This study suggests the emotion space modeling and emotion inference methods suitable for personalized services based on psychological and emotional models. For personalized emotion space modeling taking into account the subjective disposition based on the empirical assessment of the personal emotions felt by the personalization process of emotion space was used as a decision support tool, the Analytic Hierarchy Process. This confirmed that the special learning to perform personalized emotion space modeling without considering the subjective tendencies. In particular to check the possible reasoning based on fuzzy emotion space modeling and sensitivity for the quantification and vague human emotion to it based on the inherent human sensitivity.

Emotion interaction between human and robot is an important element for natural interaction especially for service robot. We propose a hybrid emotion generation architecture and detailed design of reactive process in the architecture based on insight about human emotion system. Reactive emotion generation is to increase task performance and believability of the service robot. Experiment result shows that it seems possible for the reactive process to function for those purposes, and reciprocal interaction between different layers is important for proper functioning of robot's emotion generation system.
We designed a novel individualization process for improving personal emotion recognitions in real time. The designed individualization process was performed by a neutralization algorithm of physiological signals, a subjective emotion reflection of a user updated by personal emotion rules in real time. The physiological signals such as PPG(Photoplethysmography), GSR(Galvanic skin reflex), and SKT(Skin temperature) were measured and analyzed to estimate an emotion states of users. Regulating the emotion status using by emotion rules was performed by reflecting subjective evaluations. The agreement of emotion recognition between of individualization and non-individualization method was estimated by 10 undergraduates (5 females, mean age: $22.1{\pm}2.2$) of Sangmyung University. During the emotion recognition test, 45 images were randomly presented to each participant five times. In results, the proposed individualization process showed the agreement of 71.67 % which was five times higher than when the process was not applied. Therefore, in this study, we demonstrated that the individualization process was significantly useful for customizing emotion recognitions of personal users in real time. The individualization process will be able to improve satisfactions in various emotion related applications and services in the nearer future.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the generating processes of scientific emotion, that appears during the generation of biological hypotheses. To perform the study, a tentative model was set up through pilot test, a think-aloud training procedure was planned and a standardized interview instrument was developed before getting protocols. In this study, 8 college students were selected to bring out protocol through the method of think-aloud, retrospective debriefing, focused interview and observing. As the result of analysis of the collected protocol through coding scheme, 4 types of process for scientific emotion-generating were sorted out. First type was a basic process which was a feeling process in prior to recognition. Second type was a retrospective process that explains the process of retrospect for emotional memory based on the past. Third type was a cognitive process and it explains emotion that occurs during thinking process to achieve cognitive goal. Fourth type was an attribution process and it explains that emotion is generated in the process of attribution for cognitive goal's achievement. These types of process of scientific emotion-generating can contribute the basis for developing cognitive model of EBL (Emotional Brain-based Learning) strategy.
Purpose The research was studied the hierarchical Hangul emotion index by organizing all the emotions which SNS users are thinking. As a preliminary study by the researcher, the English-based Plutchick (1980)'s emotional standard was reinterpreted in Korean, and a hashtag with implicit meaning on SNS was studied. To build a multidimensional emotion dictionary and classify three-dimensional emotions, an emotion seed was selected for the composition of seven emotion sets, and an emotion word dictionary was constructed by collecting SNS hashtags derived from each emotion seed. We also want to explore the priority of each Hangul emotion index. Design/methodology/approach In the process of transforming the matrix through the vector process of words constituting the sentence, weights were extracted using TF-IDF (Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency), and the dimension reduction technique of the matrix in the emotion set was NMF (Nonnegative Matrix Factorization) algorithm. The emotional dimension was solved by using the characteristic value of the emotional word. The cosine distance algorithm was used to measure the distance between vectors by measuring the similarity of emotion words in the emotion set. Findings Customer needs analysis is a force to read changes in emotions, and Korean emotion word research is the customer's needs. In addition, the ranking of the emotion words within the emotion set will be a special criterion for reading the depth of the emotion. The sentiment index study of this research believes that by providing companies with effective information for emotional marketing, new business opportunities will be expanded and valued. In addition, if the emotion dictionary is eventually connected to the emotional DNA of the product, it will be possible to define the "emotional DNA", which is a set of emotions that the product should have.

