The Effects of Entrance Examination Stress on Oral Health Behavior and Subjective Oral Health in Female High School Students

  • Background: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of entrance exam stress on oral health behaviors and subjective oral health status in female high school students. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was administered to 216 female high school students in the Gwangju area. We performed an independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Results: The average of the entrance exam stress was 2.73, and among the sub-areas, the tension for exam/poor stress was the highest with 3.21. As a result of analysis of general characteristics and subjective oral health status, oral mucosal disease was lower in family income level (p<0.05), bad breath was significantly higher with lower academic performance (p<0.001) and family income level (p<0.05). As a result of oral health behavior and subjective oral health status analysis, dental caries has more than 4 times of caries snacks (per week) (p<0.05), bad breath was found to be more perceived when the average number of daily brushing was 2 or less (p<0.01). Factors affecting subjective oral health status were that dental caries was a patients pressure stress (β=0.202); temporomandibular disorder (β=0.227), xerostomia (β=0.342), and oral mucosal disease (β=0.190) were insufficient spare time; bad breath was academic performance (lower) (β=0.231) and insufficient spare time (β=0.184). There was a statistically significant positive correlation between the subjective oral health status and the subarea of entrance exam stress, excluding future uncertainty stress. Conclusion: It is considered that oral health education should be conducted to prevent oral diseases for students with high parental pressure and insufficient spare time stress as well as finding practical ways to reduce entrance stress.

정보영재아동의 관찰추천제 입학성적과 수행평가 성적의 상관관계 분석 연구 (A Study on Correlation Analysis of Entrance Scores by Observation and Nomination System and Performance Assessment Scores for Gifted Children in IT)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정보영재아동의 관찰추천제 입학성적과 수행평가 성적의 상관관계를 분석하는 것이다. 즉 관찰추천제를 통해 입학한 정보영재아동이 입학한 후 재학기간의 성적을 분석함으로써 관찰추천제의 신뢰성을 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 관찰추천제로 입학한 대학부설 과학영재교육원의 정보영재반 학생들의 입학성적순위와 수행평가 성적순위를 토대로 하여 상관관계 분석을 실시하였다. 통계분석을 통한 결과, 입학성적과 수행평가 성적사이에 유의미한 상관관계가 있었다. 즉 입학성적이 뛰어나면 입학 후 학업성적도 뛰어나다는 결론을 얻었다. 본 연구결과는 향후 영재교육에 있어서 관찰추천제를 통한 영재선발 기회의 확대에 긍정적인 영향과 더불어서 이를 통한 IT산업에 있어서 인력양성 방안에 시사점을 제공한다.

2000년 5월 제주도 주변해역의 해황 및 표층 저염분수의 출현 (Oceanographic Conditions in the Neighboring Seas of Cheju Island and the Appearance of Low Salinity Surface Water in May 2000)

  • In the adjacent seas of Cheju Island, the oceanographic conditions show low salinity surface waters starting in May. This water flows from the southeast part of the China Coastal Water, which flows southeastward along the Great Yangtze Sand Bank until April, with the help of southeasterly winds and flows from the adjacent sea off Cheju Island. In May, the Tsushima Warm Current and the low salinity surface water fluctuate in short and long-term periods as influenced by Yellow Sea Cold Water, which flows to the bottom layer at the western entrance of Cheju Strait. Temperature and salinity fronts in the northeastern sea area of U Island are formed in the boundary area between the Tsushima Warm Current, which expands towards Cheju Island from the southeastern sea area of Cheju Island and Hows out from the eastern entrance of the strait. Seasonally, additional oceanographic conditions, such as coastal counter-currents, which flow southward, appears within limited areas in the adjacent eastern and western seas of Cheju Island.

