  • This paper presents a design methodology of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnets. The magnet consists of several double pancake coils with a variety of wire width. This technique, named Multi-Width, is well known to make efficient use of the superconducting wire. It is common for design of high-temperature superconducting magnets to not only reduce wire consumption used, but also consider the homogeneity of the magnetic field. In this paper, we study a design method that efficiently reduces wire usage while considering magnetic field homogeneity. The design is carried out by calculating the critical current and the critical magnetic field according to the configuration of arranging the thickness of the wire to determine the number of windings. The width of wire comprising the magnet was set to 4 - 12 mm, and the number of double pancake coils was set to an even number to consist of top-down symmetry. To verify the validity of the design, we compared the progress of the design code with a complete enumeration survey. As a case study, we designed a magnet that generates a central magnetic field of 3 T or more in a 240 mm bore in diameter. Optimality can be evaluated by weighing wire consumption and field homogeneity according to the magnet's use or user preference.

  • Ancient Iranians highly esteemed the horse and horse tacks, one of which is the jul (saddlecloth). It is a felt, sheepskin, or woven pad placed between the horse's back and saddle. The aim of this paper is to identify and categorize jul designs in the Sāsānian period. The research questions are about the variety of jul designs and how to categorize them. This is fundamental research and the method is descriptive and analytical. Neither a jul nor a saddle-cover remains from the Sāsānian period, therefore the statistical population includes all available items, such as metal and stone items and parget and plasterworks, in which juls are recognizable. Due to the scarcity of such items, all the available samples were studied; so the sampling method is a total enumeration. This is documentary research by means of note-taking and using reliable websites; the data has been analyzed qualitatively. The results show that jul designs were not diverse in the Sāsānian period. All-over designs were dominant. In terms of pattern types, these designs are classified into five groups, each of which has its own formal and aesthetic characteristics: all-over design with a four-petal flower pattern, allover design with a checkered pattern, all-over design with a spotted pattern, allover design with a tiger stripe pattern, and all-over design with a zigzag pattern.

  • Attackers tend to use similar vulnerabilities when finding their next target IT assets. They also continuously search for new attack targets. Therefore, it is essential to find the potential targets of attackers in advance. Our method proposes a novel approach for efficient vulnerable asset management and zero-day response. In this paper, we propose the ability to detect the IT assets that are potentially infected by the recently discovered vulnerability based on clustering and similarity results. As the experiment results, 86% of all collected assets are clustered within the same clustering. In addition, as a result of conducting a similarity calculation experiment by randomly selecting vulnerable assets, assets using the same OS and service were listed.

  • To enumerate Staphylococcus aureus in food, Baird-Parker Agar (BPA) is usually used in the conventional method, However it requires time and space for the preparation and plating, and incubation. Thus, use of the $3M^{TM}$ $Petrifilm^{TM}$ Staph Express Count Plate (STX Petrifilm) might be appropriate to solve these challenging problems. The purpose of this study was to compare the efficiency of STX Petrifilm with BPA for enumeration of S. aureus in various foods. A mixture of S. aureus strains ATCC29213, ATCC25923, and ATCC13565 was inoculated on marinated pork chop, beef (chuck tender), dried filefish, semi-dried squid, rice cake, and Japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) at 2, 3, 5, and 7 Log CFU/g. S. aureus cell counts were enumerated by spread-plating on STX Petrifilm and BPA after 0 and 24 hours at $4^{\circ}C$ (marinated pork chop, beef, semi-dried squid, and stir-fried glass noodles) and $25^{\circ}C$ (dried filefish and rice cake). Recovery of STX Petrifilm for S. aureus from various food samples was compared with BPA, and the results showed that there were no significant differences between two selective media in all cases. The results indicated that STX Petrifilm had enough efficiency to recover S. aureus from various foods as well as saving time and space.

  • Recently the incorporation of artificial intelligence approaches in the field of software engineering has been one of the big topics. In the world, there are actively studying in two directions: 1) software engineering for artificial intelligence and 2) artificial intelligence for software engineering. We attempt to apply artificial intelligence to software engineering to identify and refactor bad code module areas. To learn the patterns of bad code elements well, we must have many datasets with bad code elements labeled correctly for artificial intelligence in this task. The current problems have insufficient datasets for learning and can not guarantee the accuracy of the datasets that we collected. To solve this problem, when collecting code data, bad code data is collected only for code module areas with high-complexity, not the entire code. We propose a method for exploring common weakness enumeration by learning the collected dataset based on transfer learning of the CodeBERT model. The CodeBERT model learns the corresponding dataset more about common weakness patterns in code. With this approach, we expect to identify common weakness patterns more accurately better than one in traditional software engineering.