The interaction of emotion is an important factor in Human-Robot Interaction(HRI). This requires a contextual appraisal of emotion extracting the emotional information according to the events happened from past to present. In this paper an emotion appraisal system based on the cognitive context is presented. Firstly, a conventional emotion appraisal model is simplified to model a contextual emotion appraisal which defines the types of emotion appraisal, the target of the emotion induced from analyzing emotional verbs, and the transition of emotions in the context. We employ a language based cognitive system and its sentential memory and object descriptor to define the type and target of emotion and to evaluate the emotion varying with the process of time with the a priori emotional evaluation of targets. In a experimentation, we simulate the proposed emotion appraisal system with a scenario and show the feasibility of the system to HRI.
This research aimed 1) to analyze the relationship between consumer's emotional needs and elements of textile design in the 1st survey 2) to investigate textile design process presently conducted in the industry in the 2nd survey, and 3) to suggest a desirable direction to improve the textile design process based on a comparison of the results obtained from the two surveys. A description system and an emotion model on textile design were redeveloped as research devices in this study. In the 1st survey, total 600 respondents were sampled and asked to report their emotional response on 50 representative types of textile design, on a emotion measurement scale. The data set obtained from the 1st survey were statistically analyzed. In the 2nd survey, a depth interview was applied to qualitatively analyze the textile design process presently conducted in the industry. The results from the two surveys were compared.

Emotion directly affects consumer buying behavior. This study examines Chinese consumers' emotion elicitation process toward a U.S. apparel brand in the Chinese market. Employing a cognitive appraisal theory, this study proposed and tested a conceptual model incorporating three factors of consumer global orientation as antecedents of consumer emotion and purchase intention as a consequence of emotion. Among the ten proposed hypotheses, eight were supported. Of the three antecedents of consumer emotion, exposure to global mass media and cultural openness positively increased Chinese consumers' appraisals of a U.S. apparel brand. Unlike these two antecedents, the effects of exposure to mass migration on consumer appraisals were found to be non significant. The relationships between appraisal dimensions and positive emotion were all supported. Finally, this study confirmed that positive emotions increased Chinese consumers' purchase intentions of a U.S. apparel brand. Theoretical and managerial implications were discussed based on the findings.

Consumers experience various emotional responses to clothing in consumption process. These emotional responses are important in explaining consumer behavior of clothing. The Purpose of the study was to identify the types of emotion that consumers experience in the process of wearing clothes. A questionnaire consisted of 35 words expressing emotion was developed. 110 female college students were surveyed to find out consumption experience of clothing. The empirical study was conducted in two ways. One is that the subjects were asked to respond six-point unipolar scale of emotional adjectives to identify the various emotions that consumers experienced. The other is that four different wearing situations were described for the survey and then the subjects were asked to respond same questionnaire. The data surveyed for research were analyzed by factor analysis. The conclusion of empirical study was as follows. The types of emotion that consumers experienced at various situstions were: pleasure, arousal, unpleasure, aversion, dominance, sandness, security and tension.

The objectives of this study were 1) to ascertain whether there was a difference in product performance (expressive or instrumental), which consumer recognized after using, related to consumer involvement toward clothing, 2) to clarify the effect of product performance on consumption emotion(positive or negative), 3) to investigate the effect of consumption emotion on satisfaction, and 4) to find out whether product performance had a direct effect on satisfaction toward product. The study was conducted in three steps. Through the two steps, measurement instruments were developed. At the last step, judgement sampling method were utilized to collect the data and subjects were 614 university students. Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model analysis were used to analyze the data. The results were as follows: 1) Consumer involvement had an effect on product performances but it was related to the expressive product performance more than to the instrumental product performance. 2) Product performance had positive influence on positive consumption emotion, while it had negative influence on negative consumption emotion. The results revealed that there were significant relationships between product performance and consumption emotion. 3) Positive consumption emotion had a positive effect on consumer satisfaction, on the other hand negative consumption emotion had a negative effect on consumer satisfaction. 4) Although the direct effects of product performances on satisfaction were larger than the indirect effects, product performance was greatly influential in consumption emotion and consumption emotion was strongly related to consumer satisfaction. Therefore, consumption emotion is an important determinant variable in the process of consumer satisfaction.
