This study recognizes problems in the current system of providing navigation safety information (NSI), which is centered on merchant ships, to prevent maritime accidents of fishing boats and small vessels in coastal areas. The system proposed in this study is an effective method of providing NSI to support the safe navigation of small vessels such as fishing boats. First, the status and characteristics of recent maritime accidents were examined, and NSI service targets were identified. Second, the limitations of the current NSI system were determined, and measures were proposed to establish an NSI Integrated Platform (NSIP) that ensures the integration, accessibility, and usability of NSI for a substantial portion of the public. Third, to utilize the NSIP, various NSIs are applied as additional information for the electronic chart system used in the e-navigation ship terminals being developed in connection with the Korean e-navigation project. Functions that set the audiovisual alarm function to automatically operate when a ship enters a navigation risk zone is proposed. These functions are technically achieved by reviewing expert opinions of related organizations and professional producers. The results of this study suggest that NSI can be applied to small vessels such as fishing boats, through the Korean e-Navigation project, to prevent maritime accidents caused by the human error of navigators.
Insect-resistant transgenic rice was developed by inserting the mCry1Ac1 a modified gene from the soil bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt). For biosafety assessment, we studied the effects on survival of cantor Daphnia magna, a commonly used as a model organism in ecotoxicological studies. D. magna fed on Bt rice and its near non-genetically modified (GM) counterparts (Nakdong) grown in the same environment (100% ground rice suspension). The Bt rice was comfirmed to have the insertion of T-DNA and protein expression by the polymerase chain reaction and ELISA analysis. Feeding study showed similar cumulative immobility and abnormal response of D. magna between Bt rice and non-GM counterparts. 48 h-$EC_{50}$ values of Bt rice and non-GM rice showed 4,429 and 2,889 mg/L respectively. The rice no observed effect concentration (NOEC) values for D. magna was suggested 1,000 mg/L. We conclude that the tested Bt-rice and Nakdong similar cumulative immobility for D. magna the widely used model organism. We found out that there is strong possibility that the growth of Bt rice didn't affect to non-target insects.

A marine environmental information system (MEIS) useful for optimal route planning of ships running in the ocean was developed. Utilizing the simulated marine environmental data produced by the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts based on global environmental data observed by satellites, the real-time forecast and long-term statistics of marine environments around planned and probable ship routes are provided. The MEIS consists of a land-based data acquisition and analysis system(MEIS-Center) and a onboard information display system(MEIS-Ship) for graphic description of marine information and optimal route planning of ships. Also, it uses of satellite communication system for data transfer. The marine environmental components of winds, waves, air pressures and storms are provided, in which winds are described by speed and direction and waves are expressed in terms of height, direction and period for both of wind waves and swells. The real-time information is characterized by 0.5° resolution, 10 day forecast in 6 hour interval and daily update. The statistic information of monthly average and maximum value expected for a return period is featured by 1.5° resolution and based on 15 year database. The MEIS-Ship include an editing tool for route simulation and the forecasting and statistic information on planned routes can be displayed in graph or table. The MEIS enables for navigators to design an optimal navigational route that minimizes probable risk and operational cost.
Recently, the problem of air pollution has become a global concern due to industrialization and overcrowding. Air pollution can cause various adverse effects on human health, among which respiratory diseases such as asthma, which have been of interest in this study, can be directly affected. Previous studies have used clinical data to identify how air pollutant affect diseases such as asthma based on relatively small samples. This is high likely to result in inconsistent results for each collection samples, and has significant limitations in that research is difficult for anyone other than the medical profession. In this study, the main focus was on predicting the actual asthmatic occurrence, based on data on the atmospheric environment data released by the government and the frequency of asthma outbreaks. First of all, this study verified the significant effects of each air pollutant with a time lag on the outbreak of asthma through the time-lag Pearson Correlation Coefficient. Second, train data built on the basis of verification results are utilized in Deep Learning algorithms, and models optimized for predicting the asthmatic occurrence are designed. The average error rate of the model was about 11.86%, indicating superior performance compared to other machine learning-based algorithms. The proposed model can be used for efficiency in the national insurance system and health budget management, and can also provide efficiency in the deployment and supply of medical personnel in hospitals. And it can also contribute to the promotion of national health through early warning of the risk of outbreak by atmospheric environment for chronic asthma patients.

