  • In order to reduce the damage of property and the loss of lives caused by slope failure, the development of an efficient cut slope management system and the proposal of an appropriate countermeasure are required. However, recognizing the cause of slope failure and proposing the adequate countermeasure for failure are difficult tasks because slope failure is occurred by many complicated failure reasons. Therefore, the cut slope database system is developed in this study for the effective tool which Is able to analyze the characteristics and relationship for reasons of slope failure. In addition, this system contributes to the curtailment of governmental budget spending for countermeasures of slope. Moreover, GIS system will be adopted to the database system and the investigation of characteristics relationship between one and another area is in progress.

  • Design of experiments based on Taguchi's orthogonal array is utilized for exploring the design space and for building response surface models of insulator and isolator database in order to facilitate the effective solution of multi-objective optimization commonly occurred in NVH problems. Response surface models, called engineering database of design space, provide an efficient means to rapidly model the trade-off among many conflicting NVH goals in automotive. In the design of insulator and isolator in automotive interior part, it is important not only to construct effective matrices of NVH but also to build up engineering database of current products. The experimental design especially based on orthogonal array and the nonlinear optimization algorithms are successfully used together to obtain the optimal design of insulator and isolator. The $2^{nd}$ order response surface models of absorption coefficient and insertion loss are constructed by using modified Taguchi's $L_{12}2^13^7$ orthogonal array and successfully used in optimal design of insulator and isolator.

  • 이 논문에서는 심장이상 관리와 심혈관 위험 평가를 위해 임상 관련성과 연관지어 주요한 요소와 원인을 파악하는데 필요한 심전도(ECG) 데이터의 시각화 분석을 위해 경험한 기술을 소개한다. 특히, MIT-BIH ECG 데이터베이스를 기반으로 복잡한 ECG 데이터를 시각화하여 다양한 차트, 그래프로 표현할 수 있는 접근방법을 소개한다. 이러한 경험 기술 소개를 통해 많은 연구자들은 ECG 데이터베이스를 보다 쉽게 접근할 수 있고 다양한 형태로 시각화된 ECG 데이터의 의미를 직관적으로 이해할 수 있다.

  • In automotive industries, reusability of product information is increasing through database construction of previous product data. The product data is stored by data quality management in product information systems. For naval ships, have the functional similarity by the ships of the same classification and class, that are built by series. Information of hull structures as well as embarked equipments are similar. So it would be effective to use database systems that are considered product information quality of previous ships in design and production processes. In this paper we discuss product information quality in database construction of naval ship product models. For this, we propose a basic concept and reference model for data quality verification. Based on this concept, A verification guideline is defined and it is applied for the case study of the digital naval ship which was built to the naval ship product model.

  • 본 논문에서는 병렬 데이터베이스 아키텍처로 널리 사용되고 있는 공유 데이터베이스 시스템에 대하여 각 구성요소에 대한 고장을 고려한 신뢰도 모델을 모델링 한다. 각 구성요소인 데이터베이스, 메모리, 프로세서, 버스는 개별적으로 고장이 날 수 있으며, 복구 모델을 이용하여 복구 될 수 있다. 시스템이 동작하는 한 복구가 가능하며, 데이터베이스가 고장 나거나, 시스템 구성요소인 프로세서, 메모리, 버스가 하나라도 고장 나면 전체 시스템이 다운되는 것으로 가정한다. 이러한 고장 및 복구조건을 고려한 시스템의 신뢰도 분석을 페트리 네트의 확장 모델이며 모델링 기능이 풍부한 마르코프 reward 모델을 이용하여 수행한다. Stochastic Reward Net(SRN)이 갖고 있는 variable cardinality, enabling 함수, 시간천이 우선순위 등의 기능을 이용하여 신뢰도 모델을 개발한다.

  • XML은 e-비지니스와 많은 응용 프로그램 사이에서 정보를 교환하는 인터넷 표준으로 자리잡고 있다. 따라서 이러한 XML 문서를 효율적으로 관리하기 위해 데이터베이스를 사용하여 저장할 필요성이 있다. 본 논문에서는 객체관계형 데이터베이스를 기반으로 XML 문서를 저장하고 검색하는 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. XML 문서를 엘리먼트로 분해하고, 각 엘리먼트 타입에 따라 저장하는 방법을 사용하였다. 또한 저장된 XML 문서를 추출할 수 있는 다양한 형태의 검색을 가능하도록 하였다.

  • Structural vibrations of generator sets with medium speed diesel engine mainly come from the resonance between the excitations of engine and natural modes of system. The countermeasures to reduce the vibration or to avoid the resonance are fairly well known to workers. However these processes which are applied after the completion of system need much time consumption and additional cost. In this paper, the vibration measurement results collected for about 8 years were compiled as Database. Based on the database, the change of vibration was predicted with respect to variation of system such as engine type, generator weight, mount stiffness, and etc. As results of study, this paper presents the anti-vibration design procedures of newly composed generator sets using Database in the initial design stage and their effects.

  • Airworthiness is a term used to dictate whether an aircraft is worthy of safe flight. It is illegal in most countries to fly an aircraft without first obtaining an airworthiness certificate from the responsible government agency. For developing an aircraft, the design modifications and upgrades are considered a high financial risk proposal for most Program Managers(PMs). However Design-to-Certification Integrated System can be a great help in achieving a good design solution in an acceptable amount of time and flight test. In this paper, we present a method to construct database for the Development of Design-to-Certification Integrated System. By using this database, the human designer could manage and find the regulation and requirements related with his concern effectively.

  • Environmental Product Life Cycle Management is an activity for defining and describing the product, process of activity environmentally. The activity involves the full life cycle stages of the product; evaluating environmental releases at each stage, determining the aggregate and specific impacts of the releases, developing opportunities to effect environmental improvements. This paper presents a methodological approach for database modeling to build Product Life Cycle Management system and show a set of database modeling. Additionally, a key issue for database is the quality of the provided information.

  • In automated search of a design database to support mechanical design, it is necessaryto recognize a shape pattern which represents a design object. This paper introduces the concept of a surface relation graph (SRG) for recognizing shape patterns from a 3D boundary representation scheme of a solid model(a B-rep model). In SRG, the nodes and arcs correspond to the faces and edges shared by two adjacent faces, respectively. An attribute assigned to an arc is given by an integer which discriminates the relationship between two adjacent faces. The + sign of the integer represents the geometric convexity of the solid, and the -sign the concivity at the shared edge. The input shape is recognized by comparison with the predefined features which are subgraphs of the SRG. A hierarchyof the database for upporting the design is presented. A search for the design database is also discussed. The usefulness of this method is illustrated by some application results.