솔수염하늘소의 유충침입공과 성충탈출공의 측정과 소나무 내 분포 (Measurement and Within-tree Distribution of Larval Entrance and Adult Emergence Holes of Japanese Pine Sawyer, Monochamus alternatus(Coleoptera: Cerambycidae))

  • 1999년부터 2002년까지 경남 진주의 소나무재선충에 의한 피해임지 내에서 고사목을 대상으로 솔수염하늘소 유충침입공과 성충탈출공 및 번데기방의 크기와 갱도길이 등을 측정하고, 소나무 내 분포를 분석하였다. 소나무 내 솔수염하늘소의 유충 침입공수는 1$m^2$당 수관부가 56.2 개인데 비해 수간부는 27.7개로서 수관부가 훨씬 많았다. 직경이 8-l0 cm인 공시목에 침입공의 27.5%와 우화공의 22.4%가 분포하였고 이보다 굵거나 가는 공시목에는 적었다. 침입공의 형태는 타원형으로 입구의 표면적은 평균 65.8$\textrm{mm}^2$ 이었다. 성충탈출공은 원형으로서 직경은 평균 7.0mm 이었다. 공시목의 표면에서 번데기방까지의 깊이는 평균 24.8 mm이었고 번데기 방의 부피는 200-2,000 ㎣이었다 성충의 탈출공은 수관부가 수간부보다 많았으며, 공시목의 직경이 8-10cm에서 22.4%로 가장 많이 분포하였다. 유충 침입공과 성충 탈출공까지의 목질부 표면에서 직선거리는 평균 3.3 cm이었으며, 침입공에서 탈출공까지의 갱도 길이는 평균 46.2 nm이었다.

교통시뮬레이션을 활용한 고속도로 유입연결로 가속차로 진입 개선방안에 관한 연구 (Study on Entering Improvement of Acceleration Lane onto an Expressway Using a Traffic Simulation)

  • 국내 연결로 가속차로 길이는 13 PS/ton 마력의 화물차를 기준으로 산정되어 연결로를 주행하는 대부분의 차량 성능에 비해 과다하게 산출되어있다. 이로 인해, 대부분의 운전자들은 고속도로로 진입하기 위해 가속차로 전 구간에서 본선으로의 무분별한 진입 경향으로 본선 교통흐름에 영향을 미쳐 이에 대한 개선이 필요하다. 양지, 수석, 용인, 오산 각각IC의 연결로 유입부에서 차량의 속도와 진입률 및 차량별 교통량을 조사하여 VISSIM 시뮬레이션 분석을 통해 교통흐름의 개선정도를 검토하였다. 조사결과 곡선부의 단순화와 본선 교통흐름의 인지가능 시점인 노즈부에서 부터 전체차량의 74.0 %가 연결로 규정속도 이상으로 주행하였고, 가속차로 길이대비 0.8 l 지점까지 88.6 %의 차량이 본선으로 진입하였다. 실측교통량을 기반으로 연결로 유입부를 0.265 l 지점까지 의도적으로 본선으로의 교통진입을 제한하여 시뮬레이션한 결과 본선과 연결로의 흐름을 평균속도 60.1 km/h에서 68.5 km/h까지 개선할 수 있었다.

  • 최근들어 CTI(Computer Telephony Integration) 기술은 영상 회의, 파일 전송, 음성 사서함, 자동 메시지 전송, 자동 재다이얼 기능 등의 전통적인 분야에서부터 통합 메시징 및 네트워크 팩스 분야에 이르기까지 다양한 분야에 걸쳐서 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전화망을 이용한 CTI 응용분야로 대학에서 입시기간동안 수험생들의 전화 과중에 따른 업무와 학사 행정 서비스를 개선할 수 있는 CTI를 이용한 응용 시스템에 대하여 연구한다. 구현된 시스템은 최근 주목받고 있는 객체 모델링 기법(Object Modeling Technique)을 이용하여 데이터베이스를 설계하고, CTI 호출 제어 시스템을 이용하여 합격자 확인 자동 호출(Automatic Calling System), 합격자 발표 자동 안내(Automatic Response System) 등을 지원하도록 개발한다. 특히 합격자 자동 호출 시스템 구현시 합격 여부를 통지해 줄 때의 음성처리를 위하여 TTS(Text To speech) 모듈을 설계 구현한다.