  • The quantitative accuracy of dry rehydratable film method was compared with the standard culture method to analyze the applicability of dry rehydratable film in the total aerobic bacteria test for water. The materials used in this study were 500 cases of water and were tested according to the Korean official test method for drinking water. The mean value of the total aerobic bacteria in plate count agar(PCA) and MC-Media Pad AC(MAC) were 2.6 ± 1.1 Log cfu/mL and 2.6 ± 1.2 Log cfu/mL. The p value and correlation coefficient(R2) were 0.933 and 0.9985 between the PCA and MAC, respectively, indicating no significant difference and very high correlation. According to the water types, the p value and R2 were 0.887 and 0.9911 in the PCA and MAC. In the purified water, the p value was 0.973 and R2 was 0.9934 in the PCA and MAC of other water. In each type of water, there were no significant differences between the PCA and MAC, and the correlation was very high. Thus, it is suggested that the MAC would be available for total aerobic bacteria test for water.

  • Mold is one of the important bio-aerosols affecting human health in the indoor environment. To manage mold contamination, it is necessary to use an appropriate method for its detection and enumeration. Recently, the impaction method of ISO 16000-18 has been established as one of methods to detect and enumerate molds in air. To investigate the general use of the impaction method for mold detection in domestic indoor environments, the suitability of the method was assessed using different antibiotics, media and air samplers. All of the three antibiotics tested - ampicillin, chloramphenicol and streptomycin - showed inhibitory effects on bacterial colony formation on MEA and DG-18 media, without inhibiting mold growth. Of these three antibiotics, ampicillin was the most effective. There was no statistical difference between MEA and DG-18 media in the measurement of mold concentration. The formation of discriminative colony morphology was more apparent in DG-18 media. No significant difference in the measurement of mold concentration was found between Andersen samplers and MAS-100NT samplers, which are two major samplers introduced in Korea.

  • This study aimed to propose a fashion design development method using the external and internal characteristics of the flower and bird paintings in traditional Korean folk paintings. As a research method, external and internal characteristics of folk paintings were examined through previous studies and literature research, and folk painting patterns were developed into digital textile designs. Five 3D digital fashion designs were proposed using the CLO 3D program. The external characteristics of folk paintings were as follows: simplification and planarization of object representation, diversification of viewpoints, ignorance of perspective and symmetrical enumeration, strong colors and contrast effects, and the simultaneous representation of time. The internal characteristics of folk paintings were as follows: symbolic meaning, the beauty of free humor, modest aesthetics, complexity of reality and fantasy, and desire of shamanism. The results are as follows. Firstly, the flower and bird painting was a decorative painting style that emphasized decorative beauty and was suitable for developing fashion designs with Korean originality because of the symbolic and internal meanings. Simple layouts and bold free-spirited representations were effective ways to fill the screen with objects and gave the pattern a decorative effect. Secondly, developing a virtual clothing prototype based on digital design method using the external and internal characteristics of folk paintings and producing realistic fashion designs suggest the integrated use of science and technology, embodying modern fashion through the combination of digital fashion content and traditional cultural content. Thirdly, as a result of the development of 3D digital fashion designs, an eco-friendly and sustainable fashion design methods with virtual clothing can suggest a design development method that saves time and cost in the fashion design process while considering the environment.

  • Assessment of microorganism viability is useful in many industrial fields. A large number of methods associated with the use of fluorescent probes have been developed, including fluorimetry, fluorescence microscopy, and cytometry. In this study, a microvolume spectrofluorometer was used to measure the membrane potential variations of Escherichia coli. In order to estimate the sensitivity of the device, the membrane potential of E. coli was artificially disrupted using an ionophore agent: carbonyl cyanide 3-chlorophenylhydrazone. The membrane potential was evaluated using two ratiometric methods: a Rhodamine 123/4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole combination and a JC-10 ratiometric probe. These methods were used to study the impact of freezing on E. coli, and were compared with the conventional enumeration method. The results showed that it was beneficial to use this compact, easy-to-use, and inexpensive spectrofluorometer to assess the viability of bacterial cells via their membrane potential.
