  • The avatar can be used as an auxiliary methodology of text and image communications in cyber space. An intelligent communication method can also be utilized to achieve real-time communication, where intelligently coded data (joint angles for arm gestures and action units for facial emotions) are transmitted instead of real or compressed pictures. In this paper. for supporting the action of arm and leg gestures, a method of generating the facial expressions that can represent sender's emotions is provided. The facial expression can be represented by Action Unit(AU), in this paper we suggest the methodology of finding appropriate AUs in avatar models that have various shape and structure. And, to maximize the efficiency of emotional expressions, a comic-style facial model having only eyebrows, eyes, nose, and mouth is employed. Then generation of facial emotion animation with the parameters is also investigated.

  • The purpose of this research is to identify the everyday life culture, housing satisfaction and housing importance of older Korean-Chinese living in Harbin, China. Social survey research using the questionnaire was conducted from August to October in 2011. A total of 94 usable samples were analyzed by the SPSS version the 18.0 statistical program using frequency, percentage, cross-tabulation, factor analysis, and Pearson's correlation. The major findings were as follows. Firstly, older Chinese in Harbin were assimilated into Chinese culture such as national holidays and respectful people, but acculturated in terms of their daily food, and their preference to live in a Korean-Chinese village. Secondly, they had mainly lived in multi-story houses, the so called Chinese-style apartments. The average size of their living space was $80.33m^2$ and they were usually unsatisfied with their neighbors and floor treatment lacking Ondol(溫突). Thirdly, 5 factors affecting on housing value orientation were 'physical characteristics','emotional characteristics', 'economic characteristics', 'social characteristics', 'neighbor characteristics/reputation of the house' and they explained 73.9%. 2 factors affecting on housing satisfaction were 'inner complex/inner space' and 'neighborhood environment' and they explained 69.4%. In conclusion, some policy is needed for Korean Chinese living in Harbin for their well-being when it comes to their housing needs and conditions. Given the nature of big city, Harbin and its attraction, younger Korean-Chinese tend to be rapidly assimilated into Chinese culture. However older people in Harbin think that it is important for their children to learn both countries' languages and cultures in order to be successful, so some concrete policies and supports are needed.

  • Bodyguards always perform their duty with psychological burdens in their mind, not only because security situations are developed in various forms dependent on the surrounding environments or circumstances, but because bodyguards only take follow-up actions while the criminal decides time, place, and style of every attack. Thus, in the security situation, it is not uncommon for bodyguards to experience muscle rigidity, uncontrollable emotional elevation, difficulty in concentration, negative perception, frustration and enervation, which are caused by continuous physical/mental burdens, stimulations by various interpersonal behaviors or minute environmental stimulants. In conclusion, the result of performing security duties is related in the first place with the degree of the bodyguard's potential, in the second place with the degree of training and efficiency. And the result can also be changed by the way they control their negative psychological state of the moment when they carry out the skills they acquired. Maximizing the performance of the bodyguards by helping them overcome these psychological factors may be facilitated by detecting their psychological factors, understanding the causes, and training them in applying appropriate measures for overcoming these factors. When these measures are applied, the positive perception is indispensable that duties of protecting clients can be carried out successfully. No single measure can be declared to be more effective than the other because the effect of each measure is expressed differently by the individual characteristics of the bodyguards. However, it is important to select and apply the measures most appropriate to the bodyguard. Besides, they should devote themselves to the training with persistence because efficient implement of the measures for overcoming psychological factors takes a lot of time.

  • The 'Jeongi' genre is characterized by a style composed of poetry and prose. "Choi Chi-won" shows the important features of the early 'Jeongi' character. In this study, I explore the poetry-centered reading method, considering that "Choi Chi-won" is a work that contains a high proportion of poetry. In this paper, I propose a reading method that focuses on the change of 'rhyme' centering on the body. Secondly, it focuses on the 'Heung' reading method. If the readers focus on the poetry, they will concentrate more on their emotional functioning, so the lyrical characteristics can be more aesthetically captured through poetic poetry. The poetry-centered reading method can be proposed as a method to capture the multi-layered aesthetic qualities of texts with complex styles.