촉매 변환기 내부 유동의 실험적 해석 (Experimental Analysis on the Catalytic Converter Internal Flow)

  • Increasing the active catalyst surface area is important in improving a converter's efficiency. In addition, uniform flow is advantageous in that it produces more efficient catalytic conversion. This results in the ability to use a smaller catalytic converter with uniform flow as opposed to a larger converter requirement for non-uniform flow. Therefore, it is important to characterize the internal flow of the catalytic converter. To characterize the system's flow patterns, velocity measurements were taken at the mid and exit planes of a ceramic honeycomb catalytic converter at flow rates of 37.8 l/s and 94.4 l/s. Measurements were conducted using LDV. The profiles were measured along both the major and minor axis of the planes. Primary flow direction velocities measured along the minor axis, at both flow rates, varied greatly at the mid plane and somewhat at the exit plane. The areas of greatest air flow were seen near the edges of the walls and on the side of the converter opposite the flow's entrance region. It also appears that the high velocities opposite the intake are due to the design of the entrance region. The entrance region is possibly too small to properly redirect the vertically entering fluid into an evenly distributed flow in the primary flow direction.

Empirical Investigation and Comparative Analysis of Underground Public Pedestrian Facilities in Daegu Metropolitan City

  • The study establishes the analytical frame composed of 22 items according to the category of passageway, shop, entrance and amenity for the purpose of executing the empirical investigation of the Underground Public Pedestrian Facilities in Daegu Metropolitan City of Korea. As a result of the research work, the study finds out some problems about the facilities as follows: (1) Passageway elements - the skylight was constructed only in one place. In contrast, the standards of passageway and plaza were well-fulfilled except for one or two cases. (2) Shop elements - the cases of installing shops where they should not be located were found the most, and a case of over-establishing the shop area was found as well. (3) Entrance elements - the cases not matching roof or canopy standard over entrance facilities were found the most. Overall, the entrances and their connection to the adjacent buildings are appraised as not well-established. (4) Amenity elements - these were appraised as insufficient in all except two cases. Regarding this, not only necessary are the establishment of facilities and the effort of facility managers, but also urgent is the institutional improvement.

인천항 물류시스템의 실태분석 및 개선방안에 관한 연구 -입항지원시스템을 중심으로- (A Study on the Improvement of Physical Distribution System in Inchon Port)

  • The Inchon port has been heavily congested due to the tidal restriction in passing the lock and the shortage of berths or warehouses. The current congestion is predicted to become worse by the induced traffics near the lock entrance after completion of North harbour expansion and of Kyung-In canal construction. It is also expected that the newly developed configuration of the Inchon port will result in increasing the rate of marine accidents around the lock entrance because of the over-utilization of the limited capacity of the junction from the North harbour and the Kyung-In canal. This study adopts a systematic approach in analysing the physical distribution system of the inner-lock area in order to figure out alternative routes which are designed to improve the port efficiency. Ship maneuvering simulation is also attempted to propose a new approaching route to the canal as an alternative path in order to avoid the traffic accidents caused by the extreme congestion. The result of the ship maneuvering simulation demonstrates that the alternative routes by way of Buk-Sudo, Janbong-Sudo, north of Si-Do and Sin-Do is recommended routes which can satisfy the safety requirements of approaching to the canal entrance.

자궁난관 조영술 검사 시 Speculum 재질에 따른 흡수선량의 변화에 관한 연구 (Research about the absorbed dose with speculum material-related in Hysterosalpingography)

  • The purpose of our study was to determine the entrance surface dose and absorbed dose in ovary when using the metal speculum and plastic speculum in hysterosalpingography respectively. The examinations was performed in anthropomorphic phantom into which calibrated photoluminescence glass dosimeter were placed on symphysis pubis level surface and ovary area. We checked average fluoroscopy time and spot expose times during the hysterosalpingography. It was average fluoroscopy time 58 sec, spot expose 5 times. We divided the subjects into two different groups to used metal and plastic speculum. We measured 10 times of absorbed dose in the same condition of the anthropomorphic phantom. We compared two groups adsorbed dose on ovary with speculum material-related. The entrance surface dose on of plastic Speculum using group was average 17.23 mGy, absorbed dose on ovary was average 3.51 mGy. The entrance surface dose on ovary of metal Speculum using group was average 19.95 mGy, absorbed dose on ovary was average 4.14 mGy. Plastic speculum using group shows a decrease absorbed dose(17.9%) as compared with metal speculum using group. The method of plastic speculum using in hysterosalpingography. might provide us with lower radiation dose, especially in patients with childbearing stage.
