천연가스 개질기 설계 (A Design for Natural Gas Reforming Reactor)

  • This work is for the design study of natural gas reformer (40 $m^3/hr$ over). We used experimental kinetic data from literature. After that, we set up theoretical model based on experimental reaction kinetic data. The shape of reactor is 1.7 m long and 200 mm dia. with cylinder geometry. Volume of reactor is 53.4 liter. Average flow velocity of gases in the reactor has been determined 0.272 m/sec and residence time is 9.26 sec. Reaction temperature is $850^{\circ}C$, with pressure 9.3 Bar. Used natural gas volume is about 9.21 $m^3/hr$. Produced hydrogen is 43.7 $m^3/hr$ with no change of pressure. Unreacted natural gas is 0.09 $m^3/hr$ and the amount of steam is 26.9 $m^3/hr$. Steam to $CH_4$ (s/c ratio) is 2.91. Reforming reaction take place from the reactor entrance to 120 cm region of cylinder type reactor. After the entrance of reacting gases to 120 cm region, the reaction reaches equilibrium which is close to products. This study can be applicable to design various reactors. Output data is in good agreements with the data in literatures1).

  • 현재까지 적용되고 있는 추력제어 장치로는 크게 노즐의 확대부에 장착되어 화염의 방향을 조종하는 제트베인(jet vane), 제트탭(jet tab)방식과 노즐자체를 회전하는 방식인 볼/소켓형(ball & socket) 노즐, 플렉시블 씰형 (flexible seal)노즐로 구분된다. 본 연구는 노즐자체를 회전하여 추력방향을 제어하는 볼/소켓형(ball & socket) 노즐이 회전할 경우 발생되는 유입부의 비대칭성이 노즐 성능에 미치는 영향을 예측하기 위하여 수행한 3차원 수치해석결과와 공압시험 결과를 수록하였다. 유동해석 결과 유입부의 비대칭성이 유동에 미치는 영향은 노즐 목까지 점차적으로 줄어들고 하류 유동에 미치는 영향이 미비하였으며 해석된 주 추력의 크기는 시험에서 측정된 추력과 비슷한 경향을 나타내었으나 측 추력의 경우 시험 값보다 낮게 나타났다.

  • The purpose of this study was to inquiry of perception on outcomes and challenges of vocational education division CSAT by industry department teachers of specialized vocational high school. Therefore, it is highly desirable that researchers to survey what are the biggest outcomes of vocational education division CSAT and positive ripple effects of outcomes, what are the biggest challenges of vocational education division CSAT and importance of challenges undertaken 10 years. The survey included 100 industry department teachers of specialized vocational high school on 9 region from Korea. The analysis of survey results was by regions, industry department teacher's career of specialized vocational high school. The results are as follows. The biggest outcomes of vocational education division CSAT was extension of opportunity on continuing education and supply a demand for entrance university on specialized vocational high school students. The biggest positive ripple effects of the outcomes was also extension of opportunity on continuing education and supply a demand for entrance university on specialized vocational high school students. The biggest challenges of vocational education division CSAT and importance of challenges was not to use vocational education division CSAT score for the entrance on the most universities.

人工조도 가 있는 二重同心圓管 의 亂流 熱傳達 解析 (Analysis of Turbulent Heat Transfer in a Concentric Annular Pipe with Artificial Roughness)

  • Experimental results for the variation of the flow characteristics and heat transfer coefficients in the entrance region of concentric annular pipe with artificial roughness are compared with the theoretical results by numerical analysis. In the experiments, velocity profiles, pressure gradients and heat transfer coefficients were measured with variation of the Reynolds number for the constant ratio of pitch to height at the hydrodynamic entry region. Wall temperature of inner heated pipe with constant heat flux was measured at thermal entry region after the hydrodynamically fully developed region of flow. Experimental data agree well with numerical predictions. Both results show that turbulent flow of annular pipe with artificial roughness is fully developed thermally much faster than that of smooth pipe. Nusselt number of annular pipe with roughness is much higher than that of smooth pipe. However the ratios of Nusselt number of annular pipe with artificial roughness to that of smooth pipe does not vary with Reynolds number.

  • This paper investigates the control problem of evaporator superheat, i.e., the difference between the temperature of the refrigerant at the entrance region of an evaporator and that at the exit region, for multi-type air-conditioning/refrigeration systems. Mathematical equations describing the characteristics of compressor, condenser, evaporator, and electronic expansion valve are first derived. Then, the transfer functions from the current input of the electronic expansion valve to wall temperatures of evaporator tube at two-phase region and superheated region, respectively, are derived. The stability and performance of the closed loop system with a PI controller are analyzed by Nyquist stability criterion. Simulation results are provided.

공용중인 고속도로 터널내 연장별 온도 조사 분석 (Analysis of temperature distribution per length in highway tunnel)

  • 본 논문에서는 터널별로 매설된 온도계의 연중계측을 통하여 년 중 온도변화특성과 갱구부로부터의 길이별 온도변화특성, 터널연장별 대기 온도변화특성, 지표부 온도 변화특성을 분석하였다. 터널의 연장별 터널내 바닥부 온도 분포에 대한 분석 결과 입구부와 출구부가 다른 온도분포를 보임을 알 수 있었다. 출구부에서의 터널내 바닥부 표면온도 분포는 출구부에서 50m 지점까지는 온도가 변하다가 50m 이후 깊이에서는 터널연장에 상관없이 거의 일정한 온도분포를 보임을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 입구부에서의 터널내 바닥부 표면온도 분포는 출구부와 달리 터널내 길이 약 125~150m 지점에서 본도분포가 변하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이는 입구부로 유입되는 찬공기가 풍향 및 풍속의 영향을 받아 터널깊이 약 125~150m 지점까지 영형을 끼치는 것으로 보인다.