In this study, abiotic transformation of 1-naphthol(1-NP) via oxidative-coupling reaction and its reaction products were investigated in the presence of Mn oxides. The reaction products were characterized for their relative polarity using solvent extraction experiment and reverse-phase HPLC, and for structure using CCMS and LC/MS, and for absorption characteristics using UV-Vis spectrometry. The reaction products present in aqueous phase were more polar than parent naphthol and comprised of 1,4-naphthoquinon(1,4-NPQ) and oligomers such as dimers and trimers. Hydrophilic component present in water phase after solvent$(CH_2Cl_2)$ extractions was identified as naphthol polymerized products having molecular weight(m/z) ranging from 400 to 2,000, and showed similar UV-Vis. absorption characteristics to that of foil fulvic acid. Transformation of 1,4-NPQ, which is non-reactive to Mn oxide, to the polymerized products via cross-coupling reaction in the presence of 1-NP was also verified. In this experimental conditions(20.5 mg/L, 1-NP, 2.5 g/L $MnO_2$, pH 5), the transformation of 1-NP into the oligomers and polymerized products were about 83% of initial 1-NP concentrations, and more than 30% of the reaction products was estimated to be water insoluble fractions, not extracted by $H_2O$ methanol. Results from this study suggest that Mn oxide-mediated treatment of naphthol contaminated soils can achieve risk reduction through the formation of oligomers md polymer precipitation.

Digital twin is a technology that virtualizes physical objects of the real world on a computer. It is used by collecting sensor data through IoT, and using the collected data to connect physical objects and virtual objects in both directions. It has an advantage of minimizing risk by tuning an operation of virtual model through simulation and responding to varying environment by exploiting experiments in advance. Recently, artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies have been attracting attention, so that tendency to virtualize a behavior of physical objects, observe virtual models, and apply various scenarios is increasing. In particular, recognition of each robot's motion is needed to build digital twin for co-robot which is a heart of industry 4.0 factory automation. Compared with modeling based research for recognizing motion of co-robot, there are few attempts to predict motion based on sensor data. Therefore, in this paper, an experimental environment for collecting current and inertia data in co-robot to detect the motion of the robot is built, and a motion prediction model based on the collected sensor data is proposed. The proposed method classifies the co-robot's motion commands into 9 types based on joint position and uses current and inertial sensor values to predict them by accumulated learning. The data used for accumulating learning is the sensor values that are collected when the co-robot operates with margin in input parameters of the motion commands. Through this, the model is constructed to predict not only the nine movements along the same path but also the movements along the similar path. As a result of learning using SVM, the accuracy, precision, and recall factors of the model were evaluated as 97% on average.

In March 2016, a 6.67-ton fishing boat capsized owing to the loss of stability during crane operations. Capsizing occurs when a boat or ship is flipped over (or turned upside down) for reason other than accidents caused by collisions, contact, stranding, fire or explosion. Over the past nine years (2010-2018), capsize accidents have accounted for 2.34 % of all marine accidents and are gradually increasing. The loss of stability from improper shipping is the main cause of most capsizes, especially for small fishing vessels weighing 10 tons. According to the Fishing Vessel Act, small fishing vessels weighing less than a ton are exempted from inspections on stability and load cranes. This study analyzes the issue cited as the reason for the capsizing of the small fishing boat in Goseong, namely, the reduction of restoring moment due to increased weight of the crane. Fishing boats with similar loading conditions were modeled on the basis of re-determination, and their stability before and after the accident was assumed. The fishing boats with heavier cranes were found to be at higher risk of capsizing owing to the reduction of the restoring moment and the angle of deck immersion. Under standard loading conditions, the stability moments of fishing vessels are lesser during fishing, compared to when they depart from or arrive at the port.

