Development of High Reliability Monitoring and Control System for Platform Screen Door (승강장 스크린 도어(PSD)에 대한 고 신뢰성의 감시 및 제어 시스템 개발)

  • PSD is automatically opened and closed when subway train arrive on the station. This system was designed to control electric automatic system. These doors will provide passenger safety, energy saving and a good environment in subway. The monitoring and control systems of PSD are configured so that they can be operated in automatic mode in connection with ATO through the composite control panel in the station control room. The objective of this paper is to obtain high reliability that is essential for monitoring and control systems of PSD. The power supply is based on protection circuit using DC power bridge from two UPS. Also, stable communication system consists of CAN communication line redundancy and RF cross protection algorithm. Monitoring state display results show the validity of the proposed high reliability monitoring and control systems of PSD.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a XCP (Xeline Control Protocol) network system. XCP is an information oriented protocol which delivers information with high reliability according to the predefined rule. The XCP network system is implemented with partly hardware and partly software based on the power line communication(PLC) environment. A network management tool which interacts with devices is also developed. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed architecture, the implemented XCP network system is evaluated using a lighting control system.

  • The objective of this paper is to survey and put in perspective the existing methods of dynamic filter development. This includes theories and practices for linear and nonlinear filters, multiple model filters, and data association methods for tracking in multitarget environment. The presentation of this paper is motivated by recent surge of interest in the area of designing feedback control systems with reduced number of sensors, detection and identification of abrupt changes, and multitarget tracking in clutter. It is hoped to be useful in view of the need to take a grasp of existing techniques before using them in practice and developing new techniques.

  • This paper presents an adaptive receding horizon H$_{\infty}$ controller for the linear parameter varying systems in the deterministic environment, which combines a parameter range estimator and a robust receding horizon H$_{\infty}$ controller using the parameter bounds. Using parameter set inclusion and terminal inequality condition, the closed-loop system stability is guaranteed. It is shown that the stabilizing adaptive receding horizon H$_{\infty}$ controller guarantees the H$_{\infty}$ norm bound.

  • This paper reports the experimental results for the determination of the overall partition coefficient of VOCs in unsaturated soil, A chromatographic method was used for the determination of gaseous partition coefficients to natural soil under various water content conditions. The equilibrium vapor pressure of water over saturated salt solution was used to fix the relative humidity of the air and control the water content of the soil systems. The transport behavior was studied for dichloromethane, trichloroethane and dichlorobenzene pollutants, with log octanol-water partition coefficients(log $K_{ow}$ ) which range from 1.25 to 3.39, or water to soil partitioning which varies by 135 times; water solubility constants which vary by 3 times; and vapor pressures which range from 1 to 362 torr. Water content of the soil had a pronounced effect on the effective partition coefficient(between gas and soil + water stationary phase) as well as on the effective dispersion coefficient.

  • biped robots are expected to robustly traverse terrain with various unknown surfaces. The robot will occasionally encounter the unexpected events in made-for human environments. The slipping is a very real and serious problem in the unexpected events. The robot system must respond to the unexpected slipping after it has occurred and before control is lost. This paper proposes a reflex control method for biped robots to recover from slipage. Computer simulations with the 6-DOF environment model which consists of nonlinear dampers, nonlinear springs, and linear springs, show that the proposed method is effective in preventing fall-down due to slippage.

  • Enterprises confronted the Environment of infinite competition should be prepared to abrupt variations of management environment and have the ability to be changed in short term. It has to be studied, the control method of products that correspond to molt-functionalization and reduced product life which is caused by high-quality and varied customers demands. As a process control method, we must be able not only to control varies characteristic in a control at once but also to detected special values quickly for high-quality.   • As one of the developing countries in the world trade market, we have to apply the environmental concept at the development of a product for environmentally conscious manufacturing system(ECMS). Traditionally, production control model has been studied based on a new product manufacturing environment. However, ECMS such as a remanufacturing system should be developed and implemented for highly competitive environment in 21C. The objective of this study was to extend the research of production control model by applying it at the remanufacturing environment of ECMS and to test the applicability of current production control model at the remanufacturing environment by the simulation experimental study.