LDV에 의한 곡관덕트에서 난류맥동유동의 유동특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Flow Characteristics of Turbulent Pulsating Flow in a Curved Duct by using LDV)

  • In the present study, flow characteristics of turbulent pulsating flow in a square-sectional $180^{\circ}$ curved duct were experimentally investigated. Experimental studies for air flows were conducted to measure axial velocity and wall shear stress distributions and entrance length in a square-sectional $180^{\circ}$ curved duct by using the LDV with the data acquisition and the processing system. The experiment was conducted in seven sections from the inlet (${\phi}=0^{\circ}$) to the outlet (${\phi}=180^{\circ}$) at $30^{\circ}$ intervals of the duct. The results obtained from the experimentation were summarized as follows ; (1) When the ratio of velocity amplitude ($A_1$) was less than one, there was hardly any velocity change in the section except near the wall and any change in axial velocity distributions along the phase. When the ratio of velocity amplitude ($A_1$) was 0.6, the change rate of velocity was slow. (2) Wall shear stress distributions of turbulent pulsating flow were similar to those of turbulent steady flow. The value of the wall shear stress became minimum in the inner wall aid gradually increased toward the outer wall where it became maximum. (3) The entrance length of turbulent pulsating flow reached near the region of bend angle of $90^{\circ}$, like that of turbulent steady flow. The entrance length was changed by the dimensionless angular frequency (${\omega}^+$).

  • The purpose of study was understanding necessity of environment design for underground parking lot in residential design plan and grasping design plans of 'Activity Support' that considerate women, exclude women's unsecured feeling at underground parking lot. The inquiry analyzed 6 design plan in design competition that considerate women according to precede studies, a theory of CPTED, a design guide for wayfinding, and survey. A ramp, circulation, entrance, lighting, ventilation, and space design plan are proceed on this study The result are as below. First, a rectilinear figure ramp suits entrance plan on the circulation, but if it is not possible, cross-using of rectilinear and curvilinear figure ramp plan is desirable. Second, on the circulation plan, vehicles circulation plan and equality parking distribution plan got accomplished generally, and help senses of direction because it is planed network systemize. On a large scale underground parking lot, simplify parking circulation to convenience entrance and exit for weak in sense of direction. Third, the shape and material that‘s environmentally conscious will be in use to the entrance plan. As the first stage to the underground, artwork that women prefer can modulate the rejection of underground space. Forth, natural lighting system and ventilation can make the environment-friendly space, decrease the women’s rejection to the underground, it can also keep a natural watch on the space. Fifth, on the space design plan, it can use bright and comfortable design of wall and ground to decrease the women‘s rejection, also it is useful to the sense of direction. LED indirect lighting plan that 58.7% of women prefers on survey reflects women’s state of desire that bright and atmosphere. In addition, proper use of plans that subsidiary facilities, rest area with Sunken, and nature-friendly material can minimize differences of underground and ground parking lot.

외부유동에 의한 캐버티 내의 비정상 유동특성 (Unsteady Flow in a Cavity Induced by An Oscillatory External Flow)

  • In this paper, we report the experimental results for the flow pattern and the material transport around a cavity subject to a sinusoidal external flow at the far region to ward the open side of the cavity. A tilting mechanism is used to generate a oscillatory flow inside a shallow rectangular container having a cavity at one side. The surface flow visualization is performed to obtain the unsteady behavior of vortices generated at two edges situated at the entrance of the cavity. It was found that at the period 4.5 sec., the behavior of the vortices is asymmetric, and there exists a steady residual flow in the cavity. The bottom flow patterns are also visualized. There are two regions outside of the cavity where the bottom fluid particles concentrate. The material transport in this flow model is very peculiar; fluid particles in the cavity flows outward through the passage along the walls starting from the edges, and particles in the outer region approach the cavity from the central region.

  • In the present study, velocity profile and wall shear stress distributions of developing turbulent oscillatory flows in an oscillator connected to straight duct located in exit region of a curved duct was investigated experimentally. The experimental study for air flows was conducted to measure axial velocity profiles, shear stress distributions by using the Laser Doppler Velocimetry(LDV) system with the data acquisition and processing system of Rotating Machinery Resolver(R.M.R) and PHASE software. The results obtained from experimental studies are summarized as follows. The critical Reynolds number for a change from transitional oscillatory flow to turbulent flow was about 7500, in the 60region of dimensionless axial position which was considered as a fully developed flow region. The turbulent oscillatory flow, velocity profiles of the inflow period in the entrance region were gradually developed, but those of the outflow period were not changed nearly. Velocity profiles of inflow and outflow were shown as a symmetric form in a fully developed flow region. The wall shear stress distributions of turbulent oscillatory flow increase rapidly as the flow proceeds to downstream and flow was in good agreement with the theoretically.
