  • Industrial processes and operations can not be accomplished independently but are connected with each others through suppliers and customer, and these ideas are fundamental notions of Life Cycle Assessment(LCA). This paper will introduce Life Cycle Assessment(LCA) in environment which is rising, and would like to build environmental management system using approach of Quality Function Deployment(QFD) and Safety Function Deployment(SFD) belonging to the assessment method.

  • As environmental damage increase by a highly developed material civilization of today, many companies take a growing immensely interest in the influence of environment for beginning a new paradigm year by year. The previous assessments dose not run the gamut of industry but is confined within a certain facility or an area. Industrial processes and operations can not be accomplished independently but are connected with each others through suppliers and customer, and these ideas are fundamental notions of Life Cycle Assessment(LCA).   • Network Function Virtualization (NFV) environment can deal with dynamic changes in traffic status with appropriate deployment and scaling of Virtualized Network Function (VNF). However, determining and applying the optimal VNF deployment is a complicated and difficult task. In particular, it is necessary to predict the situation at a future point because it takes for the process to be applied and the deployment decision to the actual NFV environment. In this paper, we randomly generate service requests in Multiaccess Edge Computing (MEC) topology, then obtain training data for machine learning model from an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) solution. We use the simulation data to train the machine learning model which predicts the optimal VNF deployment in a predefined future point. The prediction model shows the accuracy over 90% compared to the ILP solution in a 5-minute future time point.

  • We achieved a Quantitative economic growth through rapid developed in 1970' and 1980'. It was confronted after IMF crisis that we needed to improve the past economic policy and the industrial structure. In line of that, the problem of the industrial structure like huge accidents of 1990' converted the recognition of safety. And to improve the conversion, the research of a safety management was needed. In this paper, we thought 4M1E(Man, Machine, Method, Material, Environment) as the cause of accident using the principal of process, assuming that output is accident. Applying 4M1E to the structure of QFD(Quality Function Deployment), we propose the safety function deployment, which has the flow line as followed; demand safety, safety characteristic, direct cause, 4M1E and safety management.

  • In this study, we first define user requirements to fulfill the reconnaissance and the search missions, by analyzing the system characteristics and operation environment. By investigating the design technology level, the development and procurement costs, the strong system design concepts and possible alternatives will be proposed. To analyze the system requirements, the Quality Function Deployment of the systems engineering approach will be implemented. The promising design alternatives that satisfy the user requirements are extracted by constructing the Morphological Matrix, then the best design concept will be obtained using the Pugh Concept Selection Matrix and the TOPSIS(Technique of Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution).

  • In a competitive environment, selecting and effectively pursing the right information system investments can be a key factor in sustaining corporate viability and prosperity. This study applies quality function deployment(QFD) to the determination of information system development priority. The intent of QFD is to incorporate the needs of a customer through the various stages of product planning and manufacturing into a final product. The basic idea of our study is to translate the core competence and the competitive environment into the business strategy, and the critical success factors, and subsequently into information system development priority. Our method is applied to a motor company for the determination of the information system development priority. The company case is illustrated step by step with real data of the company and motor market.

  • A Mobile IP is considered for the efficient mobility function in IEEE 802.16/WiBro environment. However, during the deployment of WiBro, only some of the ACRs(Access Control Router) can support the Mobile IP function. Therefore, a WiBro network can not support the mobility function for the mobile node. In this paper, we implement an overlay-based Mobile IP function and measure the performance through a field trial. Moreover, we evaluate the possibility of commercial deployment and suggest areas that need to be improved.

  • In order to enhance the understanding of social commerce which is widely spreading globally in a few years, the characteristics selecting social commerce company are analyzed by using quality function deployment(QFD) that is popular in quality management area. To achieve this purpose, this study investigates the concept, market environment, and major competitors of social commerce and interactive relationship between customer's requirements and service characteristics was uncovered by using the house of quality(HOQ) which is a method of QFD. In addition, this study proposes the conceptual model integrating analytic hierarchy process(AHP) and QFD by quantitatively evaluating the importance of customer's requirements and service characteristics.

  • The purpose of this study are in selecting a core service and drawing an analysis functions and service sector, based on contents of geo-spatial big data. For the study, the demand survey in the methodology has to be done by reviewing of preceding geo-spatial big data service. The survey has conducted by targeting on those experts in Industry-Academy-Research cooperation. From the survey, we could draw out requirements for the analysis function and the geo-spatial big data service sector. Also, order of priorities in service of four fields(Society, Environment, Economy, Humanities) has been utilized by a QFD(Quality Function Deployment). With the data, the first two priorities and required sectors for each field were selected for the analysis functions. From the result, we could suggest the core service model(plan), and also expect developments following each sectoral core service in the future.

Self-adaptation Service with Context-awareness on Active Network for Ubiquitous Computing Environment (유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경을 위한 액티브네트워크상의 문맥인식성을 고려한 자치 적응성 서비스)

  • A self-adaptation with context-awareness is needed within network to meet costumed services according a user's changing constraints. But the existing network has many difficulty in adding new functions because of slow standardization of network and slow deployment of new services. To solve this problem, an active network can support the suitable environment to add new function such as self- adaptation. Therefore, this Paper suggests Self Adaptation Service(SAS) using agent-based active network and the constraint-based Service Creation Environment(SCE) to support self-adaptation with context-awareness. SAS provides benefits to support the context-aware service and the fast deployment of new services.
