에너지 효율적인 속도 프로파일 생성을 위한 Simulink 기반 열차 성능 시뮬레이션 (A Train Performance Simulation using Simulink for Generating Energy-efficient Speed Profiles)

  • In this research TPS (Train Performance Simulation) blocks are designed using Simulink and applied to generate speed profiles for energy-efficient train operation. With a train operation mode of maximum powering, coasting, and maximum breaking, a breaking point is calculated from forward-backward running profiles. Then, GA (Genetic Algorithm) is used to solve a running time constraint, and a coasting point is produced from the searching process of GA. With the breaking point and the coasting point a speed profile is plotted. Train performance under a speed limit and gradient variations is simulated and resultant speed profiles are analyzed.

  • In line with the expansion of electric railway, reducing carbon emission and optimal train operation are required by economical, eco-friendly and efficient management. Most of the energy consumption in electric railway is consumed by train operation. So it is important that minimize the energy consumption in train operation. An analysis of the operation performance of the new model vehicle which in South Korea, Korail introduced shows that the energy consumption is different in line with the skill level of the engine driver. In this study, the know-how of train operation of a skilled engine driver is systematized by using artificial intelligence, and the technique which supports engine drivers with train operation was offered. As a result of applying in South Korea, the Gyeongbu line by using simulation, it confirmed that the maximum 20% can reduce the energy consumption in comparison with unskilled engine drivers in case of applying the Expert System.

  • In recent years, energy prices have soared, which of course have increased costs for railway operators. Simultaneously, the energy market has considerably changed that in most developed countries, it is deregulated, giving railway operators an opportunity to define new ways of using energy. Efficient operation of the railway system is considered as an essential way to energy saving while an efficient management of power level helps to lower the reference subscribed power, giving access to better energy rates. It is studied on the relation between time and force for the energy efficient driving of train in railway when the train is braking according to several slips.

  • Urban transit vehicle that uses electrical energy, is faster, safer and energy-efficient public transit than other means. As a Research method, the Matlab/Simulink are used to modeling a regenerative brake-capable train, and actual parameters such as powering and braking characteristics, all kinds of resistance, passenger load, velocity, gradient, radius of curve etc and powering and breaking commands per time or distance are inputted to train's dynamic equation, then a simulation program is made and used to yield train driving pattern and driving time and the amount of driving energy used thereby at auto and manual operation and at all sector.

  • Recently the roles of railways about the prevention of global warming caused by greenhouse gases and for low carbon green growth are larger than ever. And the railroad-related research institutions have been active in researching for energy conservation. Especially the urban railroad has been emerged as the best means of transportation compared to the general public transportation systems in punctuality, stability, ecology and etc. In operating the urban railroad system there are various ways for energy savings. In the larger category, One is the hardware aspect according to the structure of the vehicle and the development of control systems. The other is the software aspect which efficient train operation can be made through control of driving patterns and driving diagram. In this paper, there is sense to analyze the result in verifying expectation relation with variable and the use of electric power on this after selecting main variables that can influence to the energy of the train operation in the software aspect. First, after collecting the basic data related to operation(train speed, operating hours, power consumption, the position of stopping station, electrical power system etc.) and according to this, investigating the consumption of the energy of the operation, in the side of energy consumption deducing and analyzing problem, this will be found solutions.

  • In auxiliary block of high speed train power factor correction and harmonics reduction is very important issue for efficient energy transport. The GTO-equipped PWM converter is used for traction untill resently. But the rising power capability of IGBTs resently allows to build IGBT-equipped PWM converter with a considerably increased switching frequency. This paper presents switching pattern, control method, operation mode and tuned filter to reduce dc link voltage ripple for paralleled converter.

  • Improvement projects has been progressed for railway electrification and double track line in the conventional line as well as high speed line for the high speed and large transportation capability of railway. Especially, many variable operation plans are possible such as interaction between high speed line and conventional line and operation of tilting train due to the electrification of the conventional line. Railway electrification is more energy efficient and environmentally-friendly, but it has some problems such as an enormous initial construction and maintenance costs and electrical accidents. Therefore, the more intensive research will be progressed about railway electrification effectiveness for the continuous electrification project. So, we analyzed railway electrification effectiveness about the energy side using annual operation data of electric car and diesel car. The energy side was divided into energy costs and national energy consumption for analyzing electrification effectiveness about entire line and specific line. We verified advantage of energy costs and national energy consumption in this paper and this result will contribute to the progress of the continuous electrification project and the more efficient operation ways in electrification line

  • 본 논문은 전기철도차량의 운행시간 여유분을 고려하여 에너지 소비를 최소화하는 경제운전 패턴을 찾는 방안을 제시하였다. 경제최고속도와 타행끝점속도를 주행패턴의 변수로 사용하여 퍼지모델을 구축하고 이를 대상으로 진화 탐색을 적용하여 최적의 경제운전 패턴을 찾아낼 수 있으며, 사례연구를 통해 이를 입증하였다.

  • There have been many changes in Subway train types since SeoulMetro opened the Line No.1 in 1974. Propulsion control device has changed many times following the generations of control method from resistance control method which uses large resistor for the traction motor control to chopping control which uses power semiconductors and finally to inverter control. Railroad vehicle propulsion control device refers to devices such as converter/inverter which supply power for subway operation, power conversion equipment like small switching-mode power supply and traction motor. In this paper, we will analyze every part of railroad vehicle propulsion control device of SeoulMetro so we can find problems in the subway operation. And we will present propulsion control device model which makes minimized failures, efficient maintenance possible when replacing railroad vehicle later. By doing this, we hope to ensure stability and improve energy efficiency to the top.
