Defining the correlations between rural amenities, while difficult, is important for the adequate and efficient development of these amenities. In this research, an Interactional Information Measuring Technique(IIMT) using Information Gathering and Utilizing System(IGUS) was developed to objectively analyze the correlations between abstract ideas. In order to analyze correlations between rural amenities, this model used the Korean Dusan World Encyclopedia as IGUS and the relative interactional information was measured. The correlations between rural amenities were analyzed objectively using IIMT with the results satisfying the basic conditions of interactional information suggested in this research.

We propose a genome-scale clustering approach to identify whole genome relationships using the functional groups given by the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes Orthology (KO) database. The metabolic capabilities of each organism were defined by the number of genes in each functional category. The archaeal, bacterial, and eukaryotic genomes were compared by simultaneously applying a two-step clustering method, comprised of a self-organizing tree algorithm followed by unsupervised hierarchical clustering. The clustering results were consistent with various phenotypic characteristics of the organisms analyzed and, additionally, showed a different aspect of the relationship between genomes that have previously been established through rRNA-based comparisons. The proposed approach to collect and cluster the metabolic functional capabilities of organisms should make it a useful tool in predicting relationships among organisms.

${\ulcorner}$Euibangyoochui${\lrcorner}$ is a great medical encyclopedia composed of 91 symptoms and signs of diseases which classified 150 kinds of reference books. It consisted mainly of fifty thousands of herbal prescriptions and therapeutics but it deals with other treatments like diet therapy, precautions, acupuncture and moxibustion, physical and breathing exercises as well. Unlike other medical references, this book made up these treatments as independent chapters. We tried to catch the meanings and characteristics of each chapters.

When Ojuyeonmunjangjunsan'go, which we may call the ocean of data in Chosun Dynasty, referes to the matter related tobacco, it often quotes from Enroku. Enroku is a technical book of tobacco in Japan. It not only often quotes from Jibongyuseol, an encyclopedia published in Chosun Dynasty, but also embodies literary works related tobacco written by Koreans. We are so interested, because even the first literary work related tobacco written by a Korean is included in it. But on the ground of foreign book, Koreans have not made a deep study on it. So, In this treatise We will picture a broad outline of Enroku, and introduce literary works related tobacco written by Koreans in it. It would be little aid for the deep study on tobacco itself and on literary works related tobacco in Korea.

In this paper, we propose a system which improves text catchphrases on the web using onomatopoeia and the Japanese Google N-grams. Onomatopoeia is regarded as a fundamental tool in daily communication for people. The proposed system inserts an onomatopoetic word into plain text catchphrases. Being based on a large catchphrase encyclopedia, the proposed system evaluates each catchphrase's candidates considering the words, structure and usage of onomatopoeia. That is, candidates are selected whether they contain onomatopoeia and they use specific catchphrase grammatical structures. Subjective experiments show that inserted onomatopoeia is effective for making attractive catchphrases.

Until recently, since the Human Genome Project, the general view has been that the majority of the human genome is composed of junk DNA and has little or no selective advantage to the organism. Now we know that this conclusion is an oversimplification. In April 2003, the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) launched an international research consortium called Encyclopedia of DNA Elements (ENCODE) to uncover non-coding functional elements in the human genome. The result of this project has identified a set of new DNA regulatory elements, based on novel relationships among chromatin accessibility, histone modifications, nucleosome positioning, DNA methylation, transcription, and the occupancy of sequence-specific factors. The project gives us new insights into the organization and regulation of the human genome and epigenome. Here, we sought to summarize particular aspects of the ENCODE project and highlight the features and data that have recently been released. At the end of this review, we have summarized a case study we conducted using the ENCODE epigenome data.

이 논문은 한국어 백과사전에 등장하는 질병에 대한 요약문 생성의 일환으로 내용을 비교하고 중복성을 제거하기 위해 논리표현으로의 변환과정에서 중요한 영대명사의 복원을 다룬다. 백과사전의적인 기술 특성상 자주 등장하는 영대명사의 복원을 위해 통사 의미적 혹은 담화적 언어지식에 의존하기보다는 질병에 관한 개념지도를 토대로 복원할 수 있다는 지식기반 방식을 제안한다.

한국어 문장의 경우 문맥상 추론이 가능하다면 용언의 격이 생략되는 현상 즉 무형대용어 (zero anaphora) 현상이 흔히 발생한다. 무형대용어를 채울 수 있는 선행어 (명사구)를 찾는 문제는 대용어 해결 (anaphora resolution) 문제와 같은 성격의 문제이다. 이러한 생략현상은 백과사전이나 위키피디아 등 백과사전류 문서에서도 자주 발생한다. 특히 선행어로 표제어가 가능한 경우 무형대용어 현상이 빈번히 발생한다. 백과사전류 문서는 질의응답 (QA) 시스템의 정답 추출 정보원으로 많이 이용되는데 생략된 표제어의 복원이 없다면 유용한 정보를 제공하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 생략된 표제어 복원을 위해 무형대용어의 해결을 기반으로 하는 시스템을 제안한다.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the issues of archival contents development for documenting local histories and to suggest the directions of contents development based on case studies. The study begins with analysing four cases of archival contents; two foreign cases for benchmarking, and two domestic cases of the Encyclopedia of Korean Local Cultures, and the local contents of National Archives of Korea. Based on these analyses, it discusses the critical issues of the contents development and suggests the directions of archival contents development for documenting localities.

In the evaluation of rural amenity, it is hard to estimate the worth of rural amenity as numerical values. To evaluate the worth of an abstract idea, information measure technique(IMT) can be used. In this research, rural amenity priority assessment model(RAPAM) was developed adapting IMT. To apply the developed model for assessment of rural amenity, an encyclopedia was used as information gathering and utilizing system(IGUS). The application result of the developed model which was compared with the result of survey have similar trend. $R^{2}$ is 0.8539, RMSE is 0.382 and the applicability of RAPAM was proved.
