GHP 운전시 COV에 의한 정상상태 판별 및 이상검출 방법 연구 (A Study on Steady-State Criterion based on COV and a Fault Detection Method during GHP Operation)

  • Fault detection has to be proceeded by steady state filtering to get rid of transient effect associated with thermal capacity. Coefficient of variance (COV), ratio of standard deviation devided by moving average, was employed as steady-state filter. Engine speed and refrigerant pressures were selected as parameters representing system dynamics. The filtered values were registered as members of steady-state DB. They were found to show good functional relationship with ambient temperature. The relationship was fitted with a second order polynomial and the distribution bounds of the data around the fitted curve were expressed by visual inspection because of varying average and random data interval. Fault data were compared with the steady-state data obtained during normal operation. The fault data were easily isolated from the fault-free one. To make such isolation reliable, tests to construct good DB should be designed in a systematic way.

차량 연료 소모량 예측을 위한 신경회로망 기반 모델링 (Neural Network-Based Modeling for Fuel Consumption Prediction of Vehicle)

  • 본 논문에서는 연료 소모량을 예측하기 위해 차량 데이터를 이용한 신경회로망 모델링 방식을 제안하였다. 제안한 신경회로망의 훈련과 시험 데이터를 획득하기 위해 시내를 중형 가솔린 차량을 주행하였고, OBD-II 포트에서 입력 데이터로 속도, 엔진 RPM, 쓰로틀 위치 센서(TPS), 흡기 공기량(MAF)을 측정하였고, 목표값으로 연료 소모량을 측정하였다. 입력과 출력 데이터의 빈선형 맵핑을 위해 다층 퍼셉트론 네트워크를 사용하였다. 신경회로망 모델은 평균 제곱오차가 $1.306{\times}10^{-6}$로 연료 소모량을 매우 잘 예측함을 확인하였다.

4족 보행로봇의 물체 인식 및 GP 기반 지능적 보행 (Objects Recognition and Intelligent Walking for Quadruped Robots based on Genetic Programming)

  • 본 논문은 SURF(Speeded Up Robust Features)를 기반으로 한 대상 물체 인식 알고리즘과 GP(Genetic Programming)를 기반으로 한 직진, 회전, 정지, 후진 걸음새(gait) 자동 생성을 각각 구현한다. 그리고 이를 결합 하여, 대상을 인식하고 자율적으로 접근 및 추종할 수 있는 인식 기반 지능적인 보행 기법을 제안한다. 4족 보행 로봇의 걸음새는 GP를 사용하여 각 관절의 궤적에 대한 회귀분석으로 생성한다. 고속의 특징점 검출에 적합한 SURF를 사용해서 물체의 위치와 크기를 인식하고, 물체까지의 거리를 계산한다. 4족 보행로봇의 물체 인식 및 이를 통한 자율접근 보행 실험은 ODE(Open Dynamics Engine) 기반의 Webots 시뮬레이션과 실제 로봇에 대해서 수행된다.

회생제동 전자제어 유압모듈을 이용한 하이브리드 차량의 에너지 회수 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Energy Regeneration Algorithm using Electro-Hydraulic Braking Module for Hybrid Electric Vehicles)

  • In this paper, an energy regeneration algorithm is proposed to make the maximum use of the regenerative braking energy for a parallel hybrid electric vehicle(HEV) equipped with a continuous variable transmission(CVT). The regenerative algorithm is developed by considering the battery state of charge(SOC), vehicle velocity and motor capacity. The hydraulic module consists of a reducing valve and a power unit to supply the front wheel brake pressure according to the control algorithm. In order to evaluate the performance of the regenerative braking algorithm and the hydraulic module, a hardware-in-the-loop simulation (HILS) is performed. In the HILS system, the brake system consists of four wheel brakes and the hydraulic module. Dynamic characteristics of the HEV are simulated using an HEV simulator. In the HEV simulator, each element of the HEV powertrain such as internal combustion engine, motor, battery and CVT is modelled using MATLAB/$Simulink^{(R)}$. In the HILS, a driver operates the brake pedal with his or her foot while the vehicle speed is displayed on the monitor in real time. It is found from the HILS that the regenerative braking algorithm and the hydraulic module suggested in this paper provide a satisfactory braking performance in tracking the driving schedule and maintaining the battery state of charge.

