Human Sensibility Parameter Estimation by Biological Signal Processing -with the Examiner Direct-Selecting Image Presentation (생체신호처리에 의한 인간 감성파라미터 추출 - 피검자 영상제시물 직접 선정기법에 의하여)

  • This paper described the effect of subjective approach in case of the human sensibility experiments. The procedure is proceeded subjectively. Human faces are selected as the image presentation media. Pleasant and unpleasant images are selected directly by examiner, And also the image presentation system, which is executed with a computer and has the square-type black box monitor equipment, is manufactured. Images are presented with the step-variation time interval technique. questionnaire test and EEG signal detection data are analyzed. The analysis parameters are a “frequency band integral value” and a “band differential variation ratio”. he results show the high sensibility and fast response. The fact that image presenting repetition alleviates is verified.

  • The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the basic upper-limb involved in products manipulation. Upper-limb muscular deformations and electromyography (EMG) measurements are used as indexes for estimated motion: hand opening and closing, wrist extending and flexing, pronation and supination, grasping conditions. Measured values are analyzed by multivariate analysis and a regression equation is obtained for estimating the characteristics of upper-limb performance. Muscular deformation is defined as a change in shape, such as a pressure changes when the hand or wrist moves. hand opening and closing can be discriminated at a higher percentage of accuracy by muscular deformation data than by EMG data. Muscular deformation measurements using air-pack pressure sensors were verified to be effective in motion estimation applications.

  • 본 논문은 감성측정평가 시뮬레이터 구축의 일환으로 개발한 3차원 시청각 환경 제시기가 생성하는 가상환경의 현실감 점도를 평가하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 가상환경의 최소 구성성분요소들로 Size, Length, Distance 등을 설정하였으며, 이들에 대하여 가상환경과 실제환경에서 각각 실험을 통해 피실험자들의 인식전도를 측정하였다. 실험에서 사용한 측정방법은 가상세계에 대한 인식실험을 위해 개발된 Size/Distance Estimation, Sketch Map, Object Search 방법 등을 사용하였으며, 가상환경과 실제환경에서 각각 도출된 실험결과의 차이를 토대로 3차원 시청각 환경 제시기의 현실감 수준을 평가하였다. 본 실험을 위해 구성한 피실험자의 집단은 컴퓨터 사용에 익숙한 20대 이공계열 84명(남:56, 여:28)의 학생들을 대상으로 하였다. 본 논문의 의의로는 3차원 시청각 환경 제시기가 생성하는 가상환경의 현실감 수준을 평가함으로써 개발 시스템의 보완 및 발전과 본격적인 감성공학 분야의 활용을 위한 지침을 마련하는데 있다.

A PSYCHOPHYSICAL STUDY ON WEIGHT SENSITIVITY BY THE FOOT AND HAND

  • The weight of shoes may serve as a determining factor of perceived comfort and feel to the consumer in their purchase and repurchase decisions of footwear. People, however, seem to have trouble in accurately judging the feeling of weight of shoes on their feet. This paper made a psychophysical study of subjects′ sensitivity to weight on their feet and in their hands. The experiment consisted of 3 tests according to the motions people make when they evaluate the feel of shoes: 1) vertical lifting of a shoe on the foot ("hefting" in on the foot) 2) swing the shod foot back and forth; 3) holding and lifting a shoe by hand ("hefting" it in the hand). The method of constant stimuli and magnitude estimation were used for the experiment with 20 subjects. Weber′s ratios and the power law exponents obtained for each of the three tests were 0.156 and 0.713, 0.108 and 0.970, and 0.065 and 1.249, respectively in the same order of the previously listed tests.

  • Resident's agreeableness anger elevation request by improvement of life environment with economy development is increasing recently. However, research about air current estimation in dwelling environment that make use of air conditioner summer and cooling room is lacking going yet much. We are going to prefer most air current pattern(speed 3 steps of swing) that offer in PAC after figure processing because user's life hysteresis and present air current pattern that is supposed and offer more agreeable environment to room resident.

