  • With the growing exchange of data between individuals and institutions through various electronic communication, valuable data protection is in high demand to ensure that it is not hacked and that privacy is protected. Many security techniques, such as encryption and steganography, have emerged to prevent security breaches. The purpose of this research is to integrate cryptographic and steganography techniques to secure text message sending. The Rijndael algorithm was used to encrypt the text message, and the Least Significant Bit algorithm was also used to hide the encrypted message in a color image. Experiments on the suggested method have proven that it can improve the security of sent messages due to the human eye's inability to identify the original image from the image after it has been covered, as well as the encryption of the message using a password.

  • The proposed encryption algorithm strengthens its security by converting pixel-specific values and changing pixel positions. The state transition matrix created by Wolfram's rule creates a complemented CA sequence with the maximum length. Then, we convert the sequence into a 2D basis image and go through a XOR operation with the original image. The final encrypted image is created by shear stressing and rearranging. The image stability analysis verified that the proposed encryption method has high security.

  • In this paper, we propose an optical encryption system based on the encryption of information using the phase component of a wavefront and orthogonal polarization in a Mach-Zehnder interferometer. Since the incoherence of the two perpendicularly polarized lights removes interference component, the decrypted image is stable. In encryption process, the original image is converted into an image having random polarization state by the relative phase difference of horizontal polarization and vertical polarization, so we cannot obtain the original information from the random polarization distribution. To decrypt an Image, the random polarization distribution of encrypted image is divided into two orthogonal components, then key image must be placed on vertical path of Mach-Zehnder interferometer. The decrypted image is obtained In the form of intensity by use of an analyzer.

  • With the continuous development of cloud storage, plenty of redundant data exists in cloud storage, especially multimedia data such as images and videos. Data deduplication is a data reduction technology that significantly reduces storage requirements and increases bandwidth efficiency. To ensure data security, users typically encrypt data before uploading it. However, there is a contradiction between data encryption and deduplication. Existing deduplication methods for regular files cannot be applied to image deduplication because images need to be detected based on visual content. In this paper, we propose a secure image deduplication scheme based on hashing and clustering, which combines a novel perceptual hash algorithm based on Local Binary Pattern. In this scheme, the hash value of the image is used as the fingerprint to perform deduplication, and the image is transmitted in an encrypted form. Images are clustered to reduce the time complexity of deduplication. The proposed scheme can ensure the security of images and improve deduplication accuracy. The comparison with other image deduplication schemes demonstrates that our scheme has somewhat better performance.

  • We proposed an optical encryption system using circular polarization based on interferometer. The phase modulated input image, represented as orthogonal linearly polarized states respectively, is encrypted into circularly polarized states using polarization modulated masks. In the decryption we use the inverse matrix of polarization modulation mask and can recover the original polarization states.

  • In today's highly digitized landscape, securing digital communication is paramount due to threats like hacking, unauthorized data access, and network policy violations. The response to these challenges has been the development of cryptography applications, though many existing techniques face issues of complexity, efficiency, and limitations. Notably, sophisticated intruders can easily discern encrypted data during transmission, casting doubt on overall security. In contrast to encryption, steganography offers the unique advantage of concealing data without easy detection, although it, too, grapples with challenges. The primary hurdles in image steganography revolve around the quality and payload capacity of the cover image, which are persistently compromised. This article introduces a pioneering approach that integrates image steganography and encryption, presenting the BitPatternStego method. This novel technique addresses prevalent issues in image steganography, such as stego-image quality and payload, by concealing secret data within image pixels with identical bit patterns as their characters. Consequently, concerns regarding the quality and payload capacity of steganographic images become obsolete. Moreover, the BitPatternStego method boasts the capability to generate millions of keys for the same secret message, offering a robust and versatile solution to the evolving landscape of digital security challenges.

  • In this paper, the multiwatermarking method to make it possible to the authentication, modification detection and copyright protection of the digital image was proposed. After the original image is transformed by the DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform), the encrypted watermark information is embedded into the LSB(Least Significant Bit) of LL band on the low frequence domain for authenticating and detecting modified position in the image. And watermark information is embedded by exchanging the wavelet coefficient for the copyright protection. Thereby, we can authenticate the modification and detect the modified location by extracting the values of LSB on the low frequence domain. And we can perceive the copyright information of original image by extracting the embedded watermark on the high frequence domain.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel Image Encryption using MLCA (Maximum Length Cellular Automata) and CAT (Cellular Automata Transform). Firstly, we use the Wolfram rule matrix to generate MLCA state transition matrix T. Then the state transition matrix T changes pixel value of original image according to pixel position. Next, we obtain Gateway Values to generate 2D CAT basis function. Lastly, the basis function encrypts the MLCA encrypted image into cellular automata space. The experimental results and security analysis show that the proposed method guarantees better security and non-lossy encryption.
