(K,Na)NbO3-based Lead-free Piezoelectric Materials: An Encounter with Scanning Probe Microscopy

  • Environment-friendly $(K,Na)NbO_3-based$ (KNN) lead-free piezoelectric materials have been studied extensively in the past decade. Significant progress has been made in this field, manifesting competitive piezoelectric performance with that of lead-based, for specific application scenarios. Further understanding of the relationship between high piezoelectricity and microstructure or more precisely, ferroelectric domain structure, domain wall pinning effect, domain wall conduction and local polarization switching underpins the continuous advancement of piezoelectric properties, with the help of piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM). In this review, we will present the fundamentals of scanning probe microscopy (SPM) and its cardinal derivative in piezoelectric and ferroelectric world, PFM. Some representative operational modes and a variety of recent applications in KNN-based piezoelectric materials are presented. We expect that PFM and its combination with some newly developed technology will continue to provide great insight into piezoelectric materials and structures, and will play a valuable role in promoting the performance to a new level.

개인 통행성향을 고려한 공유 전동킥보드 이용의향 분석: 서울시를 중심으로 (Analyzing Intention to Use Shared E-scooters Considering Individual Travel Attitudes : The Case of Seoul Metropolitan Areas)

  • 최근 환경에 대한 관심이 커지면서 전동킥보드는 도시 내 친환경 교통수단으로써 주목받고 있다. 이에 따라 실질적 이용행태 및 이용목적에 대한 다양한 연구가 실시되고 있으나, 개인의 통행성향을 반영한 이용의향에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 서울시 통근자를 대상으로 실시한 설문조사를 활용하여 요인분석을 통해 응답자의 통행성향을 분석하고, 공유 전동킥보드 이용의향에 대한 이항 로지스틱 회귀모형을 구축하여 개인의 통행행태가 어떻게 영향을 미치는지 규명하였다. 모형추정 결과, 공유 전동킥보드 이용의향에 영향을 미치는 요인으로, 연령, 주수단(승용차), 버스정류장 접근시간, 통행성향 변수(통행 비효용, 직접 운전, 인터넷/스마트폰 친화, 추가 지불 의사)가 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 공유 전동킥보드의 효율적인 운영과 이용 활성화를 위한 통행행태적 측면의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

에너지 하베스팅 기술을 활용한 농산물 물류용 리턴어블 접이식 플라스틱 상자 RFID 모듈 개발 (Development of a Returnable Folding Plastic Box RFID Module for Agricultural Logistics using Energy Harvesting Technology)

  • Sustainable energy supplies without the recharging and replacement of the charge storage device have become increasingly important. Among various energy harvesters, the triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) has attracted considerable attention due to its high instantaneous output power, broad selection of available materials, eco-friendly and inexpensive fabrication process, and various working modes customized for target applications. In this study, the amount of voltage and current generated was measured by applying the PSD profile random vibration test of the electronic vibration tester and ISTA 3A according to the time of Anodized Aluminum Oxide (AAO) pore widening of the manufactured TENG device Teflon and AAO. The discharge and charging tests of the integrated module during the random simulated transport environment and the recognition distance of RFID were measured while agricultural products (onion) were loaded into the returnable folding plastic box. As a result, it was found that AAO alumina etching processing time to maximize TENG performance was optimal at 31 min in terms of voltage and current generation, and the integrated module applied with the TENG module showed a charging effect even during the continuous use of RFID, so the voltage was kept constant without discharge. In addition, the RFID recognition distance of the integrated module was measured as a maximum of 1.4 m. Therefore, it was found that the surface condition of AAO, a TENG element, has a great influence on the power generation of the integrated module, and due to the characteristics of TENG, the power generation increases as the surface dries, so it is judged that the power generation can be increased if the surface drying treatment (ozone treatment, etc.) of AAO is applied in the future.

  • 대기오염에 관한 관심은 국내 외에서 점진적으로 상승하고 있으며, 자동차와 연료분야 연구자들은 청정 (친환경 대체연료) 연료와 연료품질 향상 등을 이용하여 새로운 엔진 설계, 혁신적인 후 처리 시스템 등의 많은 방법으로 차량 배기가스를 감소시키려고 노력하고 있다. 이러한 연구들은 주로 배출 가스 및 가솔린 차량의 PM 입자 배출 두 가지 이슈로 진행되고 있다. 자동차의 배출가스 및 미규제 물질, PM (입자상 물질) 입자는 환경오염과 인체에 악영향을 주는 많은 문제를 일으키고 있다. 자동차 배출가스의 주요 물질인 입자상 물질은 작은 입자로 구성된다. 이러한 작은 크기 때문에, 흡입된 입자는 쉽게 폐 깊숙이 침투 할 수 있다. 이 입자의 거친 표면들은 대기중에서 다른 독성 물질과 결합하기가 쉽다. 따라서 입자흡입의 위험을 증가시킨다. 함산소 연료첨가제 유형 (MTBE, 바이오 ETBE, 바이오 에탄올, 바이오 부탄올)에 기초하여, 본 논문은 가솔린 자동차 배출가스 및 미규제 물질, 나노입자 배출에 산소함량의 영향을 토론하였다. 또한, 본 논문은 두 가지 시험모드를 사용하여 배출가스 특성을 평가하였다. 시험모드는 FTP-75 및 HWFET 모드이었다. 전체 측정항목에서 배출가스 규제 값보다 적게 배출되고 있는 것을 볼 수 있었고, 산소함량이 증가하면서 측정항목에 따라 증감이 다름을 알 수 있었다.

