This paper describes the differences of the information system's success factors to improve the end-user's performance according to the job characteristics. A modified model of DeLone and McLean's IS success model is proposed with the two added variables of the top management concern and the IS department support. The model is validated using data collected from a field study of 3872 users on 3 Korean companies. ANOVA, correlation analysis, and stepwise regression are used to test research hypotheses. The results of the study indicate the following implications. First the top management concern and the IS department support have the significant relation with the system usage and the user satisfaction. Second, the system quality has an influence on the user satisfaction more than on the system usage. And the information quality has an influence on the system usage more than on the user satisfaction. Third, the system usage has more relations to the user's performance in the logistics function and R&D function. The user satisfaction has more relations to the user's performance in the sales and the A/S function. Therefore information system strategy to increase the user's performance must be differentiated according to job characteristics.

This study empirically examined the effects of 12 factors on the success of data warehousing. We also introduced the characteristics of end-user community as moderating variables. Several hypotheses were set up to identify the relationships among these variables. And the survey instrument(questionnaire) was developed to collect data. Ultimately 183 questionnaires from 61 korean firms were collected. Findings showed that 9 factors affect positive effect on the success of data warehousing. Also the characteristics of end-user community can be considered significant moderating variables between success factors and success of data warehousing.

This paper proposes a Product Data Management (PDM) system architecture that supports end-user computing for small and medium businesses (SMBs) in Korea to build and maintain efficient and sustainable information systems for their product development. Its open database with relational tables enables existing common application programs such as Microsoft office suites to access product data in PDM systems. In addition, the interactive query processor provided by database management systems helps design engineers to build ad hoc queries in standard SQL database language to response different data requirements during their product development. The PDM architecture with the open database allows design engineers or technical staffs in SMBs to build and maintain their application programs for product development by themselves. To show the feasibility of the proposed architecture, this study implemented a prototype PDM system based on the architecture and database, and represents real-world product data with the implemented PDM system.

The purpose of this research is to find out the difference of success factors of End-User Computing (EUC) which are applicable to our corporations. There have been many researches related to EUC success factors, however, as the researches have been concentrated on limited type of business areas or have been studied without distinguishing the differences of characteristics of business areas, these researches are not sufficient to cover the situation of the corporations, in general. In this research, the range of companies to be investigated was widely extended to such as electric and electronic company, banking, construction company, petroleum and chemistry company, machinery and metal company, and beverage and food company. EUC success factors which influence the factors that are used to evaluate the EUC performance for each business area were found to be different. The result of this research can be useful for a company which is seeking EUC success factors for its own business area.

본 논문에서는 최종사용자 중심 전산의 영향요인에 관한 이론연구를 바탕으로 최종사용자가 원하는 사진을 쉽게 검색할 수 있고, 사진작가는 자신의 작품을 직접 데이터베이스에 저장할 수 있는 Stock Photo 시스템을 인터넷상에서 운용되도륵 구현하였다. 또한 이러한 Stock Photo 시스템은 객체지향적인 방식으로 개발되어 소프트웨어의 수정과 재사용이 용이하며 거래와 지불에 관한 부분을 추가하여 전자거래의 한 형태로도 이용할 수 있도록 설계였다.

The necessity of diagnosis of the rotating machinery which is widely used in the industry is increasing. If rotating machinery has fault, we can detect fault using vibration or noise. But, in diagnosing rotating machinery, the end user who doesn't have expert knowledge needs the help of vibration diagnosis expert. However, vibration diagnosis experts who well satisfy the demand of end user are rare. So, this paper propose a development of the case-based reasoning system for abnormal vibration diagnosis of rotating machinery we construct the past experiences of vibration diagnosis expert into case base and shear the experiences of diagnosis expert with the end user. In this paper, we describe that process of structured system and adapting result of abnormal vibration diagnosis of electric motor.

The nursing informatics has been booming in Taiwan since 2003 when we started to use the end user computing strategy to promote it. We used Excel 2003, which was well known and used by our clinical nurses, as well as the embedded VBA to teach them how simple information applications could and should be built to meet their information management needs in order to support their professional responsibility. Many cost-effective projects were successfully done and the importance and potentials of nursing informatics started to be noticed. Our training strategy and materials are introduced in this paper.

패스워드는 컴퓨터보안의 첫 단계이다. 패스워드 보안이 허술해지면 방화벽은 사실상 무용지물이나 다름없다. 그러나 일반 사용자들은 고난이도의 패스워드 관리가 불가능하므로 이에 대한 보완이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 클라이언트 측에서 난수를 이용하여 일회용 패스워드를 생성하는 알고리즘을 사용하였다. 이것은 사용자들이 패스워드 관리를 용이하게 할 수 있으며, 서버해킹에 대한 불안을 해소시킬 수 있다.

Over the last two decades, many information system researchers have developed the variables of information system using the measurement of user satisfaction. In context, this research developed the measurement of user satisfaction in smartphone application market and compared the difference of user satisfaction factors between Adroid market and App store. The results indicated that satisfaction of App store was more than that of Adroid market. The information system and customer-oriented factors of App store were higher than that of Adroid market.

Over the years a password has been used as a popular authentication method between a client and a server because of its easy-to-memorize property. But, most password-based authentication services have focused on a same password authentication scheme which provides an authentication and key exchange between a client and a server with the same password. With rapid change of communication environments in the fields such as mobile networks, home networking, etc., the end-to-end security allowing users to hold different password is considered as one of main concerns. In this paper, we consider a new authentication service of how each client with different own password is able to authenticate each other, which is a quite new service paradigm among the existing services. This new service can be used in the current or next generation network environment where a mobile user in cell A wants to establish a secure end-to-end channel with users in ceil B, C, and D using only their memorable passwords. This end-to-end security service minimizes the interferences from the operator controlled by network components. To achieve this end-to-end security, we propose an authentication and key exchange service for group users in different realm, and analyze its security in a formal way. We also discuss a generic construction with the existing authentication schemes.