  • 스크램제트 엔진의 연소기 내부 유동은 초음속이므로 유동의 잔류시간과 혼합율의 증대가 효과적인 연소를 가능하게 하는 주요 요인으로 작용한다. 본 연구에서는 연료-공기 혼합기로써 L/D=4.8인 개방형 공동 모델을 사용하였고, 공동 앞에서의 경사 연료 분사 시 분사구 주위와 공동 주위의 유동특성을 살펴보기 위하여 레이저 슐리렌 기법과 압력측정을 실시하였다. 측정에 사용된 레이저 슐리렌은 10 ns의 매우 짧은 광원 지속시간을 보유하여 공동부근의 비정상 유동 현상을 효과적으로 관찰할 수 있었다. 압력측정은 연료 분사비 J(운동량비)를 변화시켜 가며 측정하였으며, 운동량비에 따른 연소기 내부 주요 압력상승 지점의 변화를 살펴 볼 수 있었다.

  • 스크램젯 엔진을 이용하여 마하 4로 비행하는 2단 비행체의 개념 설계를 통해 그 가능성을 탐색하였다. 설계 목표는 225 kg의 탑재물을 싣고 500 km를 비행하는 비행체이다. 순항 속도까지 가속하는 1단은 고체 로켓을 사용하며, 2단 엔진은 케로신이 연료이다. 설계 결과, 1단은 길이 3.59 m, 추력 52.9 kN, 2단은 추력 6.85 kN이다. 비행체는 길이 7.55 m, 직경 508 mm, 이륙 중량 2.1 톤이며, 17 km의 고도에서 목표 거리를 6분 동안 비행한다.

A Study on Regenerative Braking for a Parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle

  • In this paper, a regenerative braking algorithm is presented and performance of a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is investigated. The regenerative braking algorithm calculates the available regenera tive braking torque by considering the motor characteristics, the battery SOC and the CVT speed ratio. When the regenerative braking and the friction braking are applied simultaneously, the friction braking torque corresponding to the regenerative braking should be reduced by decreasing the hydraulic pressure at the front wheel. To implement the regenerative braking algorithm, a hydraulic braking module is designed. In addition, the HEV powertrain models including the internal combustion engine, electric motor, battery, CVT and the regenerative braking system are obtained using AMESim, and the regenerative braking performance is investigated by the simulation. Simulation results show that the proposed regenerative braking algorithm contributes to increasing the battery SOC which results in the improved fuel economy. To verify the regenerative braking algorithm, an experimental study is performed. It is found from the experimental results that the regenerative braking hydraulic module developed in this study generates the desired front wheel hydraulic pressure specified by the regenerative braking control algorithm.

대형 크랭크축 리프팅 핀의 경량화를 위한 강도평가 연구 (A Study of Strength Evaluation of Crankshaft Lifting Pin for Reducing Weight)

  • Large-sized pins are usually used to lift and handle large low speed diesel engine crankshaft. There has then been a need to reduce and optimize the weight of the traditionally used pins. Making an hole by cutting the inside of the pin out was investigated in view of static and fracture strength. To compensate the stress increase caused by the introduction of the inner hole, the groove in the circumferential direction pre-existing on the pin is to be removed. Finite element analysis was carried out for both the original model and weight reduced model. Stress intensity factors for semi-elliptical defects assumed on the pin for the original model and weight reduced model was calculated using the ASME method and compared with the fracture toughness test result of the pin material. The diameter of the cutting hole for the revised model was determined based on the analysis results.

  • Productivity improvement and cost reduction in the aircraft industry have become major industrial objectives, and improving productivity by reducing machining time has become a key focus. When numerical cutting code is created by CAM software, such as CATIA or UG-NX, it is impossible to control machining feed speed using cutting force changes depending on the machining tool path. However, machining an aircraft engine part from difficult material, such as Inconel 718, takes a long time, and tool chipping or breakage often occurs from forcing the machining path too quickly. This study investigated and verified the reliability of the AdvantEdge production module (PM)using cutting power tests. In particular, diffuser and diffuser case parts were considered, comparing cutting power and machining time using AdvantEdge PM and CATIA.

30W급 LED 투광등 히트싱크 높이변화에 따른 온도분포에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Temperature Distribution according to the Heat Sink Height of 30W LED Floodlight)

  • This study tests the characteristics of heat radiation by applying the pin-height variables to 30-W LED floodlights. The angle of the heat sink enables us to identify the characteristics of the heat radiation based on the temperature distribution. The results of the study are as follows. When the heat sinks are set towards the ground, the heat transfer decreases in speed only to expands the temperature distribution, which adversely affects the characteristics of heat radiation and expands the temperature distribution of PCB with the LED chip. We verify that the characteristics of heat radiation are adversely affected when the height of the cooling pin decreases and the heat radiation area decreases, which impedes the heat transfer and increases the temperature distribution on the heat sink.
