참치 어선 냉동장치의 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of Refrigeration Equipment for Tuna Long Liner)

  • The experimental study and theoretical analysis are made in order to investigate a new refrigeration system, R-22 and R-502 or R-13 cascade compressor with panel type cooler, for tuna long liner. The experimental apparatus consists with the cascade unit, 1.5 HP R-502 compressor in the first stage and 1 HP R-22 compressor in the second stage, and 3 $m^2$ cold storage room with a direct expansion panel type cooler. The main result are as follows: 1. The energy saving and C.O.P. of the R-22 and R-502 or R-22 and R-13 cascade are improved much higher than two stage compressor. 2. For the point of simplicity of design, installation, and running cost, the panel type cooler is much better than traditional hair pin coil type cooler. 3. From the experimental data and analysis, the R-22 and R-502, or R-22 and R-13 cascade compressor with panel type cooler is recommended for a new refrigeration equipment of the tuna long liner.

초저온 캐스케이드 냉동사이클의 LNG 열교환기 압력강하 특성 (The pressure drop characteristics in LNG heat exchanger of cryogenic cascade refrigeration cycle)

  • Natural gas is converted in to LNG by chilling and liquefying the gas to the temperature of $-162^{\circ}C$, when liquefied, the volume of natural gas is reduced to 1/600th of its standard volume. This gives LNG the advantage in transportation. The pressure dorp of the cascade liquefaction cycle was investigated and simulated using HYSYS software. The simulation results showed that the pressure drop in the LNG heat exchanger is set to 50 kPa considering the increase in the compressor work of cryogenic cascade liquefaction cycle.

  • 고성능 분리막 제조기술과 더불어 새로운 분리막 다단공정 설계를 통해 용매사용량 감소 및 선택도 향상이 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 내용매성 셀룰로스 나노분리막을 제조하여 용매에 따른 용질의 선택도 차이를 비교하였다. 제막한 셀룰로스 막을 기반으로 비극성 용매의 선택도 평가를 진행하였으며, 비극성 용매에서 용질에 대한 음배제율이 관측되었다. 특히, 분자량이 클수록 음배제율이 높아지는 역선택도의 거동을 확인하였다. 이를 기반으로 설계한 공정에서는 기존 분획 공정 대비 3배 이상의 용매저감이 가능한 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Heat pump systems have been widely adopted in buildings for cooling and heating, due to their higher energy efficiency. Recently, the demand for hot water supply from the heat pump system has been increasing. To increase the water supply temperature with higher system efficiency and reliability, a heat pump water heater adopting cascade cycle was investigated in this study. The cascade heat pump water heater consisted of a low-stage cycle using R410A, and a high-stage cycle using R134a. A simulation program for the cascade heat pump water heater was developed, and verified by comparison with experimental data. The performance of the cascade heat pump water heater was optimized, by varying the compressor rotating speeds of the low- and high-stage cycles. At low ambient temperatures, the performance of the cascade cycle was compared with that of the single-stage cycle. The system efficiency of the cascade cycle was higher than that of the single-stage cycle, showing a lower compression ratio and compressor discharge temperature.

Energy Transfer Fluorescence Quenching of $Pr^{3+}$ in LaOCI

  • 두 가지 활성제를 분포시킨 LaOCl:Pr, Tb와 LaOCl:Pr, Eu계에서 에너지 전달을 관찰하였다. 레이저에 의한 들뜨기와 형광 스펙트럼의 관찰로부터 활성제 이온들 사이에 독특한 에너지 전달 과정이 있음을 발견하였다. $Tb^{3+}$에서 흡수한 에너지는 $Pr^{3+}$로 직접 전달되었다. 들뜬 $Pr^{3+}$의 에너지가 아래 준위인 $^1D_2$로 단계적으로 풀리는 현상이 $Eu^{3+}$에 의해 야기되었다. 비슷한 조건을 가진 $Tb^{3+}$$Eu^{3+}$처럼 촘촘한 $^7F_J$ 바닥 준위를 가지고 있으나 단계적 풀림에 효과적이지 못하였다. 이 결과는 에너지 전달에 있어서 이온의 양자 상태가 에너지 전달에 절대적인 조건이 되지 못하며 에너지 전달은 활성제가 가까이 있을 경우 그 준위들 사이에 경쟁적임을 보여 주었다.

  • This paper describes a transformerless static synchronous campensator (STATCOM) system based on cascade H-bridge multilevel inverter with star configuration. It is designed not only for the dynamic and continuous compensation of the reactive power but also for the improvement of power quality of existing wind power plant. Especially, when the induction generator of wind turbine is directly connected to the grid, reactive power are occurred by exiting current. so a reactive power compensation system based on the cascade H-bridge multilevel STATCOM is proposed because the output power quality and controllability of reactive power are required by grid code in many different countries. Using various The proposed reactive power control strategy using a STATCOM is compared with the conventional scheme using fixed-size of capacitor bank through various simulation results.

On the Significance of Turbulence Models and Unsteady Effect on the Flow Prediction through A High Pressure Turbine Cascade

  • Unsteady flow simulations through a transonic turbine vane were carried out for an isentropic Mach number of 1.02 and a Reynolds number of $10^6$. The main objective of the study is to investigate the effect of unsteadiness due to vortex shedding on the flow in transonic regime. The steady and the time-averaged unsteady results by employing three different turbulence models: shear stress transport (SST), k-${\omega}$, and ${\omega}$ Reynolds stress models were compared. The comparisons were emphasized on the isentropic Mach number along the blade and total pressure loss at the cascade exit. The results showed that both steady and unsteady calculations have good agreement with experimental data along the blade surface. However, at cascade exit, the unsteady calculations have much better agreement with experimental data than steady calculations. Based on these, we conclude that the unsteady flow calculations are essential for these types of problems.

Prediction of Cascade Performance of Circular-Arc Blades with CFD

  • Thin circular-arc blade is often used as a guide vane, a deflecting vane, or a rotating blade of low pressure axial-flow turbomachine because of its easy manufacture. Ordinary design of the blade elements of these machines is done by use of the carpet diagrams for a cascade of circular-arc blades. However, the application of the carpet diagrams is limited to relatively low cambered blade operating under optimum inlet flow conditions. In order to extend the applicable range, additional design data is necessary. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a promising method to get these data. In this paper, two-dimensonal cascade performances of circular-arc blade are widely analyzed with CFD. The results have been compared with the results of experiment and potential theory, and useful information has been obtained. Turning angle and total pressure loss coefficients are satisfactorily predicted for lowly cambered blade. For high camber angle of $67^{\circ}$, the CFD results agree with experiment for the angle of attack less than that for shockless inlet condition.

  • 양자폭포레이저에서 활성영역의 모의실험을 위하여 Runge-Kutta 방법과 shooting 방법을 이용하여 슈뢰딩거 방정식의 해를 구하였다. 활성영역의 두께 변화에 대하여 발진파장, 포논공명 에너지, 분극행렬요소 (dipole matrix element) 등의 특성변화를 관찰하였고, 이로부터 양자폭포레이저를 위한 에피성장에서 허용될 수 있는 최소한의 두께 정밀도를 제안하였다.
