This study reviewed emerging trends in 3D technology adopted in apparel design research and product development for rapid prototyping and effective evaluation of product performance. Based on a literature review, the authors discussed technical advantages, practical merits and limitations, applications, and on-going developmental efforts of the following methodologies focusing on 3D body scanning and 3D motion capture, and 3D virtual fit simulation technologies. Such data-driven technical approaches observed in recent apparel design research and industry practice are expected to increasingly be adopted in the field to improve consumers' satisfaction with functionality, aesthetics, and comfort of a wide range of apparel products that include daily wear, sport apparel and protective clothing.

Advanced packaging is emerging as a core technology owing to the increasing demand for multifunctional and highly integrated semiconductors to achieve low power and high performance following digital transformation. It may allow to overcome current limitations of semiconductor process miniaturization and enables single packaging of individual devices. The introduction of advanced packaging facilitates the integration of various chips into one device, and it is emerging as a competitive edge in the industry with high added value, possibly replacing traditional packaging that focuses on electrical connections and the protection of semiconductor devices.

This paper intends to raise some of urban policy issues of managing and planning Seoul for the twenty first century. As one of the world's most dynamic megacities, Seoul is faced with at least two trends: one is globalization of the economy, and the other is humanization of urban development in relation to people's quality of life. Given this context, there are emerging issues in a time of transition as the following; pedestrianization, decline of city master plan, micro land use control, citizen involvement, metro-wide management, infrastructure provisions and maintenance, sustainable development, urban information sustaniable development, urban information system, and public-private partnership.

본 연구에서는 인문사회기반 융합연구의 관점에서 미래유망기술을 분석하여 메가트렌드, 트렌드, 이슈로 정리하여 미래 환경에 대한 예측과 인간의 삶과 밀접하게 관련이 있을 것으로 예상되는 기술에 대한 탐색을 수행하고 궁극적으로 이를 통해 다양한 사회문제를 해결할 수 있는 융합연구 의제를 예측하고자 하였다. 우선 다양한 미래 유망기술에 대해 언급한 문헌을 조사하고 이를 분석하여 핵심 키워드를 분석하였고 가장 빈번하게 사용되는 핵심키워드를 정리하여 트렌드를 유추하였다. 이어서 유추된 트렌드를 계층화하여 정리하고 핵심트렌드와 파생트렌드로 분류하여 이를 바탕으로 융합연구 의제(어젠다)를 도출하였다. 이렇게 도출된 해당 의제의 필요성, 혁신성, 융합성, 실현가능성, 미래지향성, 수용가능성을 설문조사를 통하여 조사하였다. 분석결과 융합연구를 수행하는 연구자들은 가까운 미래에 실현가능한 기술로 일상생활과 밀접한 사회문제를 다루는 의제들에 높은 관심을 보이는 것으로 나타났고 반면 먼 미래에 실현가능한 기술이나 테러 혹은 국제적 분쟁과 같은 의제에 대해서는 다소 낮은 관심을 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

정보행동은 문헌정보학 분야에서 75년 이상 동안 발전해온 중요한 연구 영역이다. 이 연구의 목적은 정보행동 내에서 떠오르는 주제 영역에 대한 통찰력을 제공하여 정보행동 연구의 최근 동향을 발견하는 데에 있다. 이 연구를 수행하기 위해 Scopus의 서지 데이터를 사용하였고 "information behavior" (정보행동), "information seeking behavior" (정보추구행동), 그리고 "information needs" (정보 필요성) 등의 정보 행동 연구에서 흔히 사용하는 주요 용어를 이용하여 정보행동의 경향을 살펴보았다. 또한 제목의 내용 단어, 많이 인용된 논문, 주제 분야 및 저자 키워드를 사용하여 동향을 분석하였다. 정보 행동 연구는 문헌정보학에 뿌리를 두고 있지만, 그 결과는 다양한 주제 영역과 교차하여 정보행동이 다른 분야로 확장되었다는 결과를 보여주었다. 특히 정보행동 연구는 건강/의학 분야에 적용되어 주요 주제로 부상되고 있음을 보여주었다. 다양한 정보행동에 대한 이해를 높이기 위해서 추후 연구에서는 정보행동의 융합적인 측면과 융합적인 범위를 조사하는데 더 중점을 두어야 할 것이다.

