The objectives of this study were; (1)to determine if socio-demographic variables influence energy conservation attitude, energy conservation knowledge, energy conservation behavior of consumer, (2) to determine if energy conservation attitude and energy conservation knowledge influence energy conservation behavior of consumer, (3) to examine the causal relationships among variables which influence energy conservation behavior of consumer. The model for this study included following variables; (1) socio-demographic variables, which are the independent variables; (2) energy conservation behavior of consumer, which is a dependent variable; (3) energy conservation attitude of consumer, which is an intervening variable ;(4) energy conservation knowledge of consumer, which is an intervening variable. The data used in this study included 502 homemakers living in Seoul. Statistics used for data analysis were ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation and Path Analysis. The major findings were follows; (1) Energy conservation attitude and energy conservation behavior difference significantly according to the level of family income among socio-demographic variables such a age, educational level and family income. Energy conservation knowledge differenced significantly educational level, and family income. Energy conservation knowledge difference significantly educational level. (2) Energy conservation behavior differed significantly according to energy conservation attitude and energy conservation knowledge. (3) Energy conservation attitude and energy conservation knowledge had positive effects on energy conservation behavior directly and indirectly. (4) Family income had negative effects on energy conservation behavior directly and indirectly through energy conservation attitude. Education had positive effect on energy conservation behavior indirectly through energy conservation knowledge.
The purpose of this study were to investigate; The contact of housewives with governmental public advertisement about the energy conservation, general tendency about the energy conservation consciousness and behavior. For these purposed, a survey was conducted using questionnaires. Data analysis were conducted from 367 housewives with children in Seoul. Used statistical method were Frequency Distribution, percentile, Mean, one Way Anova, t-test, F-test, Pearson's Correlation, Multiple regression Analysis and Path Analysis. Major findings are as follows. 1) Level of public advertisement contact was low. In contrast to , level of energy conservation consciousness, consciousness change, and behavior was adequately high. 2) Statistically significant difference were found in advertisement contact according to the husband's age , Energy conservation consciousness change according to husband's occupation, and energy conservation behavior according to family life cycle. 3) Energy conservation consciousness changes were increased by advertisement contact. Energy conservation behaviors were increased by conservation consciousness and the degree of conservation consciousness change. 4) Governmental public advertisement about the energy conservation has both direct and indirect effect on the energy conservation behavior. From these finds, the following suggestions are made. Governmental effort about the energy conservation advertisement is needed to be activated. And the implications for the future study was need to incorporate the psychological variables in energy conservation study.
The purpose of this study was to identify (1) consumers' energy conservation attitude and behavior and (2) response to the energy conservation policies. For this purpose 1,200 male and female consumers who residents of 6 cities (Seoul, Pusan, Taegu, Kwangju. Taejoen, and Inchon) were surveyed through the standardized questionnares. The major findings were as follows; (1) The level of energy conservation attitude was relatively high and differed significantly according to sex, age, and education, (2) The level of energy conservation behavior was differed significantly according to sex, age, and education. (3) The energy conservation policies which provide consumers with energy saving information and education were more preferred. (4) There energy conservation attitude had the strongest effect on the energy conservation behavior.
The residential energy consumption is intimately related with lifestyle of consumers. Therefore, this research suggests the mechanism for the effects of consumer lifestyle on consumer behavior. Specifically, the mediators are imposed of cost perception, propensity for environmental protection and energy conservation-conscious. Also, the lifestyle is composed of the over-consumption, life-centric, life-satisfaction, conservation- conscious and conservation-active type. In results, there are positive relationship between the life-satisfaction, conservation-conscious and conservation-active lifestyle and the propensity for environmental protection, cost perception. Both the cost perception and the propensity for environmental protection are positively related with the conservation- conscious. And positive relationship are appeared between the conservation-conscious and the energy conservation behavior.

Diffusions of energy conservation technology are very important class in our country that resources and energy are lacking, and development, transfer, diffusions etc.. of energy conservation technology can speak as one method that can improve country competitive power along with company competitive power. But, in the case of our country, present condition grasping about energy conservation technology Passing . induction did not consist. This research grasp Present condition about energy conservation technology Passing . induction of our country and Present direction for energy conservation technology activation, for which connected company into question investigation enforce and behaved frequency analysis and crossing analysis etc.
The industrial sector is the largest energy consumer, accounting for 44% of the total energy consumption of Korea in 1981. Energy conservation in the industrial processes is one of the most important strategies to the energy conservation to the nation. This paper introduces principles of energy conservation which is the maximum thermodynamic efficiency in energy use. Two important factors considered are how much heat is available and how good is the heat available (the quality of energy).
The objectives of the study were to determine 1) energy uses for residential requirements, 2) if energy consumption and adoption of energy conservation attitudes and practices vary with independent variables family size, stage of family life cycle, homemaker's level of education, income, heating system, and number of electrical household items, and 3) if there is a correlation between energy conservation attitudes and practices. Questionnaires were given to the randomly selected homemakers I Seoul in the summer (September, 1979) and the winter (February, 1980). Analysis of variance and correlation were used to analyzed the data which consisted of 537 usable responses of 895 returned in the summer and 554 responses of 794 returned in the winter. The results are as follows: 1) The order of consumption rate of the direct energy uses for residential requirements was found to be heating and air conditioning, cooking, refrigeration, T.V., lighting, and miscellaneous. 2) Energy consumption and adoption of energy conservation attitudes and practices were significantly related to family size, homemaker's level of education, and the stage of family life cycle. (1) Families of five members revealed higher scores in attitudes and practices than families less than five or more than six. (2) The higher the homemaker's level of education, the more energy consumption and the higher scores I attitudes and practices were found. (3) Families in the middle stage of family life cycle tend to use more energy than younger or older families, but their scores in attitudes and practices were high. 3) There was a significant correlation between energy conservation attitudes and practices. However, the scores of the conservation practices were not as good as the attitudes. It may be attributed to either a lack of knowledge and/or financial difficulties, or a dissonance between the concept and implementation of energy conservation. 4) Recommendations for the energy-saving and energy-related public policies are: (1) to use such human resources as attitudes, values, feelings of agreement, and cooperation, as well as nonhuman resources for the energy conservation, (2) to develop a educational program and a creative system I order to implement energy conservation programs, and (3) to consider direct as well as indirect energy uses I selecting goods and services.

The purpose of this study was to figure out the effects of parents' energy conservation awareness and behaviors on young children's environment-friendly attitudes and environmental preservation knowledge. To achieve this, a survey was carried out to 160 kindergarten children and their parents in the farming and fishing communities located in N city, Chungnam through June 10 to June 30, 2013. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, the effect of parents' energy conservation awareness on young children's environment-friendly attitudes showed that parents' environmental preservation awareness and energy conservation awareness had an effect on young children's environment-friendly attitudes. Second, the effect of parents' energy conservation behaviors on young children's environment-friendly attitudes showed that parents' general behaviors and selective behaviors had an effect on young children's environment-friendly attitudes. Third, the effect of parents' energy conservation awareness on young children's environmental preservation knowledge showed that parents' environmental preservation knowledge and energy conservation awareness had an effect on young children's environmental preservation knowledge. Fourth, the effect of parents' energy conservation behaviors on young children's environmental preservation knowledge showed that parents' general behaviors and selective behaviors had an effect on young children's environmental preservation knowledge. As for findings stated above, parents' energy conservation awareness and behaviors had a positive effect on children's environment-friendly attitudes and environmental preservation knowledge. This implies that parents' right energy conservation awareness and behaviors are important to enhance children's positive environment-friendly attitudes and environmental preservation knowledge.