  • 본 연구는 스포츠웨어용 나일론 직물의 소리가 심한 소음으로 작용하여 착용자 뿐 만 아니라 상대방에게도 불쾌함을 주므로 이를 줄이기 위한 방향 모색의 하나로, 소리 자극에 대한 생리반응 중 근전도(Electrodiagnosis)와 소리에 대한 주관적 감성을 측정하여 의복 소음이 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 근전도는 상완이두근과 전완근에서 측정하였고, 주관적 평가는 FMME(Free Modulus Magnitude Estimation)를 이용하여 실시하였다. 직물 소리에 대한 상완이두근의 근전도 값은 직물별로 유의한 차이를 보였으나, 전완근에서는 대부분 비슷한 값을 보였다. 직물의 소리가 부드럽고 유쾌할수록 근전도값은 무자극시보다 감소하는 경향을 보였으나, 직물의 소리가 시끄럽고 날카로울수록 근전도값은 무자극시보다 증가하였다. 이로서, 직물의 소리는 상완이두근의 근전도 값에만 영향을 미치며, 직물 소음의 크기, 날카로움 등과 정적인 관계를 보이는 것을 볼 수 있었다.

A Study on the Estimation of Economic Population Statistical Model by Computer Simulation (컴퓨터 시뮬레이션에 의한 경제인구 예측 통계 모형에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the economic population prediction by computer simulation has been studied by using statistical model. The forecast of future population based on that of the past is a very difficult problem as uncertain conditions are modeled in it. Even if a thought forecast is possible, world-wide cultures and the local culture emotion the cultures of the world and out country can not be predicted due to rapid change and the estimation of population is ‘nowadays more and more’ difficult to be made good guess. In the estimation of economic population, by using the census population from 1960 to 1990, and using ARIMA model developed by Box and Jenkins, the estimation has been done on the economic population until 2021 according to age as appeared table and appendix. This kind of forecast would have both good point and weak point of ARIMA model theory saying that prediction can be done only by the economic population.

  • This paper describes to experiments on the estimation of tourist images in Busan. Preliminary tasks were performed to find out the condition of tourism souvenir and products proper to ocean city with situation in Busan. This survey analyzed by factor analysis taken in local residents, foreigners and other city. Result of factor analysis shows that the local residents and others think of Busan as similar image both. Outsider recognized Busan to tourist attractions of seaside environment and tourist facilities, and have good image of sightseeing and shopping in city. The local people remind Busan as progressive, feels sweet, activity, friendly image beside that foreign tourist remind as clean, modern, abundant, and others think as stable, changing, novelty, friendly. To abstract 8 factors among the images, take out of relevance to condition of tourist and image factors. Important factors for development of tourist industry in Busan are a feeling safe, clean, novelty in priority. And find way that enhancing image to abundant, friendly, activity were proper to tourist industry.

GA-optimized Support Vector Regression for an Improved Emotional State Estimation Model

  • In order to implement interactive and personalized Web services properly, it is necessary to understand the tangible and intangible responses of the users and to recognize their emotional states. Recently, some studies have attempted to build emotional state estimation models based on facial expressions. Most of these studies have applied multiple regression analysis (MRA), artificial neural network (ANN), and support vector regression (SVR) as the prediction algorithm, but the prediction accuracies have been relatively low. In order to improve the prediction performance of the emotion prediction model, we propose a novel SVR model that is optimized using a genetic algorithm (GA). Our proposed algorithm-GASVR-is designed to optimize the kernel parameters and the feature subsets of SVRs in order to predict the levels of two aspects-valence and arousal-of the emotions of the users. In order to validate the usefulness of GASVR, we collected a real-world data set of facial responses and emotional states via a survey. We applied GASVR and other algorithms including MRA, ANN, and conventional SVR to the data set. Finally, we found that GASVR outperformed all of the comparative algorithms in the prediction of the valence and arousal levels.

Development of Arousal Level Estimation Algorithm by Membership Function and Dempster-Shafer′s Rule of Combination in Evidence (소속함수와 Dempster-Shafer 증거합 법칙을 이용한 긴장도 평가 알고리즘 개발)

  • This research was the first step to develop Expert System for Evaluation of Human Sensibility, where human sensibility can be inferred from objective physiological signals. The study aim was to develop an algorithm in which human arousal level can be judged using measured physiological signals. Fuzzy theory was applied for mathematical handling of the ambiguity related to evaluation of human sensibility, and the degree of belonging to a certain sensibility dimension was quantified by membership function through which the sensibility evaluation was able to be done. Determining membership function was achieved using results from a physiological signal database of arousal/relaxation that was generated from imagination. To induce one final result (arousal level) based on measuring the results of more than 2 physiological signals and the membership function of each physiological signal, Dempster-Shafer's Rule of Combination in Evidence was applied, through which the final arousal level was inferred.