Generally, the propeller shaft that constitutes the ship shaft system has different patterns of behavior due to the ef ects of engine power, propeller load and eccentric thrust, which increases the risk of bearing failure by causing local load variations. To prevent this, different studies of the propulsion shaft system have been conducted focused the relative inclination angle and oil film retention between the shaft and the support bearing, mainly with respect to the Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships. However, in order to secure the stability of the propulsion shaft via a more detailed evaluation, it is necessary to consider dynamic conditions, including the transient state due to sudden change in the stern wakefield. In this context, a 50,000 DWT vessel was analyzed using the strain gauge method, and the effects of propeller shaft movement were analyzed on the starboard rudder turn which is a typical transient state during normal continuous rate(NCR) operation in ballast draught condition. Analysis results confirm that the changed propeller eccentric thrust acts as a force that temporarily pushes down the shaft to increase the local load of the stern tube bearing and negatively affects the stability of the shaft system.

The health care environment becomes more competitive every day. It has fallen to nurse managers - from vice presidents of patient care to nurse managers and their assistants - to recruit and develop a workforce that successfully meets the needs of both patients and the organization. This means employees who demonstrate advanced critical thinking skills, creative problem solving, and sound decision making skills combined with clinical skills and patient advocacy. The environment which nurse managers create and the way they relate to their workforce, are pivotal to organizational viability. Especially leadership of first -line nurse managers contributes to the success of their organizations. First-line nurse managers are deserved to be one of the most administrative supervisors through the middle stratum in a hospital organization as being a manager in the field service if assessed from the overall aspects of hospital, as being an interim managers in the nursing department as well as being a supreme supervisor in a unit in terms of an organizational structure in the hospital. Similarly, as a compete leader, the first-line nurse managers have not only a professional which is qualified to perform a role of appropriate coordination with medical staff and key personnel but also hold an important key position a being responsible for performing his or her given role. The first-line nurse manager is expected to manage human and fiscal resources in ways not required before. While an identified need for well-prepared first-line nurse manager continues to plague the profession, first-line nurse managers often have difficulty providing the leadership required. The need leadership training to function effectively in their positions. But we hardly find a useful leadership training program for first-line nurse managers, therefore the purpose of this study was to developed the leadership training program for them. The steps of leadership program development were below: 1st step, 2 studies were done before develop a leadership program. One was done to ask to first-line nurse managers what they want to learn through leadership training, the other one was to ask the staff nurses what their opinions are for their first-line nurse managers leadership. 2nd step was searching other leadership programs contents. The results of this study were below: The total amount of hours is 24. Leadership training program contents are : Future of nursing profession (210min), understanding basic factor's of leadership and leadership theories(310 min), self understanding as first- line nurse managers(320 min), basic principle and practice of interpersonal relationship(210 min), assertiveness training, conflict management (180min), and group study(210min). This is challenging time to be a leader, especially in nursing. As nurse managers look toward the new millennium, it seems as through the same struggles are ahead that are behind. So nurse managers need to embrace change with a positive attitude. They need to demonstrate risk taking and support it in their staffs. All these things are possible that after they participate the leadership training program.

Objective: To study the PLCE1 gene rs2274223 polymorphism with regard to esophageal cancer and its interaction with diet, lifestyle, psychological and environmental factors in Southwest Shandong province. Materials and Methods: A case series study (case-case) was conducted. Questionnaire data were collected and 3 ml-5ml venous blood was drawn for DNA extraction among the qualified research subjects. PLCE1 gene polymorphism was detected after PCR amplification of DNA. SPSS 13.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the data. Results: The three genotypes A/A, A/G and G/G PLCE1 gene rs2274223 was 31, 16 and 4 cases, accounting for 60.8%, 31.4%, 0.08% respectively. The difference of three genotypes (AA/GA/GG) proportion between negative and positive family history of patients was statistically significant, ${\chi}^2=6.213$, p=0.045. There was no statistically significant relationship between PLCE1 gene rs2274223 polymorphism and smoking, drinking, ${\chi}^2=0.119$, p=0.998, and ${\chi}^2=1.727$, p=0.786. There was no linkage of the three rs2274223 PLCE1 gene genotypes (AA/GA/GG) proportion with eating fried, pickled, hot, mildew, overnight, smoked, excitant food, eat speed, salt taste or not (p>0.05). or with living environment pollution and nine risk factors of occupational exposure (p>0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in TS scores between different genotype of rs2274223 PLCE1 gene. Conclusions: The PLCE1 rs2274223 polymorphism has a relationship with family history of esophageal cancer, but does not have any significant association with age, gender, smoking, alcohol drinking, food hygiene, eating habits, living around the environment and occupation in cases.