  • Humans are social animals that have gained information or social interaction through dialogue. In conversation, the mood of the word can change depending on the sensibility of one person to another. Relationships between characters in films are essential for understanding stories and lines between characters, but methods to extract this information from films have not been investigated. Therefore, we need a model that automatically analyzes the relationship aspects in the movie. In this paper, we propose a method to analyze the relationship between characters in the movie by utilizing deep learning techniques to measure the emotion of each character pair. The proposed method first extracts main characters from the movie script and finds the dialogue between the main characters. Then, to analyze the relationship between the main characters, it performs a sentiment analysis, weights them according to the positions of the metabolites in the entire time intervals and gathers their scores. Experimental results with real data sets demonstrate that the proposed scheme is able to effectively measure the emotional relationship between the main characters.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of classes using a game-based student response system on learning engagement. It is an experimental study that compares learning engagement in classes (experimental groups) and lecture-style classes (comparative groups) that utilize GSRS in nursing education. A total of 211 nursing students participated from October 2019 to December 2019. The differences in learning engagement between the two groups were analyzed as t-test and correlation analysis was conducted on related factors. There was a difference between the comparison group and the experimental group in overall learning engagement(p=.013) and emotional engagement(p=.002). This is meaningful in that it has verified the learning engagement effect of the GSRS for the first time in Korea.

  • Rider jackets were once reserved for military uniforms but have become an important styling item in recent fashion trends. The design characteristics of the rider jacket are rooted in symbolism, and the image associated with a rider jacket is in line with the challenging of authority and being a member of the rebellious youth subculture. Usually, young people with anti-social tendencies wore jackets, and some styles were used as a medium to express their emotional homogeneity, and they received favorable responses as the items represented them. The design characteristics of a rider jacket can be largely divided into resistance against the older generation, violence, challenging cultural norms, sexuality, and resistance, as well as embodying violent characteristics, including strength, courage. and male chauvinism. The reason for the development of these challenging characteristics are disparagement and anger of the lower class, who were excluded from mainstream society. Rider jackets can be viewed negatively due to the kind of message it is conveying against mainstream society. Among the sexual features were leather pants, short-length leather rider jackets, glossy metal accessories, and belt buckles, which also highlighted gay and decadent images that came to be associated with the jackets. The drapery created various kinds of wrinkles according to the way of dressing, and it had beautiful expressiveness while serving to express the body more beautifully. Drapery can be classified according to the aesthetic characteristics or expression techniques, and if the type of drapery is classified according to the morphological characteristics, it can be classified into variable and fixed structures, depending on whether the part to which the drapery is applied is fluid or not. In other words, it depends on the dressing method or the intention, and if the drapery technique is directly applied to the garment or is attached to the form. This fashion design proposal may have the greatest significance in that it sought to propose a new style incorporating a drapery technique with a strong feminine image to a rider jacket, which traditionally was associated with a masculine image.

  • Video games, recognized as the "ninth art," carry not only entertainment functions but also the significant responsibility of disseminating ideas and culture. Increasingly, game developers are integrating specific cultural elements into their games, aiming to foster cultural heritage and emotional resonance. This study explores the modern transformation of traditional artistic concepts in the digital gaming field, starting from the Chinese painting theory of 'Woyou'. By examining game examples, the study analyzes the forms of expression of 'Woyou' in virtual landscape spaces and how player identity influences the 'Woyou' experience. The findings suggest that digital games offer new forms of traditional aesthetic wisdom and that Chinese traditional painting theory can gain modern interpretation in the context of digital game design. This provides theoretical support for optimizing game visual design and promotes the expansive development of traditional art concepts in the new media era.
