온실기체 분리회수를 위한 막분리기술 연구 동향 (Research Trend of Membrane Technology for Separation of Carbon Dioxide from Flue Gas)

  • 본 총설에서는 지구온실기체인 배가스내의 이산화탄소의 분리기술중 가장 잠재성이 큰 막분리기술에 관해 기술하였다. 고분자막에 대한 기체투과(용해확산)이론과 이산화탄소/질소의 물리적인 특성을 배경으로, 많은 문헌에서 발표된 고분자소재의 투과데이터를 분석하고 이를 통해 고분자막의 물리화학적인 구조와 이산화탄소/질소의 투과선택성의 상관관계를 설명하였다. 상업적으로 기체분리에 가장 널리 사용되는 중공사막모듈의 및 분리막공정의 동향에 대해 소개하였다. 마지막으로 국내외에서 발표된 이산화탄소/질소 분리막에 대한 현재까지의 연구동향과 앞으로의 전망에 대해 기술하였다.

중간권 계면에서의 온도와 바람의 계절 변화 (SEASONAL VARIATIONS OF WIND AND TEMPERATURE AT THE MESOPAUSE)

  • 중간권 계면(고도 85km)은 중간권과 열권의 경계면으로 활발한 유체역학적 운동과 화학반응에 의한 대기 발광현상이 일어나는 흥미로운 곳이다. 그러나 직접 측정의 어려우으로 그 동안 많은 연구가 있지 못하였다. 본 연구에서는 중간계면 87km 고도에서 발생하는 수산기의 대기발광(843mm)을 지상 파브리-페로 간섭계로 측정하여 도플러 온도와 바람 속도를 측정하였다. 2년간에 걸친 장기간의 연구로 이 곳의 계절적 온도 변화가 지상의 온도 변화와 반대 경향인 것을 확인할 수 있었고, 남북.동서 방향의 바람 속도는 각각 연 1회, 연 2회 변화하는 것을 밝혀내었다. 이러한 온도와 바람의 계절적 변화는 대규모 반구간 대류 운동의 결과로 여겨진다.

  • As the Kyoto Protocol will come into effect starting February 2005, 55 member countries of the Conference of Parties of the Framework Convention on Climate Change (FCCC) will be under obligation to reduce the emissions of Carbon Dioxide $(CO_2)$ by 5.2 Percent from the 1990 levels before the year 2012. Hence the development of technology to prepare for this has been accelerated in Korea. The effect of technology varies with market size of technology, and it is necessary to control technology development period, according to the size and trend of technology market. Moreover it is essential that market analysis be finished before technology development, because market on the $(CO_2)$ Reduction and Sequestration Technology expands internationally. For that reason, it is needed to analyze domestic market and to consider technology development strategy according to analysis results. In this paper, we analyzed the domestic industry and forecasted the market size, both related to the Reduction and Sequestration Technology on $(CO_2)$ emission, which is the major component of global Green House Gas(GHG).

  • The recent environmental protection trend requires more strict energy saving, therefore every transportation system should reduce energy consumption to the minimum value. High-efficiency operation system, energy saving and $CO_2$ emissions shall be addressed as important issues in railway system. These issues are the most essential factors of railway, compared to major public transportation system. Recently, saving energy in the electric railway system has been studied. The efficient use of regenerated energy is considered to save energy. Namely, Using regenerative energy is that to store the energy generated during braking and discharge it again when a vehicle accelerates. Reusing energy stores and discharges energy, consequently enables a complete exchange of energy between vehicles, even if they are not braking and accelerating at precisely the same time, as is most frequently the case in everyday service. This paper analyzes effects of energy saving and $CO_2$-cut by using regenerative energy of electric vehicles.

CO2 양생에 의한 MgO 혼입 모르타르의 압축강도 발현에 관한 연구 (A study on the compressive strength development of mortar containing MgO by CO2 curing)

  • Currently, cement and concrete industries have been contributing to the CO2 emission worldwide. Because of that, the efforts to minimize CO2 have been the subject of many researches. This study focus on the use of GGBFS and fly ash in mortar specimens as a patial replacement of cement. Because of the limitation of the initial compressive strength, the newly efforts to enhance the strength through CO2 Curing was adapted. To accelerate the reaction with CO2, MgO was replaced by percentage from 0 to 100%. Results showed that compressive strength values at 7 days with CO2 curing done on specimens was higher than that with no CO2 curing. Similar trend was observed at 14 days too. It is therefore appeared that CO2 curing has an obvious effect on compressive strength development of mortar specimens.

