팔로워십 특성 조절효과가 IT중소기업의 리더십유형과 임파워먼트에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Followership to Leadership Styles and Empowerment in IT SMEs)

  • The purpose of this study is to highlight the effects of the two leadership styles, namely: transformational leadership and transactional leadership, on the different types of followership through analyzing their impact in the productivity and competitiveness of human resources in IT SMEs. The paper focuses on determining whether transformational leadership or transactional leadership is more effective as shown by the levels of empowerment derived from these two types of leadership under study. From this study, alien, role model and passive types of followership, transformational leadership appears to be more influential for personal empowerment. As for group level of empowerment, the transformational type of leadership shows higher effectiveness in alien, role model, passive, and practical types of followership. On the other hand, transactional leadership yields positive impact on practical and conformist types of followership. In summary, personal empowerment plays a direct impact on group empowerment. Thus, with the exception of conformist type of followership, transformational leadership has more impact in human resources of IT SMEs.

The Mediating Role of Psychological Empowerment between Leadership and Motivation for Retail Store Workers

  • Purpose: This study aims to fill the existing gap in the existing literature by investigating the mediating effect of psychological empowerment between leadership and motivation for workers at retail stores, and to extend the previous research to determine the preferences of the researchers and practitioners in leadership and employee motivation in retail through a systematic approach. Research design, data and methodology: This study used a systematic approach to the mediation effect of psychological empowerment on the relationship between leadership and employee motivation in retail stores. To ensure completeness, systematization, and transparency, the preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) approach was applied. Results: The research findings (Total Four Mediating Roles) suggest that psychological empowerment may mediate between leadership and employee motivation. These mediation roles (Empowering Leadership Styles, Organizational Culture and Psychological Empowerment, Customer Psychological Empowerment, and High-Performance Work Systems (HPWS) and Psychological Empowerment) will help practitioners comprehend how these empowerment and motivation leadership styles are interconnected in the retail industry. Conclusions: The research results indicate that psychological empowerment is essential for employee motivation in the retail sector. Through this knowledge, retail store managers can implement strategies designed to empower employees and create a motivated workforce, bolstering organizational effectiveness.

간호대학생의 간호전문직관, 셀프리더십, 임파워먼트와의 관계 (Relationships of Nursing Professionalism, Self-Leadership and Empowerment of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between nursing professionalism, self-leadership, and empowerment in nursing students. Methods. The participants were 226 nursing students. Data collected from November to December 2015 were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients. Results. The mean scores for nursing professionalism ($3.03{\pm}0.41$), self-leadership($3.04{\pm}0.35$), and empowerment($3.13{\pm}0.46$) were above average. nursing professionalism was significantly different according to health concern motivating for nursing. self leadership was significantly different according to grade, religion. empowerment was significantly different according to grade, health concern motivating for nursing. Significant correlations were found between nursing professionalism and self-leadership, nursing professionalism and Empowerment. Conclusions. The results indicate that there is a need to improve nursing professionlism, self leadership, and Empowerment. The above mentioned results should be reflected in the development of effective teaching methods for nursing education program.

  • Purpose: This study is to analyze the relationship between leadership, empowerment, organizational commitment, and nursing performance. Method: The method of the study is the establishment of the analytical framework of the theoretical model and the hypotheses for the empirical survey, analysis of the data collected by the empirical survey, and the provision of a revised model explaining more clearly the causal relationship between variables. Result: Transformational leadership has greater influence on empowerment and nursing performance than transactional leadership. Self determination and impact of empowerment factors greatly influence on organizational commitment, competence and impact significantly influence on nursing performance, and organizational commitment is closely related to the general nursing affair, the human relationship, and the job as an organizational member. Transactional and transformational leadership, in provision of the revised model by verification of goodness-of-fit of the hypothetical model, affects all parts of nursing performance by intervening competence and self determination of empowerment factors. Especially, transactional leadership directly influences on nursing performance without intervening the empowerment factor. Conclusion: The conclusion of the study is transformational leadership exerts a more positive influence on empowerment, organizational commitment, and nursing performance than transactional leadership.

  • 본 연구는 대학도서관 리더의 변혁적 리더십이 사서들의 임파워먼트와 조직유효성에 미치는 영향력을 실증 분석하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구 결과 변혁적 리더십은 임파워먼트와 조직유효성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 임파워먼트는 조직유효성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 변혁적 리더십이 조직유효성에 직접 영향을 미칠 때보다 임파워먼트를 매개로 하였을 때 더 큰 영향을 주고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 대학도서관의 리더는 사서들의 개인적 성장을 위해서 그들의 욕구를 파악하고 관심과 격려 및 적절한 임무부여 등의 개별적 배려를 통해 조직유효성을 향상시킬 수 있도록 하는 것으로 나타났다.

