가구 보육지원의 결정요인: 정부, 직장, 조부모의 재정적 지원 및 서비스 지원을 중심으로 (Support for Child Care: The Financial and Social Support Received from Government, Employers, and Grandparents)

  • This study examined how much support families with pre-school children receive for child care along with the types of support they receive. The paper also investigated the factors that influence the financial and social support received from government, employers and grandparents of the children. Data for this study were obtained from a questionnaire completed by mothers of pre-school children (n=641) during the spring of 2009. The data were analyzed by the following methods: $\chi^2$, t-test, ANOVA, Logit analysis, and Tobit analysis using SPSS and STATA software. The profile of support for child care showed that approximately 33 percent of families with pre-school children received free or subsidized child care from the government, 12 percent received some forms of support for child care from the parents' employers, and 26 percent received support from grandparents either financially or in the form of free child care. The results of the Logit analysis demonstrated that families with pre-school children were more likely to receive child care subsides from the government when they had a higher number of pre-school children and a lower level of family income. The significant factors that influence support from employers were mother's educational level, the number of pre-school children, and family income. The significant factors that affect support from grandparents of the children were the mother's age, the mother's employment status, the type of residence, and the family type.

도심가로변 상업 종사자의 가로 녹화에 대한 의식조사 (A Survey of commercial business men and employers' Recognition on the Street Planting)

  • This study analyzes the recognition of commercial business men and employers who operate the commercial zone along the streets in the downtown area on the planting for the roadside green space forming the important frame of greening in the downtown among the open spaces. Through the analysis, this study attempts to get the basic data to suggest the recommendable directions in planting and managing the street trees in the downtown. The results of this study are summarized as described below. The street green spaces are very important in improving the environment of the downtown and their necessities are also very critical. It was found that the street trees were recognized as the critical factor to enhance the aesthetical values of the city, provide the green shades and purify the air. This study also identified that the street trees have the positive impacts on the business environment rather than negative impacts. In maintaining the street green spaces, the most necessity is the service facility such as resting areas, toilets and garbage bins with the street trees. The commercial business men and employers who operate the businesses along the streets preferred the double layer type that the tall trees and green walls are planted together along the streets for the street planting. For securing the green shades in the city, the planting of linear green spaces such as streets and waterways is critical. Moreover, the street trees accounts for the important position in the urban open spaces. The majority of commercial business men and employers consider the participation of citizens for greening as the very essential factor.

근골격계부담작업 유해요인조사 이행 실태 조사 (Survey on Performance of the Risk Assessment of Musculoskeletal Disorders)

  • A questionnaire study was carried out to understand the status of performing the risk assessment of work-related musculoskeletal disorders(WMDSs), which is the employers' legal responsibility when the employees are involved in doing tasks with risk factors. Employers or managers from 340 companies and the representative employees from 250 companies participated in the survey. According to the participated employers and employees, 35.0~46.2% of companies had performed the first risk assessment before the end of 2005. However, it is presumed that the real condition might not be as much as the result, because most companies were very reluctant to took part in the survey. It was found that the type of business and size of the company are the main factors affecting the performance of the risk assessment in terms of the performing ratio, method, and so on. The participants were positive in the thought that the assessment would be helpful in preventing msuculoskeletal disorders, while there was a little difference between the employers and employees in the thought that the assessment would be helpful in finding the injuries in the early stage. It was found that it is necessary to modify and improve the definition and criteria of the tasks to be examined in the assessment.

고용주의 정신장애인 고용경험에 관한 연구 (The Lived Experiences of Employers among Employment of the Mentally Disabled People)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 정신장애인 고용경험이 있는 고용주의 고용경험을 깊이 있게 연구하고자 현상학적 연구를 활용하였다. 본 연구 참여자는 고용주 9명이며, 자료수집기간은 2017년 3월부터 2018년 9월까지 심층인터뷰를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 모든 자료는 녹음하였으며, 자료는 Braun과 Clarke의 방법으로 분석하였다. 분석결과 6개의 주제모음, 12개의 하위주제가 도출되었으며, 다음과 같다. 1) 막연한 걱정에 부딪침, 2) 계속되는 설득으로 혼란스러움, 3) 내 업무의 경계가 흔들림, 4) 팀의 일원이 되어감, 5) 더 나은 정신장애인 근로자를 기대함, 6) 사업체가 단결되어 나아감으로 나타났다. 연구결과는 정신장애인 근로자의 고용확대의 필요성을 제기하였다. 이와 더불어, 정신건강분야는 정신장애인을 고용하는 고용주에게 적절한 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 전문가의 지원이 필요하다.

Employers' Perceptions of Intimate Partner Violence among a Diverse Workforce

  • Objectives: Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a significant global public health concern, affecting 5.3 million US individuals annually. An estimated 1 in 3 women globally are abused by an intimate partner in their lifetime, and the effects carry over into the workplace. This article examines employers' perceptions of IPV in the workplace, targeting supervisors of Latina employees. Methods: Fourteen employers and supervisors of small service-sector companies in Oregon were interviewed using semi-structured interviews. Interpretive description was used to identify themes. These qualitative interviews preceded and helped to formulate a larger workplace intervention study. Results: The following themes were found and are detailed: (1) factors associated with recognizing IPV in the workplace, (2) effects of IPV on the work environment and (3) supervisors' responses to IPV-active vs. passive involvement. Also, supervisors' suggestions for addressing IPV in the workplace are summarized. Conclusion: These findings demonstrate the need for more IPV-related resources in the workplace to be available to supervisors as well as survivors and their coworkers. The needs of supervisors and workplaces vary by site, demonstrating the need for tailored interventions, and culturally appropriate workplace interventions are needed for Latinas and other racially and ethnically diverse populations.

산재장해인 재취업 지원방안: 시험고용(인턴) 제도를 중심으로 (Support strategy for industrial injured workers: focusing on trial work)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 산재장해인의 재취업을 높이기 위해 시험고용 제도의 도입 필요성과 활성화 방안에 대해 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 근로복지공단에 등재된 산재발생 업체 1,058곳의 사업주를 대상으로 인터넷과 종이방식을 통해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문내용은 시험고용 제도 이용 경험여부, 만족도, 지원내용과 선호도에 대해 알아보았다. 2018년 9월부터 6주간 설문이 진행되었으며 수거된 설문 중 총 201부가 최종분석에 포함되었다. 빈도분석과 t-test를 이용하여 분석하였으며, 설문결과 시험고용 제도에 참여한 사업주들은 제도에 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 보다 원활한 시험고용 제도 시행을 위해 제도신청 및 지원절차 간소화(t=2.73, p<.01), 지원금액 향상(t=3.41, p<.01), 정규직 전환 후 더 많은 지원제공(t=3.59, p<.001) 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 요구는 제도에 참여하지 않은 사업주에 비해 참여한 경험이 있는 사업주에게서 그리고 비제조업보다 제조업에서 더 높게 나타났다. 원활한 제도 시행을 위해 사업주가 원하는 지원금액은 월평균 75만원, 지원기간은 평균 8개월로 나타났다. 응답자의 80%가 이러한 지원들을 바탕으로 시험고용 제도가 개발된다면 산재근로자를 고용하겠다고 응답하였다. 연구결과를 기반으로 시험고용 제도 도입과 적용가능성을 위한 정책적 제언과 연구의 한계점을 제시하였다.