  • 본 논문에서는 "Co-word" 특허분석방법과 "기술로드맵(technique road-map)" 그리고 특허활성화 라이프 사이클그래프 및 추세분석을 활용하여 ITS(Intelligent Transportation System)의 미래녹색기술에 대해 예측한다. 분석 결과 미래의 ITS 녹색 기술 분야의 발달로 탄소배출 절감 효과가 발생하기 때문에 환경 보호에 도움을 줄 것으로 예측 되었으며, 미래의 ITS 녹색 기술은 fuel saving 분야에 대한 성장이 클 것으로 예상되었다. 또한 fuel saving 분야는 미래의 IT 기술과의 융합으로 인해 더욱 실용적인 기술 분야로 발전할 수 있을 것으로 예측 되었다.

A RELATION BETWEEN ACTIVE BLACK HOLES AND STAR FORMATION OF LOCAL ACTIVE GALAXIES

  • We present an analysis of the relation between star-formation (SF) and accretion luminosities of local type-2 active galactic nuclei (AGNs) at $0.01{\leq}z<0.22$. We match type-2 AGNs found in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey to current far-infrared (FIR) survey catalogues based on AKARI and Herschel. Estimating AGN luminosities from [$O{\small{III}}$]${\lambda}5007$ and [$O{\small{I}}$]${\lambda}6300$ emission lines, we find a positive linear trend between FIR and AGN luminosities over a wide dynamical range. This result appears to be inconsistent with recent reports that low-luminosity AGNs show no correlation between FIR and X-ray luminosities; this contradiction is likely due to Malmquist and sample selection biases. Moreover, we also find that pure-AGN candidates, for which the FIR radiation is thought to be AGN-dominated, show significant low-SF activities. These AGNs hosted by low-SF galaxies are rare in our sample. However, it is possible that the low fraction of low-SF AGN is caused by observational limitations, as recent FIR surveys are not sufficient to examine the population of high-luminosity AGNs hosted by low-SF galaxies.

가속열화 된 CSPE 상태감시법 유효성 평가 (A Study on Practicality of Condition Monitoring Method of Accelerated Thermal Aging CSPE)

  • The accelerated thermal aging of CSPE(chloro sulfonate polyethylene) of test cables were carried out for the period equal to 10, 20 and 30 years in air at $100^{\circ}C$, respectively. The CSPE cables(TAIHAN electric wire Co. Ltd) which installed in nuclear power plant for three years were used as starting materials. Condition monitering methods of the accelerated thermal aging of CSPE cables were estimated through indenter modulus and OIT(oxidation induction time) of IEC 62582, and those were newly estimated through volume electrical resistivity, ultrasound reflection time, density, FE-SEM(field emission scanning electron microscopy), XPS(x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy), EDS(energy dispersive spectroscopy), and WD-XRF(wavelength dispersive x-ray fluorescence). A new condition monitoring methods of the accelerated thermal aging of CSPE cables were generally coincident with trend of indenter modulus expect EDS, XPS and XRF. A volume electrical resistivity among new condition monitoring methods of the accelerated thermal aging of CSPE cables is excellent. It is considered that life-time of CSPE cable can be predicted through volume electrical resistivity, if CSPE jacket was aged for period such as more than 20 years.

고압/저압 EGR 공급 비율에 따른 디젤 엔진의 연소 및 배기 특성 (Combustion and Emissions Characteristics of a Diesel Engine with the Variation of the HP/LP EGR Proportion)

  • The effects of high pressure and low pressure exhaust gas recirculation (HP/LP EGR) portion on diesel engine combustion and emissions characteristics were investigated in a 2.2 L passenger-car diesel engine. The po3rtion of HP/LP EGR was varied from 0 to 1 while fixing the mass flow rate of fresh air. The intake manifold temperature was lowered with the increasing of the portion of LP EGR, which led to the retardation of heat release by pilot injection. The lowered intake manifold temperature also resulted in low nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions due to decreased in-cylinder temperature and prolonged ignition delay, however, the carbon monoxide (CO) emission showed opposite trend to NOx emissions. The brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) was decreased as the portion of LP EGR increased due to lowered exhaust manifold pressure by wider open of turbocharger vane. Consequently, the trade-off relationship between NOx and BSFC could be improved by increasing the LP EGR portion.

마이크로웨이브 플라즈마를 이용한 탄화공정 및 PAN fiber의 강도 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Carbonization and Strengthening of PAN Fiber by Microwave Plasma)

  • A study to replace a high temperature thermal carbonization process with microwave plasma process is carried for PAN fiber as a starting material. Near atmospheric pressure microwave plasma (1 Torr~45 Torr) was used to control to get the fiber temperature up to $1,000^{\circ}C$. Even argon is an inert gas, its plasma state include high internal energy particles; ion (15.76 eV) and metastable (11.52 eV). They are very effective to lower the necessary thermal temperature for carbonization of PAN fiber and the resultant thermal budget. The carbonization process was confirmed by both EDS (energy dispersive spectroscopy) of plasma treated fibers and OES (optical emission spectroscopy) during processing step as a real time monitoring tool. The same trend of decreasing oxygen content was observed in both diagnostic methods.
