Cephalhematoma is a common entity in infancy, usually caused by difficult labor. On the other hand, calcified cephalhematomas are seen infrequently, even by pediatric neurosurgeons, Indications for surgery and techniques have not been clearly defined. In this report, we present a child with a large, calcified cephalhematoma and discuss its surgical technique.

Congenital absence of a cervical spine pedicle is a rare clinical entity, and it is usually found incidentally on radiological studies performed after trauma in patients with cervical pain. We report two cases of congenital absence of a cervical spine pedicle and present a review of the literature.

이동단말기의 보급률이 높아짐에 따라 이를 이용한 지불 시스템이 제시되었고, 현재 서비스를 제공중에 있다. 이동 단말기를 이용한 지불 시스템은 폭넓은 이동통신 보급률, 편리함, 간편함, 후불결제와 같은 장점들을 가지고 있다. 그러나 사용자는 서비스 제공자가 신뢰할 수 있는 서비스/물품 제 공자인지 알 수 없다는 단점을 가지고 있다 본 문에서는 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위해서 Diffie-Hellman 키 합의 프로토콜을 이용하여 상호 인중을 보장하는 지불 시스템을 제안한다.

Bilateral pedicle stress fracture is a rare entity and few cases have been reported in the literature. Furthermore, the majority of these reports concern previous spine surgery or stress-related activities. Here, the authors report ankylosing spondylitis as a new cause of bilateral pedicle stress fractures accompanying spondylolysis. The reported case adds to the literature on bilateral pedicle stress fracture and spondylolysis by documenting that ankylosing spondylitis is another cause of this condition.

Discrete event modeling is finding ever more application to anlysis and design of complex manufacturing, communication, computer systems, etc. This paper shows how packet network systems may be advantageously represented as DEVS (Discrete Event System Specification) models by employing System Entity structure / Model base (SES/MB) framework developed by Zeigler. DEVS models and network structure representations support a strong basis for performance analysis of packet network systems. This approach is illustated in a typical packet network example with several routing strategies.

Achalasia is a functional disorder of a short segment of the lower esophagus showing obstruction of the esophagogastric junction. Dysphagia, regurgitation, and weight loss are outstanding features and are some times more apparent than the disease entity in children though achalasia is rarely encountered in children. A 6 years male had complained of dysphagia, regurgitation and severe weight loss and was operated by modified Heller`s operation. Before he was operated, he could swallowed only milk but swallowed all regular diet after being operated.

Pharyngoesophageal diverticulum is a well-known disease entity but is seldomly reported in Korean literature. Recently the authors experienced two cases of pharyngoesophageal diverticulum. A 46 year old female and a 51 year old female patients were admitted due to foreign body sensation in esophagus and dysphagia. Preoperative esophagography and esophagoscopy confirmed the diagnosis of pharyngoesophageal diverticulum in each patient. The authors performed one-stage pharyngoesophageal diverticulectomy and myotomy. Postoperative esophagography revealed no diverticulum or stenosis and symptoms were markedly relieved.

The database design for the management of bridge measurement information is presented in this paper. To express the associated data generated during the whole process of ambient measurement efficiently, requirements analysis for database construction is performed. And to define objects and organize schema conceptual and logical design are performed, which convert data model into logical schema. Finally, physical design is performed using DDL(data defined language). This database is based on the object-relational data modeling approach that has rich expressive power and good reusability in comparison with the traditional entity-relational modeling.

Session Initiation Protocol(이하 SIP)은 H.323 network에서 제기된 문제점을 해결하고 다양한 multimedia service를 제공하기위해 IETF에서 정의된 protocol로서, 3GPP의 IP Multimedia Subsystem(이하 IMS)의 기반 protocol로 채택되었다. IMS는 multimedia service를 제공하기 위한 infrastructure로서 CSCF, HSS, MRF, MGCF, IM-GW등 기능적으로 분리된 여러 entity로 구성되며, 향후 추가될 다양한 부가 service에 유연하게 대처할 수 있는 Application Server(이하 AS) mechanism을 포함하고 있다. 현재 AS mechanism을 이용하여 3GPP규격 상에 정의된 대표적 서비스는 presence service이며, presence service network은 presence server, presence agent, presence proxy, watcher등으로 구성된다. 마지막으로 상기에 언급한 규격을 바탕으로 실제 구축된 Instant messaging/presence service network을 제시한다.
