  • The VMSS(Virtual Makeup Simulation System) is a virtual simulation system which can apply makeup, hair style, accessory to user's own face image through internee connection. The simulation result can be stored to server side DB and also can be printed out on client side printer. It is implemented using Java so, clients don't need any other client program to run the VMSS except Web browser and Java Plug-in installed on browser. IIS (Internet Information Server) Web server of Window 2000 and MS-SQL 7 are used to develop the overall system. Commercial JDBC Driver Type 4 is used to connect the applet and DB. It suggests a new direction of Web-based contents service development and can be applied to many other areas.

  • As the development of information technology and thus the growth of security incidents, so implement are coming out for defense the intrusion about the system. However the error detection program has got a difficulty to find out the intrusions because that has become so many false alert messages. In this study is how to reduce the messages for the false alerts which come from the internal of the network and using the Fuzzy techniques for reduce the uncertainty of the judge. Therefore it makes the model which can decrease false alert message for better detection.

  • This study analyzed the standard school's energy usage and patterns as the zero-energy goal of primary school building, and proposed the energy reduction process of school building using energy analysis computing simulation tool. As a analysis simulation tool, Visual DOE 4.0 is used. For analysis of actual energy usage, selected primary school that is standard in the nation's energy consumption. Standard of the school's energy consumption analysis were devided into electric and gas energy. Input parameters of the simulation program based on the literature material and field survey material. after, but it was calibrated to comparison with the standard school's energy consumption. Finally, its energy usage analyzed by component and made the priority order of energy saving. Applied energy saving technologies are envelopment insulation, high efficiency lighting, high performance HAVC system and used active equipment system of solar collector and photovoltaic generation for additional savings.

  • In this paper, an IC realization of a cell-network type SC DC-DC converter is reported. To achieve small and low-cost realization, the converter is designed by using a 1.2 $\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology. The CMOS implemented converter will be useful as a building block of various mobile equipments since step-up and step-down voltages can be provided at one time. Concerning the proposed DC-DC converter, SPICE simulatiorls are performed to investigate the characteristics of the circuit. The SPICE simulations show that, the efficiency of the simulated circuit is more than 95 %. From the layout design using a CAD tool, MAGIC, the VLSI chip is fabricated in the chip fabrication program of VLSI Design and Education Center(VDEC), the University of Tokyo with the collaboration by On-Semiconductor. The proposed circuit is integrable by a standard 1.2 $\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology.

  • Recently, most embedded systems have the multi-functions mixed the hardware with the software. The existing sequence programming methods are not suitable to implement the embedded system with multi-functions. So, it can be overcome the limit of a facility implementation by introducing the operating system in system. Also, due to the requirement about the better convenient and comfortable meeting or lecture environment, the necessity of electronic white-board is getting higher. Specially, the education using multimedia information is much more desirable for various and improved lecture at the high school and the university. But the sequence program which have been managed in existing electronic white-board system has some difficulties to achieve the software-oriented systems which has to accomplish many functions. In this paper, we propose the method to implement a facility of electronic white-board through using the embedded linux with excellent performance. The embedded linux presents the powerful software environment for the implementation of an embedded system and makes the realization of many various functions easy because it follows kernel characteristics of linux. In this paper, we describe the details for the structure of hardware, kernel source and device driver of a developed electronic white-board.

  • In this paper, we look photographes of costumes and composed them as image files by extracting only costume part of the photograph excluding the background part. And we calculated representative color value to implement smart costume coordination program using complementary colors corresponding to representative color values in the costume area. And then, We have solved the problem of over-segmentation caused by extracting the costumes area by applying an anisotropic diffusion algorithm that can remove the noise of the image and flatten the gradient. In order to satisfy users' various needs, we plan to add not only complementary colors coordination but also more various color scheme.

  • In this study, characteristics simulation of heat pump system is investigated for heating and cooling using sewage water as a heat source. A simulation program for preestimate operation characteristics of heat pump system is developed. The performance of this system is resolved by several variables and the characteristics which is based on actual air and sewage temperature data. The simulation results agree well with the experimental values of COP. In the analysis of system characteristics, the COP is changed between $3\sim5$ in winter season for heating load, $4\sim6$ in summer season for cooling load. As the results of Life Cycle Cost analysis over a 15 year life cycle, the energy cost could be reduced by 250 million won if a heat pump system was used instead of a conventional boiler and an absorbtion refrigerator on the office building.

  • The possibility of replacing the condensing-prism film used in conventional backlight units with a light-guide plate engraved with a submicrometer-periodic diffraction grating was investigated. The optimal period for the diffraction grating was determined through simulation and experiment, and the transmission-mode efficiency of the diffraction grating was calculated in terms of the polar angle and azimuthal angle of the incident light. In addition, the effects of the two methods of optimizing the polar angle and the directional angle were compared by simulation, by suggesting the shape and configuration of the light-guide plate, so that more light could be extracted by diffraction. By using a ray-tracing program, the luminance angular distribution of the light-guide plate engraved with the diffraction grating was calculated and compared to the luminance angular distribution for each actual prototype.

  • In this paper, we evaluated educational effects of H-STEAM group play contents(a course) and tried to suggest a convergent model for college liberal art curriculum. We opened a mixed course(math, art, engineering, and humanities) with team teaching for this purpose. For the test, we collected data from survey, K-W-L sheet, and reflection paper from 23 students who enrolled in this course. Students should do a team project during the course, propose a new group game, and write K-W-L sheet at the end of each session and reflection paper at the final stage. As a result, it is said that H-STEAM group contents had an effect on students' satisfaction and achievement. During the course, students made academic efforts and were able to construct convergent knowledge from the four fields. From this study, we are sure that H-STEAM contents can play a substitute role for the traditional liberal arts program and innovate the curriculum for the knowledge convergence society.

  • In distributed office, the pairs can program together using a distributed pair programming system. Many CSCW tools featuring remote screen sharing function have insufficient usability, accessibility to introduce many developers to distributed pair programming. In this paper, we suggest a distributed pair programming system based on IDE, which many developers will accept and use easily. We have do#eloped a user scenario and GUI of the system, making distributed pair programming easier and designed with high extensibility by adapting design patterns and implemented in Java language. Our findings will be of significant help to developers dealing with implementation of distributed pair programming function into some commercial IDE.