전기추진선박 디지털트윈 기술개발을 위한 전력관리시스템 FMEA (FMEA of Electric Power Management System for Digital Twin Technology Development of Electric Propulsion Vessels)

  • 국제해사기구에서는 선박에서 배출되는 질소산화물 및 이산화탄소 등에 관한 환경규제를 꾸준하게 강화하고 있다. 이에 친환경 요소를 바탕으로 하는 전기추진시스템의 수요가 증가하고 다양한 선박에 적용되며 연구개발이 꾸준하게 진행되고 있다. 전기추진시스템은 신뢰성을 높이고 선내 배치를 용이하게 하기 위한 이중화 구성이 주로 채택되며 실제 장비나 공간을 가상 세계에 쌍둥이처럼 구현하고 현실 세계의 정보와 데이터를 가상 세계와 통합하여 실제 환경에서 발생할 수 있는 상황을 컴퓨터로 시뮬레이션 함으로써 결과를 미리 예측할 수 있는 디지털트윈 기술의 접목을 통하여 전기추진시스템의 안전성 확보를 위한 연구 또한 매우 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 전기추진선박의 디지털트윈 기술개발을 위한 전력관리시스템 이중화에 대한 검증을 FMEA를 바탕으로 분석 후 선급에서 제시하는 이중화 FMEA 기준을 바탕으로 실제 선박 운항 조건에서 전력관리시스템의 단일 장비 고장의 일차 피해와 이차 피해 및 전체 시스템의 영향을 분석하여 추가 피해를 방지하기 위한 보상기능으로 전력관리시스템의 역할과 알고리즘을 제안하였으며 실제 테스트를 통해 추진력 보존이 개선되었음을 검증하였다.

감천예천구간 국도비탈면 종자뿜어붙이기 시험시공 적용사례 (Application Cases of Test Construction of Hydro-Seeding Measures on the Slopes Along the National Road Between Gamchon and Yaechon)

  • To protect the surface of ground-cutting slopes and ground-raised slopes and to recover environment-friendly slopes at the national road expansion construction between Gamchon and Yaechon, test-construction work was done using several modes of hydro-seeding measures to select a suitable construction method through the field survey; the results were as follows : As a result of survey on physio-chemical characteristics of soil, the average soil inclination on ground-raised slopes was from 4.73 mm to 5.37 mm; the average soil acidity was from pH 6.47 to 6.73; the average soil humidity was within the scope of 0.57~1.70 %,; the average soil inclination on ground-cutting slopes was 9.17~10.43mm; the average soil acidity was pH 6.67~6.77 and the average soil humidity was within the scope of 0.53~1.27 %; considered overall, they showed generally satisfactory base materials for plant breeding. As a result of the number of sprouting individuals, the average sprouting number of individuals on test spots executed by Coir net with Seed spray construction methods and the average number of sprouting individuals on other test spots executed by furrow-digging with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures were 1,172 number of per square meter and 970 number of per square meter respectively; thus they showed higher numerical value comparing with other test spots. Likewise, the average number of sprouting individuals on test spots of the ground-cutting slopes executed by Coir net with Seed spray method and the average number of sprouting individuals on other test spot executed by furrow-digger with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures were found to be 1,107 number of per square meter and 1,105 number of per square meter respectively, whose numerical value showed rather higher other test spots. As a result of a survey on living plants' breeding index [dried weight], the weight in dried state on test spots executed by Coir net with Seed spray method and other test spots executed by furrow-digger with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures on both ground-raised and ground-cutting slopes was found to be higher and showed similar characteristics statistically. As a result of survey on the surface-covering degree of ground-raised slopes, nine weeks after test construction, test spots executed by Coir net with Seed spray method and other test spots executed by furrow-digger with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures showed commonly more than 70% of surface-covering degree, but other test spots showed only below 35% of surface covering degree; especially in case of test spots by Verdvol seed spray measures, they showed 10% of the lowest surface-covering. Surface-covering degree on the test spot of ground-cutting slopes nine weeks after test construction showed more than 75% both executed by Coir net with Seed spray construction method and executed by furrow-digger with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures. As a result of survey on appearing plants on the test spots, there dominates Eragrostis curvula both on ground-raised slopes and on ground-cutting slopes with other seeding plant life's lower breeding and there appear intruders, such as Setaria viridis Beauv, Digitaria sanguinalis Scop, and Chenopodium album var.centrorubrum Makino. As for water-borne excavation and soil's washing-away on the slopes, there happened less washing-away and water-borne excavation with good breeding of plant life on test spots executed both by Coir net with Seed spray construction method and by furrow-digger with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures, but there happened much more soil's washing-away along with water-home excavation at the test spot executed by Seed spray with measures. After the research results of test construction sites are examined overall, it's presumed that furrow-digger with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures [interval between lines is 40cm, 5cm in depth] will be preferred to prevent erosion and water-home excavation of slopes located within the construction sites.