거래적·변혁적 리더십이 팀 임파워먼트 및 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Transactional Leadership and Transformational Leadership on Team Empowerment and Performance)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze whether transactional leadership and transformational leadership have an effect on team empowerment and performance. To this end, a survey was conducted from August 1 to 30 in 2008, among team members of fashion companies. The data was collected with 586 subjects, the statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows; First, contingent reward of transactional leadership had an effect on team empowerment factors and team performance factors. Second, charisma, individualized consideration and intellectual stimulation of transformational leadership had an effect on team empowerment factors and team performance factors. Third, team potency, team autonomy and team meaning of team empowerment had an effect on team performance factors.

  • 이 논문은 대학도서관 상사의 변혁적 거래적 리더십이 사서직원의 임파워먼트에 미치는 영향력을 조사,분석하여 임파워먼트 향상을 위한 리더십의 개발방향을 제시한 것이다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 변혁적 거래적 리더십은 사서직원의 임파워먼트에 정(+)의 방향으로 영향을 미치고 있고, 임파워먼트에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변혁적 리더십의 요소는 '개별적 고려'로, 거래적 리더십의 요소는 '조건적 보상'으로 나타났으며, 상대적 영향력은 거래적 리더십보다 변혁적 리더십이 더 큰 것으로 나타났다.

A Study on the Leader's Super-leadership, Self-leadership, Psychological Empowerment, Sport Commitment and Performance Perceived by Taekwondo Athletes

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the research model and identify the causal relationship among leader's super leadership, self-leadership, psychological empowerment, sport commitment and performance perceived by Taekwondo athletes. The subjects of the study were middle and high school Taekwondo athletes registered in the Korea Taekwondo Association in 2020 and 2021, and data from 454 people were used as final effective samples through convenience sampling. The collected data used the SPSS 23.0 version and the Amos 21.0 version to verify the hypothesis. As a result, the following conclusions were obtained. First, we discovered that the leader's super leadership had a positive impact on the athlete's self-leadership, psychological empowerment, and sport commitment. Second, we found that the athlete's self-leadership had a positive effect on psychological empowerment, sport commitment, and performance. Third, we found that athlete's psychological empowerment had a positive effect on sport commitment and performance. Fourth, we found that the athlete's sport commitment had a negative effect on performance. Therefore, this study has reminded us about importance of psychological empowerment and sport commitment for explaining the relationship between leadership type and performance perceived by Taekwondo athletes, and might contribute to the theoretical discussion of variables related to athletes' performance.

서번트 리더십이 창의성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 임파워먼트 매개효과 (A Study on the Impact of Servant Leadership Affecting Creativity : The Mediating Effect of Empowerment)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify not only the impact of servant leadership affecting creativity but the mediating effect of empowerment. Creativity refers to the production of novel and useful ideas by an individual or by a group of individuals working together [2]. A survey was conducted by 301 employees. This study used the structure equation model which treated the servant leadership as independent variable and creativity as criterion variables. Empowerment was supposed as mediating variable of these relationships. As a result of this study, servant leadership had positive influence on empowerment. Empowerment had positive influence on creativity. Also servant leadership had positive effect on creativity at first, but it did not have a direct effect on creativity when empowerment was considered. These mean that empowerment is complete mediation variable because servant leadership no longer affects creativity after empowerment has been considered. Several implications, limitations and directions for future research were discussed.

시설장의 리더십과 보육교사의 임파워먼트와 직무만족도 (Directors' Leadership and Teachers' Empowerment and Job Satisfaction in Child Care Centers)

  • This study investigated the leadership skills of directors in addition to empowerment and Job satisfaction of teachers in Child Care Centers. The participants were 446 teachers who worked in early childhood educational institutes across Jeju province. The results were as following.: Firstly, transformational leadership significantly affected empowerment. However, individual consideration and transactional leadership from transformational leadership did not significantly affect empowerment. Secondly, individual consideration and intellectual stimulation from transformational leadership had a significant effect on job satisfaction. Also, reward for performance and exceptional management from transactional leadership had a significant effect on the job itself, the relationship, the working environment, and salary package among sub-variables in job satisfaction.
