to weighting method. The weight of the evaluation elements is expressed through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), which includes subjective elements such as surveys, and the Entropy method using attribute information of the evaluation items. The agricultural drought vulnerability map was created through development of a numerical weighting scheme to evaluate the drought potential of the classes within each factor. This vulnerability assessment is calculated the vulnerability index based on the weight, and analyze the vulnerable map from 2015 to 2019. The identification of agricultural drought vulnerability is an essential step in addressing the issue of drought vulnerability in the South Korea and can lead to mitigation-oriented drought management and supports government policymaking.