최근 초고속 인터넷의 발전과 더불어 영화, 게임, 음악, e-Book 등과 같은 다양한 형태의 디지털 컨텐츠 산업이 발전하고 있다. 바야흐로 21세기는 컨텐츠가 하드웨어를 지배하는 시대이며, 가치를 창출하는 시대로 변화할 것으로 전망되고 있다. 이에 본 고에서는 컨텐츠 기술 및 시장에 대한 개요를 간단히 살펴본 후, 최근에 컨텐츠의 유통과 보호 측면에서 유망 기술로 주목을 받고 있는 CDN과 DRM 기술의 동향, 그리고 컨텐츠 산업의 발전 전망을 살펴보기로 한다.

특허, 뉴스, 블로그와 같이 시간 정보가 있는 문서들로부터의 자동적인 트렌드 분석(trend analysis)은 토픽탐지 및 추적 기술(TDT: Topic Detection and Tracking)과 더불어 중요한 연구 분야로 대두되고 있다. 과거 연구들은 대부분 트렌드과 관련된 단어의 출현 빈도 정보를 이용하여 주어진 개념의 중요도를 측정하고 이 개념의 시간에 따른 트렌드 라인을 보여주는 것에 초점을 맞췄다. 신출 트렌드 (emerging trend)를 탐지하기 위해서는 주어진 개념의 출현 빈도수 변화와 같은 간단한 방법이나 학습 데이타와 비교하여 차이를 탐지하여 제시하는 방법이 사용되었다. 그러나 여러 트렌드 중에서 특징적인 트렌드를 찾아서 사용자에게 제공하기 위해서는 트렌드 순위 결정 함수가 필요하다. 본 논문은 트렌드의 다양한 측면을 정량화하기 위하여 출현 빈도로 구성된 트렌드 곡선으로부터 네 가지 속성 (변동성, 지속성, 안정성, 누적량) 을 정의하고 이를 활용한 트렌드 순위 결정 방법을 제안한다. 일련의 실험을 통하여 각 속성의 유용성을 검증하고 속성들의 조합이 순위 결정에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 실험결과로부터 네 가지 속성을 모두 조합할 경우 특징적인 트렌드 탐지에 더욱 기여하는 것을 알 수 있다.

While the body of research on metadata has grown substantially, there has been a lack of systematic analysis of the field of metadata. In this study, we attempt to fill this gap by examining metadata literature spanning the past 20 years. With the combination of a text mining technique, topic modeling, and network analysis, we analyzed 2,713 scholarly papers on metadata published between 1995 and 2014 and identified main topics and trends in metadata research. As the result of topic modeling, 20 topics were discovered and, among those, the most prominent topics were reviewed in detail. In addition, the changes over time in the topic composition, in terms of both the relative topic proportions and the structure of topic networks, were traced to find past and emerging trends in research. The results show that a number of core themes in metadata research have been established over the past decades and the field has advanced, embracing and responding to the dynamic changes in information environments as well as new developments in the professional field.

As the response to climate change becomes a more pressing global issue, so do expectations for climate change in the green information and communication technology (ICT) industry and the possibility of solving environmental problems through ICT. However, because the green ICT industry is still in its early stages, there is little research on it. Understanding the startup ecosystem in the industry is helpful for recognizing innovation trends in emerging technologies such as green ICT. In this regard, this paper investigates the current state and characteristics of the green ICT ecosystem and presents implications based on an examination of startup venture capital investment trends and submarket identification in the green ICT industry as emphasized by the carbon neutrality paradigm shift. The analysis included 4,807 companies and 3,990 funding records, as well as exploratory data analysis and "k-means" clustering techniques.

Cyberspace is emerging as a critical domain requiring national-level governance and international cooperation owing to its potential financial and societal impacts. This research aims to investigate the cybersecurity policies from major countries for understanding with comprehensive perspectives. Global trends emphasize a comprehensive command-centered approach, with top leadership directing cybersecurity policies. Key policy areas include security across technology ecosystems, protection of critical infrastructure, and software supply chain security. Investment is being focused on zero-trust architectures, software bills, and new technologies like artificial intelligence. For countries like Korea, immediate response and adaptation to these trends are crucial to develop and enforce national cybersecurity policies.
